This scanner opens from behind, it only has two hooks hidden by the hinge. Remove the lid and it opens smoothly.

No, oil is very liquid for this. Cheapest solution are cosmetic vaseline.

scanner working but in colour mode scan white paper scans as yellow scan , how resolve it .
I have same scanner with me giving me problem of yellow colour vertical line at 3 places Please help me to solve the issue.
I have g2710 scanner with broken mini din connector and want to repair it. Can anyone help me? Thanks
