This is just the perfect showcase of George's vocals. I like the slower songs. More brutal, more understanding aswell because dude isn't trying to go a million miles an hour with that vocal method. You understand it. Even live. Festering, stripped, evisceration, scourge of iron. Brutal
It was fucking awesome meeting CC at the 70,000 tons of metal cruise last Jan (2012) and this was one of the songs I really wanted to hear them play live. When I asked why they didn't they said it was such a long time since they last played this and would have to relearn it basically. Damn. They almost have 400 songs. Still this is one of their best! HAIL CC! Corpsegrinder is a party animal!
I love this song. It has such a dark feel to it when its slow, with the lead guitar squeals, then all of a sudden it gets so fast, i have to run around in my room and mosh with my walls, cuz its a small room lol.
I really appreciate it when a group of this caliber, this expertise, lets us in as fans like this. Obituary has one wear I swear they play an entire album from their bedroom. This is just freaking cool. Love you guys. Thanks for posting this
I simply love how Cannibal Corpse can make something as simple-sounding as being buried alive be so much more, and yes this is about being buried alive.
Really amazing song, once you understand death metal it becomes so listenable, I could literally fall asleep to this, those screams are so unique and sound amazing.
Yep, exactl. I'm impressed you mentioned bands of nu metal, metalcore and deathcore in there. I like every kind of Metal, my fav bands include Cannibal Corpse, up to Slipknot, Slayer and even Limp Bizkit. I don't really like to see metalheads fighting with each other over sub-genrs, and calling this and that 'fake' metal. It all belongs in Metal family, and we all should be united. When i am asked what's my fav kind of music, i simply answer: Metal.
Ivan Lohan Any time bro. I just hate how some people think rock and metal are for whites only, when its an universal music. and dont worry, I'll keep it brutal!!! horns way up!!!!!!
This one has some really sweet harmonies between the bass and guitar, with the rhythm playing pretty much the exact same and lead doing stuff that oddly harmonises. I like that CC have both fast and slow songs to really show how good they are with musicianship.
yeah.i really love cannibal corpse (they are my favorite band) and although i'm 14 years old and i didn't exactly grow up with cc i tried to gather information and albums from online stores and now i have almost every album (live,ep,full..) they have released since 1990
This track will certainly wake up the dead!!!!! Missed you guys in Bangalore at the Cult Fest!!!! Hope to see you guys again, else just play this and i shall rise from my grave George!!!!! \m/
As someone who listens to Cannibal Corpse, Whitechapel, Kataklysm, Death but also DJ Tiesto, Hopsin and several Hardcore Techno and Drum & Bass acts and some good old blues 'n jazz I can only fully agree with you! =p
He's shown several times throughout the video.. Maybe you're wondering where Pat is? This video is from the DVD and in one of the videos, Pat is shown playing Frantic Disembowelment. Jack doesn't make an appearance in that video. Frantic Disembowelment is Pat and Paul's song and Festering in the Crypt is Jack's.
I think what they did is track both channels for their own song. Pat did all of Bent Backwards and Broken and his song Frantic Disembowelment and I'm guessing Jack did all of this song which might be why Pat isn't seen.
I sing a lot and play Piano sometimes too so yeah I guess that's partly why I focus in on the different aspects a lot, something we musicians tend to do!
I think the way they work is that whoever writes the song records all the rhythm guitar tracks in the studio. If you look at the DVD this is from (with "The Wretched Spawn"), Pat records all the rhythm guitars on "Frantic Disembowelment".
@Nidarisk you have to be more specific, there is a guitar player in this video (Jack Owen) and a bass player (Alex Webster), whcih one are you referring too?
I know, metal is like a genre where every instrument is in your face, its not like pop/vocaly lead, rap/vocaly/drum lead, blues/guitar lead/ ect. Metal is lead by all of the instruments and every musician is putting their all into it, whether its Slayer Metallica, Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold, Motley Crue, Job For a Cowboy, Asking Alexandria, Steel Panther, Trivium, Rob Zombie, Korn, Pantera, Iron Maiden- it doesn't matter which metal band you like or hate, they all put so much into their playing
I love their ballads.
Hadnt heard this ballad. Really sweet and angry!
hahahahahahahah lol
hahahahahah
kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk |m|
Isaac Barton а
I've always felt that understanding death metal is like learning another language. It takes time, but it's worth it.
This song helps my 9 year old relax. I love that kid.
💀💀💀
So he's now an adult, out murdering?
Saving this 1 for the first dance at my wedding
The tempo is just right
Call me crazy but I actually like the slower cannibal songs a little better than the fast ones
It's indeed a real nice song
Agreed. Corpsegrinder is waaaaay better on the slower songs.
Like God of Emptiness for example!
This song sounds like an average Autopsy song.
Janos Dual thats Morbid Angel son
I love corpsegrinder's screams!
I absolutely LOVE watching him scream!! gives me tingles ;3
It's very funny how Jack Owen looks so relaxed while playing real heavy stuff.
Excellent song, one of the best I've ever heard.
the beggining sounds like doom metal, awesome
This is just the perfect showcase of George's vocals. I like the slower songs. More brutal, more understanding aswell because dude isn't trying to go a million miles an hour with that vocal method. You understand it. Even live. Festering, stripped, evisceration, scourge of iron. Brutal
Raise the hair on the back of my neck.... this one haunts me, for damn sure! Don't think I've heard Fisher do any better than this. Wow. 'Nuff said
best metal vocalist.

Still do it?
Definitely having this played at my funeral.
I really appreciate it when a group of this caliber, this expertise, lets us in as fans like this. Obituary has one wear I swear they play an entire album from their bedroom. This is just freaking cool. Love you guys. Thanks for posting this
Lower into the ground
You will never hear another sound
In your coffin you are bound.Underground
Forever
This probably my favourite song off the album. This album is the best album of the '00 era so far.
Yeah, the tempo isn't too fast, that's exactly why I love this as well.
If the feeling is correct, the lyrics are also awesome!
Love the high growls he does, should do them more
Love George's Immolation shirt.
Nicolas Bartlet me too.
Immolation is the greatest Death Metal band of all time, and Close to a World Below is the darkest, most unholy album of all time.
Man this was intense! Love it!
Probably the greatest cannibal corpse song ever
God jack Owen on guitar
Pure ballad metal
Brilliance unmatchable
I simply love how Cannibal Corpse can make something as simple-sounding as being buried alive be so much more, and yes this is about being buried alive.
This song is so haunting... so chilling... it’s like listening to an 80’s scary movie if it was a song
the bold is so relaxed...is like he's playing a happy song
finally a radio friendly song thx guys
Dude, in the last screams of George screaming 'festering in the cript', i seriously got open mouth! Damn!
jack owen is so chill
Ya when he left CC they lost all groove!
Mike Hunt pat is a gun
Mike Hunt pat is a gun
Best CC song imo..... Love it
Really amazing song, once you understand death metal it becomes so listenable, I could literally fall asleep to this, those screams are so unique and sound amazing.
fucking love this, so amazing, can hear this like million times
and the guitar, DAMN just holly I love that, the screams too
every thing just WOW
I love Owen’s attitude here, laid back like he doesn’t care 😂 You can tell that he wanted out
Love the wretched Sppppaaaaaaaawwwwnnnnnnnnn
è da brividi e da assuefazione.....splendido pezzo.....da notare la Compostezza del chitarrista.....
George is insane!! Awesome song

Too good!!!
Take it and go
panasony23 Right on my brother!!
Keep it Brutal! \m/ '-_-' \m/
Jake Plume
ouch bro
Ivan Lohan
Any time bro. I just hate how some people think rock and metal are for whites only, when its an universal music. and dont worry, I'll keep it brutal!!! horns way up!!!!!!
Its so weird but I actually find CC quite relaxing because I tend to focus on the riffs rather than try to interpret the lyrics :)
Cannibal Corpse is more masculine than peeing standing up
I wish the bass was louder, a treble-ridden bass is awesome :)
cannibal corpse kick-ass song :X
This one has some really sweet harmonies between the bass and guitar, with the rhythm playing pretty much the exact same and lead doing stuff that oddly harmonises. I like that CC have both fast and slow songs to really show how good they are with musicianship.
The perfect song to fall asleep to
I like how completely chill the guitarist looks throughout the video.
best vocalist ive heard so far
yeah.i really love cannibal corpse (they are my favorite band) and although i'm 14 years old and i didn't exactly grow up with cc i tried to gather information and albums from online stores and now i have almost every album (live,ep,full..) they have released since 1990
Yo do you still like them??... 11 years later...
@@R3DM1LK not as much but yeah I do
This one is damn perfect! Masterpiece!
2:53 That stressed face...
George Corpsegrinder After doing the solo 500 times xD
George Corpsegrinder he quit the band for a reason
This track will certainly wake up the dead!!!!! Missed you guys in Bangalore at the Cult Fest!!!! Hope to see you guys again, else just play this and i shall rise from my grave George!!!!! \m/
Wow, that's very cool man :D I'm not much into Dj,. electronic music stuff, but it's cool to see people with that wide music variety. Stay sick dude!
2024 and this song is still obe of the best
CANNIBAL GODS
Jack looks so damn cool!
Jack has gotten an Beautifull guitar.
o yeah I almost forget. Fucking nice song.
I prefer the king V that Pat used but yes, these are good guitars, man
Alex is like: Way too easy!! 😂
Gotta love Jack's Jimi shirt.
As someone who listens to Cannibal Corpse, Whitechapel, Kataklysm, Death but also DJ Tiesto, Hopsin and several Hardcore Techno and Drum & Bass acts and some good old blues 'n jazz I can only fully agree with you! =p
One of greatest CC songs!!!
ese sonido , uff que perfeccion!

this and monolith best cannibal songs
The lack of Paul in this video upsets me.
Also, Pat. Where's he at?
I know right?!
He is on the drums wtf...
Umm... Paul is the drummer dude.
I think what they did is track both channels for their own song. Pat did all of Bent Backwards and Broken and his song Frantic Disembowelment and I'm guessing Jack did all of this song which might be why Pat isn't seen.
So heavy and bad ass
logged in just to like. I will NEVER not like a Cannibal Corpse song when I have the opportunity.
One of their more simpler songs to play xD Love this one
very perfect canibal corpse sound.
nice recording
All time fav cannibal corpse song!
There's no getting over the awesomeness of this song. Cannibal does fast music very well, but they don't always need to; this is heavier than fuck.
i cant stress enough how much i love this fucking video
Masterpiece
Jack owen always creates great riffs and grooves.
man, I fucking Love metal.
\m/
I use to have this song on my mp3 player, it was my song to the chick who stole my fiance.
Wow...another one going in my favs!
N/A I will be cremated. Take that Cannibal Corpse xD
I sing a lot and play Piano sometimes too so yeah I guess that's partly why I focus in on the different aspects a lot, something we musicians tend to do!
Story of my life man :) Bass is my instrument of choice and I always focus on rhythms and riffs rather than focusing on the voice.
dope video! BRUTAL!
its the dvd that comes with the wretched spawn cd, you should check it out, its amazing :)
This shows us what a musician is made!
So Romantic 😊
Beautiful!!
I think the way they work is that whoever writes the song records all the rhythm guitar tracks in the studio. If you look at the DVD this is from (with "The Wretched Spawn"), Pat records all the rhythm guitars on "Frantic Disembowelment".
one of teh best songs of them, morbid angel influence :p
Fu**ing vertigo doesn't leave me to headbang!!
o cara é muito foda!
Шедевр!!!!
I love their tracks with low tempo add ons like for example this, from skin to liquid and gallery of suicide.
i listen to this every night before i go to bed \m/
the best band out there
@Nidarisk
you have to be more specific, there is a guitar player in this video (Jack Owen) and a bass player (Alex Webster), whcih one are you referring too?
Lest we forget Kerry King, another Larry David of metal.
I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!
i used to like rap, then i heard rock, then i heard metal, and then came along Cannibal Corpse. i fucking love CC, just thought i'd let you know
WHAT??!?! SAYS WHO?!?!? IMPOSSIBLE!!!
THAT CANT BE DEICIDES LAST ALBUM!!
you made me cry :'(
I know, metal is like a genre where every instrument is in your face, its not like pop/vocaly lead, rap/vocaly/drum lead, blues/guitar lead/ ect. I got to do a tour with Jack. Death Metal All Stars Japan. I didn't talk to him much because I'm a bit shy, but he was very friendly.
This is my favourite song they done
