Only thing I hate about the anime was its bittersweet ending. I wanted more minutes

I liked the ending but wished there was some sort of kiss/interaction no just a smile at the end 😭🙏🏽 and the so each was a bit king too-

First anime movie that made me cry my eyeballs out... As a person with social anxiety AND insecurities , I could actually relate to this... I never removed my mask because I thought of myself as the ugliest in existence, and it was really hard for me to accept myself the way I am , and NGL i still haven't... The grandpa story just made me cry even more.... The love confession in the end was just so cute and beautiful... Me and who ? 💀

4: and lastly I love every thing in the movie it's just ✨holesome✨
(It is now my 1st favorite anime film)

I like the animation and colourful art. The over cartoonish animations, not everyone may like it but I love it.

This was honestly my first real into to anime, and out of everything I’ve ever seen I feel like it’s the closest to me cause I got some of the same problems as the main characters, and it is now my all time favorite movie, and I can’t wait to see more masterpieces of art

I just watched the movie and I laughed, cried a little, smiled, cried a lot, was happy, then threw my phone across the room because it was over. It was a good movie 👍
I’ve watched this like 5 times! It’s so good!
I could somewhat relate to Smile in this movie. When I was younger, I was playing at some indoor playground with my friend. We were jumping in the ball pit and my friend accidentally landed her foot on my two front teeth- they were knocked out and didn’t grow back till about a year later. I soon started a habit (bc u know you tend to lick the holes your teeth came out of) I started swallowing really weird where I pushed my tongue up and usually there were no teeth there but I continued to do it with teeth and I developed really bucked out teeth from pushing on my teeth every time I swallowed. Now I have braces and the issue is fixed but I had bucked teeth for YEARS and they definitely weren’t cute like smile’s-
Was so exited for this as it looked amazing but was disappointed

I like the film but there were several things that were very frustrating.

Like when she ran to the back with the record. In my head I was screaming "why are you touching it more than necessary and why the hell are you running with it?!" Then she doesn't even know if it will play if it warped yet decides it must be fixed. She doesn't even know if it can be played or not. She has at least two ppl that know about records inside. Why the hell would she decide she is now the one that should take the lead?!
Then the male lead always not being able to say he is moving is such a lazy trope. Okay....so you got interrupted. How about the very next thing you say to her is "I'm moving". Problem solved. I could understand at first maybe you want the right timing and mood to tell her that but after a while and the deadline is getting closer you just have to tell her. If the author wanted to make it so he didn't tell her but that he knew for a while then just give him a reason he doesn't want to tell her. Just have a scene where he tells himself that he just wants to enjoy his time with her and doesn't want to sadden the mood. Something like that. There are lots of motivations that could work. But the trope that he wants to tell her but keeps getting interrupted is lazy, uninteresting, and not realistic.
Also, he loses his headphones without much motivation. Because a girl likes you know you want to hear the world? What? It would be different if somehow she changed his perspective on the world but she didn't do anything like that and he was never shown to go on that journey on his own either. They just wanted to make him have a parallel to her but they didn't develop or resolve it well.
I also don't care for how he is the one that caused them to distance themselves yet she is the one that reaches out. It would have been much better if he was the one that reached out or if she was the one that caused the distance. I also don't get why he couldn't have just asked his family to wait a few hours so he could enjoy the festival and say his goodbyes. He could have asked weeks ago. His family is portrayed as not being so unreasonable that they would not agree.

I couldn't even finish this movie. I didn't enjoy it at all. The plot was good, I must admit, but the voice lines didn't match up with the sub-titles, the animation got lazy at many different points, ect. 3/10, do not recommend.
