About me:
Hi I'm Matt aka mattscardshop - join me through my journey as I try to live one of my childhood dreams - collecting sports cards. On my UA-cam channel I do videos on: sports card maildays, PSA submission reveals, box breaks and more. I also go through my success and failures with investing in sports cards, so hopefully you all can learn something too.

Credit to you for setting up whilst not at your sharpest and for having the humility to keep your brain fade in. A good watch.
Thanks mate, appreciate it!
Nice stuff got some cool pickups! Thanks for coming by the stall and stopping to say hello!
Where was this card show when is the next?
Thanks mate, keep up the content!
@@Bulldogg3000 next Melbourne HH is mid November, otherwise Melbourne Card Fair is held monthly/bimonthly
Great job Matt. Wasn't able to make this one, cool to see UFC being asked about. Weather was pretty shite, was it cool where you were set up? Remember last HH hot as in that area, with the lights as well. I reckon Palms off has one of the best spots everytime.
I think i preferred this spot just in terms of space between vendors, neighbours on the last one had a lot of stock and there was a lot of squeezing past haha. Yeah, it seems like I have to pay someone, but I'll take it!
Back with the crew and at a card-swap meet-up
Should’ve come down!
It would be cool if card shows offered a more accessible entry way for new people that are thinking of setting up at a card show as a dealer for the first time. For example if the card show had a couple of small booths next to each other pre-setup with a display case on each that fit approx 20-30 cards, and there was a person with experience there to oversee and help if needed. They could also have allocated time windows per booth/person i.e 1 hour each (im sure 20-30 slabs wouldnt take too long to swap out for the next person to setup). It would be a good taster for people to see if they could do it. And I'm sure having more cards at card shows would attract more people to attend. Setting up as a dealer for the first time seems like a pretty big obstacle.
That seems like a cool idea! It honestly isn't hard to start, more exhausting through the whole day and you don't need two tables like I do. Seen some people go bare bones and just have their cards on table with prices so you can go about it your own way.
@@mattscardshop Committing to a whole day is a bit daunting, especially if you don't make sales. Being able to deal for an hour or two and then go and enjoy the show would be cool
@@BrentonPercy good point, you can miss out on seeing other stalls if you don't have another person with you to watch your cards haha
I didn’t realise you were their man I would of come and said hi 😅
