I actually love the outfit with the red sweater (especially with the boots). Yes, you "lose your figure" because it's all chunky but it makes it look that much more cozy and perfect for a cold/fall day at the library, or at a farmer's market, or a museum or anything really
I'm glad you enjoyed it!! I wonder if maybe it was the chunky clothes + the glasses and collar that made it feel a little too grandmotherly to me? might have to try playing around with those pieces more:)
I loved that Liz put a cropped sweater in the outfit right after because I felt then for sure if the red sweater had been cropped or more closely fitted it would have looked excellent.
I agree! This outfit worked visually (feelings valid of course) and I loved it, especially w the boots. I wonder if some skin, throat or wrists) were showing, if that’d help? HLP just did a video w suggestions for oversized on top n bottom that was great.
I’m a little shook by the degree to which your comment mirrored the comment I intended to make! So glad to find fellow HLP and BW fans! 👋@@samiansley5740
are you kidding me the red sweater white skirt outfit is literally my favourite one in this video! I could never wear a skirt in winter tho so I'll be saving this one for spring ^^
I really liked the red sweater outfit! But I think that’s probably cuz I love being a formless yet stylish blob in the winter since most of my non-summer clothes are oversized. I agree with another commenter that maybe thick black-framed glasses might pull it together more.
I actually really like the all baggy red sweater and big white skirt look. The silhouette reminds me of a like a traditional Korean garb. I think that big triangle shape can be really beautiful.
Our color palettes couldn't be more different but i love seeing the way you play with silhouettes and pattern clashing and juxtaposing styles. You've really helped me shift the way i look at outfit building
The red sweater and white skirt might be my fav look of the whole video. I think it looks soooo cozy! Also, I got super excited when I realized I can recreate this with clothes I already own too!
I LOVE the red sweater outfit with the sneakers and with the boots. It's interesting how we perceive things so differently on ourselves vs on others because I think it looks amazing!
I actually loved that red and white outfit. I think maybe you would get more of the vibe of the inspo with like a terry crew neck or something sporty like that.
The red sweater/sneaker outfit looked good on you and it also reminded me of Copenhagen fashion. It looked good with the black boots too - an outfit that can easily be dressed up or down, but I really liked seeing you try it with your colorful sneakers.
The red sweater-white skirt combo was the best recreation! I didn’t think I would like it but it looks so nice! I love how the laces kinda match the sweater and really ties it all together. With the sneakers it’s casual running errands vibe and then switch to the boots for a night out.
Also! The beanie with the bows is so cute but in the inspo picture the bows are on the sides of the beanie like over the ears and the bow tails hang almost to the shoulders, I think that really makes it.
the red sweater and white skirt outfit is my faaaavourite i love it so much!! personally i like it best with the sneakers but the boots also look really nice! it looks so cozy yet still put together which im really trying to do lately. i don’t usually dress like this outfit but i love it and want to get out of my comfort zone a bit, i think ill try something similar :))
I’m all for big and chunky - the red sweater outfit is actually one of my favourites lol. Both shoe options are great. The sneakers make it feel like a day-to-day look, the boots give it more of an event feel
i absolutely LOVE the red white skirt outfit i think like you said the boots made it more you but i think it looks amazing!! i personally love a good skirt in autumn/winter so i love the way u styled this!
The red sweater, white collar, chunky fit you were bothered by I actually LOVED especially the contrast between different clothing aesthetic categories they would belong to. It feels very balanced and is pleasing to the eye
Couldn't be me! We are in spring, approaching summer. I loooove dressing up for summer. Ive been waiting for 6 months for hot weather to be back!! Im so excited!
The overcoat/plaid dress look is definitely giving a little Charles Dickens, especially with the vest-- it feels very Victorian factory worker, but in a fun and stylish way
I love the red sweater outfit! It's such a warm, cozy, vibe! Have you tried the black skirt from the next outfit with the rest of the red sweater outfit? Also, the red sweater fit matches the art beside you... The red, white and black colour-blocking in you and the art mimicking each other is everything
You've made me so much more excited about my wardrobe and glad I don't throw anything away! This video alone has given me so many ideas for styling the new heeled boots I bought yay ❤
“A delightful success” is such an inspiring phrase for me! It’s what I want to channel! Like, I’ll just be doing my best and if stuff works out, what a delightful success! Feels like a perfectionism-antidote ❤
I think my favourite is literally the red sweater, white skirt outfit and I am definitely going to be recreating it with all of my brightly coloured sweaters!
I loved ❤️ outfit 5…the white skirt outfit w the tennies! It looked really good on you! Slouchy and comfy! All outfits 5 ⭐️. I love this video style Liz because you reuse garments so well! It’s nice to re visit what we already have in our closet and your outfit inspo is a testament of that! Awesome 👏! And the plaids! Yes!
My jaw dropped when you put on the oitfit with the red sweater. I am OBSESSED. Like genuinely a little devastated that I don't own the pieces to wear it myself. You look stunning!!
I’ve been struggling so badly with layering clothing for cold temps lately so this vid was really helpful! I’m going to take elements and apply them to my teacher daily outfits ❤️
I think that the way you play with your style and fashion in general is so fun and I hope to be able to make some fun outfits like this during the winter 😌
These are all so fun, and I love how you don’t “perfectly” match things, you take the concepts and make them your own. I don’t like wearing chunky with chunky, but in other countries that silhouette is often so popular. I’m particularly thinking of Japanese fashion, where there’s a LOT of straight shapes and it’s so dang cute and fashionable. But when I try it, I feel like I look like I’m in a burlap sack. 🤦♀️
About the red sweater, white petticoat combo... try changing the length of the skirt by hitching up the belt. Maybe a couple of inches would do it. Maybe wear it above the knee. Or take one bit of the bottom ruffle and pin it up to show some calf. It could be really cute if it weren't slightly drowning you.
I can’t remember the last time I watched an outfit video and loved every single look! I’ve been in such an outfit rut lately and this was honestly so inspiring~
I really really liked the color pallet of the red sweater outfit with the sneakers! The red shoe laces with the red sweater and white and purple were satisfying
I like the red sweater and white skirt with the athletic shoes very much. If you feel you need more definition in the waist, maybe try belting the sweater. It's a great look with your coloring.
I really enjoy your video.. i loved all the looks.. you made em look even better than the pinterest ones. I would say your style is adjacent to mine, and watching this showed me ways I can spice up my looks. Thank you 😊
I really liked the outfit white long skirt with the sneakers (as a fun and more casual alternative to the boots). I get that the overall thing has an issue and for me, it is the red bulky sweater. If the top sweater was more fitted and a little more cropped, it would look really cool, I think. Thank you for inspiring me to some experiments with my closed!
def recreating the first one. I just thrifted a 100% wool vintage pedelton red n black plaid pleated skirt n I have brown tops n jackets I can pair with it like you n the inspo pic did!
You really pull off these looks well. This kinda stuff never looks right on me. I do kinda want me some plaid stuff now though and i'm wishing i hadn't got rid of my long coats like that... i used to have a few years ago. can't keep everything tho ha ha
Every time I watch your videos, I get some brand new inspiration 🤩 this time it was pairing a vest with a dress, I had to pause the video and think about why I had never done that before!
omg i looove the outfit with the red sweater and white skirt!! Thhe shoes really worked! I 100% would have worn it myself! I felt confused when you said you didn't know how to feel about it because it looked so strikingly cool to me
I too love the white skirt with sneakers outfit. I think pushing up the sleeves might have helped - that's what I often do when I feel like an outfit is a bit too much fabric, if that makes sense - showing some skin might help balance it out a bit.
I like the red sweater with the white skirt, even though if I wear something like that, I feel like it's too much fabric. I have a red plaid wool skirt that I seldom wear, so I'm going to experiment with it. Thanks for the inspiration!
This is seriously just delightful. I love it. Especially that they are realistic for cold weather! You'd be shocked how many videos give winter outfits that I'd FREEZE to death in here in Canada
I know I’m eight months late to the discussion BUT for the long white skirt outfit- if you used a belt to artificially crop the sweater it would absolutely make the outfit !! I think giving it that little bit of interruption in the shape with a fake crop would be so fun
The Red sweater/white skirt outfit with the sneakers is so cute!! Maybe try pinning up the bottom of the skirt to make it like a bubble hem. That might make it closer to the reference pic ✫✫✫✫
re: red sweater/white skirt outfit - I totally understand what you mean about it feeling like too much fabric. I think it might be one of those situations where it looks good on camera but doesn't actually work in three dimensions. You could try it with a belt maybe? A bit of structure could help, or maybe it's just one of those outfits that only looks good standing up from a certain angle. I personally don't love the combo of cherry red with white, so maybe it's the colour throwing you off as well.
Personally I love the sneaker / white skirt look! Even better with the boots I think 😍 I have to disagree on the plaid vest and collar look though, its just too jumbled it's giving Edwardian toddler 😂 loving these videos keep em coming ❤
You forgot to mention that O My Bag has a secondhand section! i was about to leave after seeing the price on the new ones (price is prob justified but a bit high for me) but then I saw their secondhand stuff for almost half price! I kinda want one now haha

Came here to say this! Loved this outfit

Yeah it looked really great !
Agreed! Such a good outfit.
a long skirt can always be worn over pants if you want to make it more weather appropriate
@@lilataylor7825i loved it so much too!
It was my favorite too, especially with the unexpected sporty shoes, but the boots were fine too
I really liked the red sweater outfit! But I think that’s probably cuz I love being a formless yet stylish blob in the winter since most of my non-summer clothes are oversized. I agree with another commenter that maybe thick black-framed glasses might pull it together more.

I'm so glad you've gotten some inspo from my videos to apply to your own style! :')
Same! I dress alt-goth so mostly black with touches of red, purple or green but I love her videos and get inspired by them
@@mekarequeenofthedamn lol literally same
The red sweater and white skirt might be my fav look of the whole video. I think it looks soooo cozy! Also, I got super excited when I realized I can recreate this with clothes I already own too!
The red sweater and white skirt is so awesome! Best outfit for me 🎉
And the next one rocks also! Great video ❤
I'm obsessed with the ribbon as a bow with a regular collared shirt, I can't wait to try this, maybe with mix and match plaids!
yaayyyy, do it do it!!
I'm glad you loved it!! I agree something less traditional would balance the skirt well
The red sweater/sneaker outfit looked good on you and it also reminded me of Copenhagen fashion. It looked good with the black boots too - an outfit that can easily be dressed up or down, but I really liked seeing you try it with your colorful sneakers.
Red sweater + skirt + sneaks ABSOLUTELY worked. Honestly it was just a matter of personal taste.

I feel like cold weather styling is so perfect for you!! Also love how the red sweater & white skirt look turned out - it worked for me!
omg i forgot to reply to this but thank u hehe, & you seem to be in the majority, so many people in the comments loved that one!!
actually i’d love for you to do a video on how you’d style skirts and dresses of any kind for this winter!!
I’m all for big and chunky - the red sweater outfit is actually one of my favourites lol. Both shoe options are great. The sneakers make it feel like a day-to-day look, the boots give it more of an event feel
Oh I loved these! Soo cute, the first one was definitely my favorite 😍 also pleasee make styling summer video for us southern hemisphere girlies!
i absolutely LOVE the red white skirt outfit i think like you said the boots made it more you but i think it looks amazing!! i personally love a good skirt in autumn/winter so i love the way u styled this!

The red sweater fit is literally my favorite!! I can’t wait to recreate it with my long black tiered skirt!

Um I agree with everyone that this red white sweater skirt combo is amazing!
lol the people have spoken!!! I might just have to give it another try
Honestly, the red sweater/white skirt combo is my favorite! I love the sporty look of it so much.
I also didn't like the red sweater with the white skirt but LOVED the one you like more with the black skirt and white turtleneck, totally my style.
i love the white tights and red boots combo in the last outfit!
The beanie with the bows would absolutely be part of your cartoon character's everyday fit! So cute!!
I really enjoy your video.. i loved all the looks.. you made em look even better than the pinterest ones.
I would say your style is adjacent to mine, and watching this showed me ways I can spice up my looks. Thank you 😊
You’re so gorgeous and witty and so watchable! Love you!
omg i loved the red sweater with the white skirt! i know the proportions might be odd to some but i adore a baggy flowy top with a flowy skirt 🥰🥰🥰
wait I love the white skirt red sweater outfit 🥺 it was low-key my fav I might have to try it for myself
I really liked the outfit white long skirt with the sneakers (as a fun and more casual alternative to the boots). I get that the overall thing has an issue and for me, it is the red bulky sweater. If the top sweater was more fitted and a little more cropped, it would look really cool, I think.

The red jumper, white skirt outfit was honestly my favourite of the video 😅But I'm a sucker for baggy on baggy, the more volume the better!

That red sweater, white skirt outfit is my absolute favorite, but I would wear that in a heartbeat so I'm biased lol
Red sweater and the white skirt is perfect!
Love the red sweater, white skirt black boots!!! I think the baggy on baggy looks good, especially on you or other thin bodied people
my fave was the one with the red sweater, it looks so intentionally put together.
I’ve been way into moody dark purple printed tops this fall. Love yours!
thank you!! it's a great fall/winter vibe I agree
You really pull off these looks well. This kinda stuff never looks right on me. I do kinda want me some plaid stuff now though and i'm wishing i hadn't got rid of my long coats like that... i used to have a few years ago. can't keep everything tho ha ha
loved this!! i feel so inspired by looks 6 and 7, the original fits and your recreations are super cute 💖
thank you!! so glad you enjoyed, & glad other creators gave me such great outfit inspo!!
i absolutely loved the red sweater/white skirt look with both shoe options! funny how different preferences can be haha
Every time I watch your videos, I get some brand new inspiration 🤩 this time it was pairing a vest with a dress, I had to pause the video and think about why I had never done that before!
this makes me so happy!!! I love a vest with a dress, hope you get to style some together now too hehe
omg i looove the outfit with the red sweater and white skirt!! Thhe shoes really worked! I 100% would have worn it myself! I felt confused when you said you didn't know how to feel about it because it looked so strikingly cool to me

Love this idea of videos, I'm in a no buying period ❤
Awesomeness:
Watching Liz' new video while getting up and finding the inspo to try a new combo.
Thank you! ❤
I like the red sweater with the white skirt, even though if I wear something like that, I feel like it's too much fabric. I have a red plaid wool skirt that I seldom wear, so I'm going to experiment with it. Thanks for the inspiration!
I like the red sweater and white skirt with the tennis shoes! I do like baggy on baggy, but I think you could pin up the sweater to crop it.
I like baggy on baggy but those pieces just felt.. bulky maybe? glad you liked it though & I like that pinning up idea!!
Loved the beanie outfit! Very funky and cool. I would definitely wear it!
This is seriously just delightful. I love it. Especially that they are realistic for cold weather! You'd be shocked how many videos give winter outfits that I'd FREEZE to death in here in Canada
thank you so much! :') & lol as a Wisconsin girl, I'm so glad these pass the Canada check
I think a good steam would make your outfits soo spot on to the inspirations
Definitely prowl around and set up inspiration on Pinterest to recreate outfits.
I know I’m eight months late to the discussion BUT for the long white skirt outfit- if you used a belt to artificially crop the sweater it would absolutely make the outfit !! I think giving it that little bit of interruption in the shape with a fake crop would be so fun
I really liked the OG red and white outdit
I actually really like outfit 5!! I love baggy + baggy on you :)
The Red sweater/white skirt outfit with the sneakers is so cute!! Maybe try pinning up the bottom of the skirt to make it like a bubble hem. That might make it closer to the reference pic ✫✫✫✫
oooo you're onto something
re: red sweater/white skirt outfit - I totally understand what you mean about it feeling like too much fabric. i just love watching your take on different outfits, its very entertaining and inspiring
I really liked the red sweater with the white maxi? It’s fine that you don’t but I’m totally stealing that!
What?!? I legit also screen grabbed that Carrie Dayton outfit!!! Loved it so much and I can’t wait to try it out now!!!
omg hahah I love this so much. I hope it works out great for you too then we can all match
Personally I love the sneaker / white skirt look! Even better with the boots I think 😍 I have to disagree on the plaid vest and collar look though, its just too jumbled it's giving Edwardian toddler 😂 loving these videos keep em coming ❤
I love these Pinterest videoooos❤
You forgot to mention that O My Bag has a secondhand section! i was about to leave after seeing the price on the new ones (price is prob justified but a bit high for me) but then I saw their secondhand stuff for almost half price!
I kinda want one now haha
LOVE that the O My Bag!s are vegan!!! yay!!!
I always love your style videos! Thank you for sharing :)
Okay but the outfit 6 slays
I love the third and seventh outfits
i think for the outfit with a red sweater you can get safety pins and ribbon to scrunch up the bottom to get the hem line in the original photo
At first I was sceptical about you showing us all the pieces you were going to put together for an outfit before putting them on... may be because it is not how it is most commonly done in similar videos. But after the first outfit I thought that is was actually a very good idea because it recreates the actual process how a person does this in reality! Great job =)
Also the red sweater outfit looks great on you! It might be not your cup of tea but it looked cool to me!
But I think what have ruined the final outfit (for me personally of course!) was the skirt. I feel like smaller (shorter and less voluminous or just shorter ) skirt or shorts would have changed the silhouette to the better. But of course it is just my taste!
You look great in everything
I think the red and white outfit was actually my favorite! (Along wt the first one) i think it looked great on you! I wish i could pull off oversized on top of oversized but my giant chest gets in the way 😅
Belt the skirt with a giant belt that peeks out under the jumper and that outfit is 12/10 imo
feeling inspired, i need to go play dress up now!!!
yay!!!
Your outfits always start so many unexpected trains of thought for me. Outfit 2 is kinda Toulouse-Lautrec?? And outfit 7 reminds me of Honey&Clover vibe?
omg I love these connections. the beauty of art and fashion really transcends a single time/place!!!
O My Bag sounds really goodie !! I’ll check them out.
