The Magach Hydra is the new most fun tank in War Thunder. What is basically an M60 Tank with two giant rocket pods either side of the turret it is both really fun and also VERY effective.
Rocket tanks in War Thunder are usually pretty goofy and a little bit of a gimmick. The Magach Hydra throws that trope out of the window. The Hydra rockets have 300mm of penetration and can be spam fired. On top of that, you still have a cannon that has better penetration, fully stabilized and has a laser range finder.
In a brawl, this thing is insane. Seriously, seriously fun tank! :)

Hey, you can bind a key to untrack so that you can choose a new target. I use "2" on my mouse to "Fire air-to-ground missile", "Drop guided bombs", and "Lock guided bombs".
Then I have "Shift+2" and "Ctrl+2" set to "Weapon Lock (air-to-ground)". This lets me lock and fire with the same button and if I get a bad lock I simply hit the modifier to drop the lock and try again.
Additionally for a very similar one I do the same thing with "Activate target point" set to 9 and "Deactivate target point" set to Shift+9 and Ctrl+9. Which one you need to use depends on the weapons you are using.
Why the "Did someone say oil?" slogan? Is that some kind of cheeky jab at the U.S.? The Sherman was mainly used in WW2 and that war was not about oil. I've got an idea for a slogan for the underside of British MBT..."Keep calm and beg the Yanks to bail us out." Brother, I'd totally understand it on an Abrams M1 plushie and even find it funny (because sadly, it's true), but come on man. Have a little class. It's out of place and out of line on the Sherman. To un-lock the bombs, you need to set a bind for "lock guided bombs"

I'm pretty sure you can bind the "deselect target point" in options for the bombs, that's what I normally use, or you can cycle weapon selection real quick.
Magach Hydra does look pretty fun! Mr. Bawz, I recommend you try the 122 mm toting 8.3 Soviet heavy tank, the last in the tree: the T-10M. 17-19 second reload in a BR surrounded by autoloaders and 105mm guns that reload in under 8 seconds.
T10 is so good
T-10M also has autoloader. Just an older one. The problem is that it was using two piece munition so it was doing twice the amount of operations. Though it's not like "newer" soviet autoloaders fixed that issue.

@@kobeh6185 yep. and aced relaod is 15s, so not that bad. APHE is mostly enough for everything, thos it has HEAT and HE too (and APDS, but let's just not talk about that)
@@o-hogameplay185 In playing it for, a long time, I found its greatest weakness is that it's much slower than it needs to be, because it's carrying around rolled homogeneous armor thats literally obsolete. No composite, no spaced, nothing.
If we ever get the Leyland Armoured Car in the British tech tree, it's has to be labeled as an Irish vehicle.
We already have the Landsverk L-60 (Strv m/38, m/39, /m40L &m/40K) in the game, so all Gaijin has to do is create the main armoured car itself, based on the chassis of the 6x4 version of the Leyland Terrier truck.
Would be awesome to have the Leyland Armoured Car in the British tree
Probably a battle pass or event vehicle sadly, they don't like to add fun stuff too often for free/research
The fun part is that irl there are many laser guided versions of Hydra 70. Doesn't change much for this tank in the game or irl, just a cool thing. Would have changed a lot for LAV-AD though.

I too struggle with TV guided munitions being a PITA, but since you're using weapon select, just cycle through weapon select to unlock the TV seeker and try again.

Last video, 5 minute rant on people using smoke. This video, "I've got no smoke" in two different battles😂 To be fair bawz was trying to cover an exposed advance on the first mention, and cover himself during a repair after already killing the enemy the second time

I dont know if its a new thing or not, but apparently yhe M1A2 SEP has a heat round with proximity fuze( the penetration is only 350 mm but against helis.....its very funny)

My fave medium tank with rockets has to be the Cromwell V RP-3 which has four rockets that can sometimes mess things up
Those things are nasty at close range, if you find a cap with enough cover that's flat enough you can defend it like crazy
@@Rorywizz yeah plus if someone takes your barrel you have a second weapon to use
The only major downsides are trying to aim the rockets and the Cromwells terrible reverse speed.

Is there a way to deactivate the CCIP? I have noticed it coming up on some aircraft and even though I have no key binds for it, it comes up anyway and interferes with my bomb drops.

The bosvark is surprisingly good. I managed to survive from the start to the end of a game with like 5 kills and I never do that well in AAs.
