- Hello there!
SURPRISE, i am back in Ohio!
The last time I was here we had limited time to shop, so today, we spent the day shopping at Ohio's LARGEST Antique Mall.
Heart Of Ohio:
This place is SO massive it can be a little overwhelming!
There are so many high-end antique and vintage items, it is a feast for the eyes!
I do hope you enjoy today's shop with me!

I just love you Michael. I am homebound after surviving ovarian cancer, breast cancer, and a stroke. You might not realize how important you are to many of your followers. I love your videos and your voice totally makes me feel calm. I loved that you were giving some viewing time to the littles. I know they aren't big money makers, but I can't get enough of them. I loved the bear with the empty beans jar. Sometimes it's the kitchy cute little pieces that attract a buyer to your business and who knows maybe they wiil fall in love with a $1,000.00 vase and buy it from you.
Sending you positive and healing energy!
I appreciate that you are showing some unique true antiques even though it isn’t affordable for resale! You are becoming more knowledgeable!
Seeing that carnival stand, my husband was always on the lookout for old gas pumps, he found one, but the guy we know wanted more to restore it than the gas pump, so he said no. I told him he should have got it, but he said I am not paying that much! My husband restored old John Deere tractors for a hobby and loved doing it!
The pink and blue Paperweight lamp is made by St.Clair glass. Made in Elwood, Indiana. I have 7 lamps and a curio full of St.Clair paperweights and other various glass they made. Misty has a lamp in her shop with a stained glass shade. I have one identical to hers that was my grandparents. That multicolored one with the glass shade was a good price. Have sold various lamps and other pieces. Im an antique dealer from time to time. When Im in the mood. Lol Love your videos!
Michael, please take a chance on a couple of higher priced items - there is definitely a very good chance of making money on them!
That mixed media collage art piece was amazing! Seeing so much of the antique high-end is like being in a museum.
I dunno, I guess it's nice seeing beautiful, unusual things but my idea of shopping isn't feeling like you're in a museum or only sightseeing. I much prefer when you're in a place with great deals, stocking up & getting excited. Now THAT'S fun shopping!
loved the Fisher Price Circus. , Creepy taxidermy rabbit/bird. The Carnival glass was soo pretty. The one booth with all the bronze and porcelain was amazing.
You sure know your antiques! What an impressive place. But Very Pricey! I did see a lot of items I’ve never seen before! Your truly great at explaining and talking about everything! Love your videos!
Thanks for taking us along. If I may ~ having spent weekends for the past 25 years antiquing, I have seen many changes as collecting has evolved. I have seen many huge antique malls close.
Seeing your experience here with the prices confirms what I've been seeing especially over the last 5 years. And that is that dealers are pricing themselves out of viability! I mean, LOOK at the stuff crammed on every shelf! Do any of us NEED ANY OF IT? NO. WE don't.
That factor alone should engender dealers to collectively lower their prices.
They need to get it through their heads, most people stepping foot into antique co-ops/shops/malls know a fair bit about what is housed inside!
Just as you have done in scoping it all and telling your viewers knowledgeable info, they need to realize we are not stupid people who fell off the back of the turnip truck.
Cut customers a break, loosen up on those prices and let those items - that nobody needs - flow back out into the world.
I know exactly what most things are worth. Just as do you. I know what I will pay.
I know much of the time dealers are getting their items for pennies, at yard sales, estate sales & auction. I have done it. I have had space in antique co-ops. But my philosophy was different. My aim was to delight someone with an affordable treat to take home, NOT to become a millionaire. Who are these people kidding?
I did not kid myself. I knew all this second hand stuff was nothing anyone really needed in order to live or survive. We were shopping for fun, for a treat, maybe for a present for friend or family. And sometimes priced items 20-25% off the usual upper range price point would be the impetus I needed to open my wallet.
A while ago, I had a very successful booth that had tasteful items, priced fair. And I held sale days, too, to keep things moving. I always had new stuff on my walls, tables & shelves. AND, my booth resembled someone's home, with tasteful vignettes all around for the eye to alight.
I rarely spend Sat & Sun in antique co-ops anymore.
I got tired of the prices. It is also boring to go into a place, and see the same things on the shelf from one year to the next.
Dealers need to recognize the economy, drop prices & let their perceived treasures go.
Let them go on to become someone else's treasure, even it it means another dealer buys the bargain for resale. The market is stagnant. People aren't buying as they used to. A large factor is due to the prices highlighted in this great video.
geez!
obviously a major pet peeve of mine. 🤣
24:24 not the jackalope pheasant 🤣🤣🤣
Wow! Feel like I went to a glass museum! Thank you for sharing all your knowledge! Fair prices and the companies! Love your voice and jokes! Thank you!
Wow I can't believe all the rare antiques they have 😍
Wow! Loved that you showed us all the high dollar glass! Lovely to see, even if it’s above our budget!!!
I'm with you Michael, I absolutely loved that circus piece!!!
That McCoy vase with the applied flower….I found the planter like that at Goodwill for $2.99 recently! Of course I bought it!
The brass money frog (which has 3 legs, by the way) is used in Feng shui to bring prosperity. I love the white tiger planter at 19:46, made by Cameron Clay Products of West Virginia (where I live). I have 2 black ones just like it in my "Big Cat" collection. That high-end Art Nouveau section was a delicious treat for the eye!💙
Soooooo many beauties. But you couldn’t pay me to touch that snake vase 😂.
I am so glad you got the Fisher Price Circus!!!!
I’m honestly not surprised that you traveled back to Ohio. I am surprised you went back so soon after returning to PA.
The boy doll is Tubby little LuLu,s friend such fun to see
I loved the moon decanter, but those prices, WOW. Have a lovely weekend Michael
I loved seeing all of the beautiful glass, OMG, wish I was there!
Oh my gosh Michael. I loved the Uncle Wiggley games and the baby in the stroller in the same booth. So sad you passed on them.
Just so overwhelming. Such interesting items
Thanks for taking me along love the beautiful glass and the one hutch you showed us is gorgeous
I loved the circus! I’m sure someone will snatch it right up❤️
Wow. Thanks for going back. You got the Fischer price circus. So cool.
Oh my it’s Tubby! From Little Lulu.❤️
So many beautiful things-I'm so glad that you went back. Loved the Czechoslovakian Bohemian green glass piece. That vendor's cases were exquisite! That pink and black angel fish was one pissed off looking fish. Maybe that's why you didn't buy it!
The trinket box with the fur boa was made in the 80's. I have both the pink and blue that I purchased new. Lol.
I haven't been here since I was a teen (and my Dad was alive) WOW what a flashback. Very fun. It isn't too bad for me either here in MI.
The pink and blue lamp was St. Clair from Elwood, Indiana. My mom worked for them and we have 4 of the lamps but ours are in the greens, yellows and ambers. Your colors!
A wonderful video and showcase of the beautiful things. You are the only "youtuber" I put on full screen, you move just the right pace, and pause at just the right spot, through each booth. Kudos to you. I liked everything :) but had to quickly stop and go back @ 31:24 'cos who knew I needed an Art Deco pewter vase, lol. Never seen the like. The black glass, the table of blue...Thank you for showing us around.
Gorgeous antique pieces, Love the moon decanter, WOW!
So many nice items at this Antique mall 😊👍
The teeth!!! 😂😂 I'm commenting early in the video, but prices seem a bit high. I would love to know what prompted the recent increase in swung vase prices.
Love your humor, really enjoyed looking around with you..thanks
Thank you so much for taking the time on the high end items! Much like Miller's price guide nice to look at most you'll never see. Really enjoyed this video. The price on the sardine box was really good. Like you say price is determined by location too.
Some stunning items there. A joy to tag along !
The dealers knew what they had. Unlike my local antiques centre ! Have picked up quite a few bargains - the latest being a MCM Adri ceramic topped coffee table for an absolute song ! When I was dealing there wasn't one item that went on sale without being thoroughly researched & competitively priced. No excuse for laziness !
Where did you acquire all your knowledge? I’m impressed! Is it experience or some sort of classes/degrees?
For higher quality unique items vendors pay more $$$ and need to charge more to make some profit, not sell for little profit for resellers to then flip for big profit. Bulk lot purchases may allow lower selling prices but that tends to be lower quality more common items. Good to see this is understood and we can all just enjoy the eye candy feast 🥰
Love watching you you have such a calming voice 💕 😌 ✨️
The flowered orange and yellow canister looked exactly like a teapot I received as a wedding gift in 1972!
Thank you for all the wonderful information!! Your voice is so soothing!
Thank you for leaving the dental appliance behind. Haha
I am surprised you were able to find pieces for resale. The swung vases were beautiful, especially the blue.
I just heard you love Pinocchio. He is my favorite too. Love your video. The Pinocchio of course was my favorite item today.
I see many beautiful things happening here!!!😊❤
The passion you have for the pieces you can’t get because of price makes me sad, but then I smile when you say, “at least we got to see it!” You’re the real deal, Michael!
Dean here. Live in Dayton. :) *Love* your channel. So glad you're revisiting this area.
Another great, informative video. I love your descriptions and explanations. My favorite purchase was the Fisher-Price Circus set.
Glad you bought the black vase
You passed on the "Jackalope"?!? Haven't seen one in years! Yes, it's a "thing"! Taxidermists Created those monstrosities on purpose!!!😂
WOWZA what a feast for the eyes great video
Wow, just Wow ‼️
The apple cookie jar was nice. Loved it. I have one of those.
Beautiful to see all these pieces!!
I'm a new subscriber, and I adore your videos!! You teach us so much, while entertaining us and making us laugh. Please keep making these!
I loved the glass paper weight lamps. The long, fringed lamp shade was beautiful!
It was a St.Clair. I have 7 lamps and a curio full of St.Clair glass. Its from Elwood, Indiana. My hometown.
Love your videos and the commentary. I’ve been to Springfield antiques and it’s absolutely mesmerizing and pricey.
Loved loved this type of video. So much information!
I love these videos so much. They're fun, educational, and just so chill!
I thought the rabbit, deer, pheasant taxidermy was funny 🤣.
I adore you! Your humor, love for the hunt and pretty sunny things you show us!!! Keep it up!!
Wondering how much that nesting Fire King Tulips mixing bowls set was asking, the berry set next to that alligator was nice, too, and that Mary Gregory vase was nice
Omg...the famous "jackalope," but whats it called with the feathers coming out the back end??....lol
Great video!
Those braced teeth were hilarious!
USA is a paradise for collectors
Loved all those toys toghether
OMG that fireplace!
That circus is amasing!
Gorgeous green vase!
Gorgeous green vase in bronze stand
Gorgeous pieces in those cases
I spotted some amasing lamps
Thank you for taking us along X
I would have like to see more of the kids sewing machine. Great video!!!
I'm glad I found you. We have the same tastes
I have the square pickle box!😁😁
A lot of beautiful things. But real pricey.
I loved that dwarf planter. It looked so touchable. I had no idea Tole Ware included so many mediums, not just metal trays! It was fun reading about the art form.
Hi Michael! Another great video!👍🏼
Thanks for another great video. I appreciate you showing all the beautiful china pieces. I love and collect it so it was enjoyable to see.
Love the Austrian handprint ed items, all the beautiful glass! Thank you for taking us ! Have a wonderful weekend!
Oh my! I have the blue LE Smith swung vase at 22:40 in amethyst. $225 USD?! I think I paid $25 CAD for it 18 months ago. I had no idea what is was at the time. I just liked the colour. 🤷♀️
That lamp is incredible!
So im a bit curious that as im watching all my UA-cam peeps, when I just let the videos just play one after another and yours pops up automatically which is great! But I don't get any mention on my phone, im subscribed to your channel. But I don't get any mention on my phone hhhmmmm. I will investigate further as I just LOVE watching all your videos, I like your style and the way to work your capturing you filming through the shops. I just want to say your one of my faves. Just wanted to infor of my issues with some of my yt peeps. Have a great day Tod! ❤️
Jackalop!! 🐰
I love Lilly pad flower frog,,aqua glass birds, and penny babies! Great place.
I thoroughly enjoy your videos! You show so many beautiful things I had no idea existed! ❤❤
the blue morpho butterfly mounted alone can go for $30 plus! Great find .. kinda jealous
Great video again!
If that figural flower frog woman had not been repaired, it would have been worth quite a bit. The German figural flower frogs go for crazy money.
I loved the paper weight lamp !! So many beautiful treasures 😊
That was a St.Clair lamp made in Elwood Indiana. My hometown. I have seven lamps and a curio full of St.Clair glass.
The next time you go through Columbus, take a look at Heritage Square Antique Mall on Brice Rd., just off I-70. The prices are probably more in your range. The lighting is kind of cruddy, though.
Would have thought that Fostoria vase was worth more too!!🥰
Love the Franz Bergman bronze peacock. I come across a lot of his small bronze figures being in Europe, some are a little risqué and of course they are the more pricey ones 😂.
Love the mccoy
Loved all the blue too
I didn’t know you were coming back to Ohio. It would be great fun to join you on a shopping excursion. Let me know if you come back again. 🎃🎃🎃
I think you were in the museum section of the mall today.
I think the moon shaped decanter is actually a Victorian baby bottle. It is the correct shape with the opening on both ends and the one opening is correct too. Although I have not seen one that looks exact to that, I have seen several very close. Watch for those Skookum dolls at 22:06 as they can sell for quite high.
always fun..thank you!!
Welcome back! 🤗
Have you seen the newest Pinocchio movie? Tom Hanks plays Geppto. I haven’t seen it yet but want to.
Quick question. Why do most dealers pass by or totally ignore Hull pottery? I think it is lovely. Is it because there is no market for it? Just asking. Love you and am keeping it dusty if nothing else.
Is Bristol glass a type or company? How can you tell it's Bristol glass? I can usually tell when they are blue, I didn't know they came in different colors. I swear you guys are all a wealth of knowledge, I can't fathom how you all know so much about everything! 🤪
Murano Clam bullicante bowl was pretty but expensive...
The trolls were cute.
❤❤❤
