That’s respectable power from a 1.8! Maybe enough to suck in the bonnet lining that dangles from above! Love those e30s with the 4 pot. Keep these videos coming! 1:44
I've watched all the new m40 videos and read about the mods to the engine , i have a m40b16 myself with speeduino ecu and diy itbs and i'm tryna tune it.What mods exactly does this have? I've read about the crank pistons and rods swap(m42 or m44?), did you swap to chain timing or standard belt? Also what degree cam do you have in?Send a insta or something, i'd love to chat about it all
I'm unsure of cam as my customer built the engine it may be a dbalis sport cam, it has a belt and we're running a complete m44 loom with a wiring adapter to suit emu classic, we're running a cam sensor too, I can be found on FB "Daniel Groot"
You can use m40b18 crank or then m47d20 crank. M47 crank need to be machined litle bit. Shorten crank nose and machining new wedge groove. Other wise its bolt on. On m47 crank you can use 135mm rods and m43 pistons on m40. Or just custom pistons. I did use m40b18 crank and 140mm Hrods and fcp m54b30 pistons. It is bolt on set. It gives 1mm deck clearance. You can machine it out of that block or leave it . I did leave it like that and we did take 1.5mm off the head. If you use 1mm head casket on it gives about 9.5:1 compression. If you take that 1mm off the block deck it gives 10-10.5 compression.
@@hannonen9740 So with m40b18 crank and m54b30 pistons I'd have a 1mm gap between the pistons and block top level right? With no machining and a 1mm head gasket , I'll get 9.5 ish compression ratio? Also if I use the m47 crank , I'll only need to machine it to fit the timing belt pulley right? How much improvement to horsepower do both give?I'm so thankful for the info you provided

I was tuning it, but my face is best left to radio 😂
Our appearance has nothing to do with what we have to offer to the world and your face is fine 😄
