Brad, WRT Line 6 mic pre protection, your solution of shifting the 100 ohm R's to correct place, inserting high current zeners should work *BUT* check the zeners aren't adding any noise to front end. Try an SM7 or equiv at high gain. WRT hard jobs, I get em too. There's an Ampex MM1100 2 inch machine looking at me and it's a potential minefield of problems.

It can sometimes feel like an insurmountable wall when you have a few very difficult jobs in the queue. Not great for the mental health.

Re: your comments on Dr Gears live stream - Yep, ICEpower no shipping fee is a nice bonus, have used a few recently. Still looking for a really good D class module that doesn't cost the earth.

The Hypex OEM stuff is pretty good, if still disposable. But most super powerful and compact class d modules are disposable. When they go bang, they literally blow out sections of PCB due to the close proximity of traces and the energies involved.
