Hi!! No need to wait now-HydroSnooze has got you covered with no subscription required! 😊 You can enjoy personalized cooling or warming (55°F to 110°F) without any extra fees. Plus, it's super quiet and energy-efficient. Give it a try and see the difference for yourself! If you have any questions, feel free to ask. 🌙✨
I can't believe they're making beds require a subscription now-NO THANK YOU. What a bunch of jerks 8-Sleep must be-money-grabbers. It's so unnecessary for a bed that already costs more than the others. I hope this company miserably fails. The influencer model is getting boring, and if something has an 'influencer' peddling it, I already know it's a garbage product, only paying the most to whoever says it's awesome. The internet is broken.
Agree. And also, don't reward these companies that are ruining our country because they are slowly taking away the option to own anything and instead renting it to us.
They really would make more money if they just changed the price of mattress from 2500 to 3000. And no subscription. That would cover almost 3 years of their monthly revenue. And they would sell more because very few people want to deal with a subscription to a product they already own.
Big nope on the subscription from me. Easily doubling the already pricy cost over the lifetime of the product. Plus if they ever go out of business then say bye to all the features.
@@RichardKohbergerappreciate such an honest review my dude!! I wanted one til the subscription service 🥲🥲🥲 please do a whole vid about how subscription services are ruining the world and why tffff they exist lmaoooo.. no but really.. I’d love to see tht vid 🤣
Those are the reasons we bought the Dock Pro. It has an app that controls the temp, but there are also manual buttons on the device to control temp. So if the company goes under, which they almost did a year ago, you can still control the device. That being said. The Dock Pro has its issues too.
I looked into getting one of these, but then noped out when I saw the subscription. As soon as I saw this video’s title, I knew what the infuriating part was.
If i buy this product for $2100 and live for another 45 years it will cost me $10,200. I'm still waiting for objective data that this actually helps you get better sleep. So far there's 0 evidence it does. No thanks.
Everyone is differnt i know people who literally cant sleep if its to warm or to cold. Personally i feel you could achieve the same affect for a lot cheaper by just cooling or heating your room. Definitely dont need to drop 2.5k and a subscription to achieve that.
On the data side, you can measure your sleep quality with any fitness tracker for 21 days, then get this thing and measure another 21 days with it and see if it makes a difference for you. There is 30-day return policy. But fully agreed with the sub model.
Something fair to justify the subscription would be to make a huge drop to the matress cover price. That way you get as many people as possible into your ecosystem and have them use the subscription model. But paying almost 3k in order to even have the product and then paying them monthly that is simply a robbery
My roommate has one of these and swears by it. It sounded great and I was really interested, especially since my room is upstairs and in the summer it can get very hot, even with register fans and a ceiling fan. Shortly after he purchased it, they instituted the membership and there's now no chance I'd ever consider one. I'm not paying a subscription for my bed.
I mean if it gives you even 10% more energy each day for the $280 a year over a 5 year lifespan of the product? That seems pretty worth it to me lol. Poverty mindset dude. $280 is pennies Use the extra energy to just creat a company with this same product with no subscription

I’ll be honest though… i wouldn’t have gotten it if I had to pay for the subscription. At the time I purchased the product this was not the case and luckily I still don’t. Other things, these Pods and pod covers are not invincible - due to leaks, I’ve had 3 pod cover replacements over the years (luckily under warranty). I’ve yet to need to replace the Pod itself which is a separate warranty that has expired for me since I’ve never replaced it. All that to say though…. Best freaking sleep EVER. It’s extremely accurate. And I have one of the earliest Pods. The latest newest pods are even more intriguing and amazing features. Can’t wait to upgrade in the future. Between a sale and family members discount code I was able to pick up the pod 2 for 950 dollars. Then my order got delayed twice and when it arrived I found out that they upgraded me to the pod 3 cover with perfect fit. Welcome change. So I decided to keep the subsction for a couple years with the savings I got. Also I’ve read very good things about customer service. My uncle had his leak after 3 years and they sent him a pod 4 for only 250 dollars

But a big clear NOPE on the subscription. I also don't like that there's no manual hardware settings. I cannot stand the idea of another "tracker" just for them to profit off my personal habits. that subscription kills the resale value as well. i was looking into buying the hub 2nd hand then order a new cover from the company (u can order a new one with some hassle). but now knowing that i cannot set a manual heating/cooling schedule nor set the alarm is a deal breaker even for a used one.
I laughed out loud when I visited their website and saw that a subscription was required. This thing must cost $300 to make so I'm surprised another company hasn't come up with a simpler (and cheaper) design with manual controls. Maybe no vibrating alarm. Just set the times for temperatures 1 and 2 and a time to turn it off. It doesn't need to sense anything. I don't want the internet to know that much about my biology.
7:52 ... didn't expect to laugh so hard in a bed accessory review. Well played. Yeah, the subscription thing is infuriating... maybe my bedjet isn't so bad after all... Anyway, great review!

At least they left if wide open for competition to come in and offer a realistic price for what this is. Just a small water chiller connected to a pad with tubes. Hard to rationalize even 1k for this
For half the price of a matress cover i could just install a heat pump, which uses less power and has the cabibilitu to actualy lower the entire room temp The matress cover cannnot go below the room temp
I never thought thibgs would get so dystopian people are willingly buying a fucking mattress with a subscription. Even with a gun to my head, you couldn't get me to continue those antivirus subscriptions for the computer or any other subscription for that matter.
Imagine suffering from insomnia and depression and buying this thing to have at least a nice bed setting and boom you’re getting bashed by the app for not sleeping
I bought this super expensive mattress and it's been just over one year and the hub stopped working. I've contacted support but it's very very very frustrating so far because they have been zero help. I wouldn't recommend this mattress to anyone.
Seems like it costs a lot to uphold that 5 year warranty, that's maybe why the subscription fee is there also. People *ucking and *ucking on such a thin piece of cloth carrying water, what can go wrong? Can't they just use biomarkers to notice action and reduce the warranty for those who can't use the bed for what its supposed to be used for sleexping. The easier and cheaper option for bed cooling I think, would be to hook up some tubes with holes in them into the mattress topper and airate the mattress. Heck the air system probably could be put under the mattress topping and still give enough cooling... No water, easy maintenance, less bacteria due to a dry bed. But you cannot heat the bed, but I think for most people getting a cooler bed is more important
Was considering buying this up until hearing there is a subscription model. That’s a hard no from me dawg. Not going to support any business on that subscription for hardware crap.
Can’t have my animals immediately took this out of my mind. If they ever change that then I’d get it and see if it helps. Posted that pre subscription information. If im paying $2.5k for something then it’s mine not something I should have to keep paying for after I bought it.
Conclusion: I will wait until a competitor come with a no subscription solution.

Would you suggest purchasing an Eight Sleep when you have a "split head king" mattress?
Was going to buy one. Then i saw the subscription and pulled back and deleted the cart.
Whats the best alternative(s) to this, i was all gun-ho till finding about the awful forced subscription
Amazing product. Crappy business.
Like someone else said, I’ll wait for a competitor to offer one without a subscription.
Bruh i got an eight sleep ad before the video and i legitr though it was the video
For half the price of a matress cover i could just install a heat pump, which uses less power and has the cabibilitu to actualy lower the entire room temp
The matress cover cannnot go below the room temp
I never thought thibgs would get so dystopian people are willingly buying a fucking mattress with a subscription. Even with a gun to my head, you couldn't get me to continue those antivirus subscriptions for the computer or any other subscription for that matter.
Great video bro
Any similar products that dont require a subscription?
Get the ChiliPad. Cheaper initial cost and no subscription required.
Held hostage via subscription such bs
good review, good production
Much appreciated!
I was about to buy it until that subscription.
Good tech, I will wait until another company come out without a subscription
Was considering buying this up until hearing there is a subscription model. That’s a hard no from me dawg. Not going to support any business on that subscription for hardware crap.
Can’t have my animals immediately took this out of my mind. If they ever change that then I’d get it and see if it helps. Posted that pre subscription information. If im paying $2.5k for something then it’s mine not something I should have to keep paying for after I bought it.
The subscription is definitely a deal breaker for me. 🤦🏽♂️
