I honestly really like how gruesome the deaths are in Indiana, shows what happens when you mess with the supernatural, a very gruesome and painful death before being erased from existence.

Interesting to think of three things, Harrison ford was suffering food poisoning during the iconic gun beats sword fight,the German mechanic is in all 3 movies, and Spielberg made a cameo in the temple of doom as one of the missionaries in the background with George Lucus

The scene with the sword wielding guy was actually supposed to be a long fighting sequence through several spots. Harrison Ford got dysentery so he was very sick at this scene.. He asked Spielberg if they could cut the whole thing short by just shooting the guy. Spielberg gave his blessing and that is how it is.
