EP-133 K.O.II is a 64 MB sampler and composer. just like its pocket-sized predecessor PO-33 K.O!, this sampler is a mighty contender on the stage, in the studio and in the ring. sample directly from your favorite source using the built in mic or 3.5 mm input jack,
sync and sequence your entire setup using sync and midi in/out. power it all with just 4x AAA batteries. make your next hit with punch-in effects 2.0™ then smash your beat with the built in distortion and FX.

Your channel is probably my best find of 2023.
Thanks for talking about this. Your way of covering all ends of the EP-133 is outstanding.
Thanks. That’s quality content.
Returned the bag and pouch. I still haven't gotten my refund. Fader fully bent to the right and battery compartment wouldn't fit aaa. I've sent in the unit for a replacement along with the pouch and bag with zero reply still. Fuck TE
I seriously don't know why people keep giving this company money. They've proved over and over and over again that their "affordable" line of products are all made as cheaply as possible using absolutely piss poor componentry.
@@deadredeyes this is my first time buying directly from them. Only had po33 before which was fine. If I knew the customer service would be this fucking horrible and that QC was non existent I'd have skipped. I got plenty of samplers.
I am the Sweden to NZ guy. They have shipped me the replacement unit today so I am at day 50 since ordering with no working unit 😛Lets see if Round 2 works out or if I get K.O'd again XD
I just got mine a few days ago and it works fine for me.
You won the game of roulette
po2 came broken, over a month ago, got an rma after weeks of waiting, now they’ve had it 3 weeks and no response. total ghost.
So…never buy a TE product at launch. Got it.
They only put care into the manufacture of their luxury products. The op-z had awful quality control too, if you’re dropping under 1k they don’t care about you as a customer.
Ha, you missed mine lol, I had 4 different issues. Video posted on my channel. Really sad to see so many problems.
I just watched your video, and you won the lotto for getting a broken K.O.II 🤣
Mine is the same. The fader is broken and my original plan was that after watching your video I would learn how to fix it.
However, after updating the 1.1.1 firmware, KO2 crashed and failed to boot.
I tried everything in the manual related to recovery with no success.
They also didn't give me a solution for recovery...
I contacted TE official after-sales service and asked me to return the product and fill out an authorization form.
But now they have disappeared without a trace...it has been half a month...no reply...
just sent my ko back, hoping to get a refund and focus on getting more familiar with my polyend tracker
Got hella lucky, mine works flawlessly 😊
Those guys just take the piss clever yes it's in the brand name bunch of kids TEENAGE .
🙈🙈🙈
Ruined Xmas 4 my son
Good
Your mother was good. Last night...
@@ryan1845 you're Dad sucked the chunks off when I was done with him.
it has to be the premium design team this the same team that took a chinese record player slapped there name on it and called it great design lol can't wait for the bad gear EP, just make a opz that doesn't bend like a banana and double trigger buttons .
Teenage Engineering is actually owned by a reclusive eccentric genius called Willy Wonky. If you are lucky enough to find a functional EP133, you may inherit his factory.
🤣 ....Does this Willy have a comb-over tho?
Lololol. Damn. No Golden Ticket here....
i found this easier to believe than i should have
The op-z had the same quality control issues. Felt like half of the units had re-triggering keys.
They only have decent quality control on products that are like $2k
feeling like i won a lottery at this point. Mine "seems" to be working properly. I ordered directly from TE on day one but it took weeks to ship -- so maybe they did a quick quality check/update(?). Also did the latest firmware update that apparently came out in the middle December. Fingers crossed it keeps working as it seems issues are happening after a few days of use -- i'm on day 3 of use 🤞
I cannot get my midi in to get a signal. Anyone else? I've tried multiple cords and keyboards. Customer Support is not helpful at all as I lost my email with my order number. They probably wouldn't be much help anyways.

@@DECIMA1 Thank you, I watched this a few weeks ago. It's not the issue I am having though. I am trying to play the sounds on the KO II with the keys from my Aturia Keystep keyboard controller. Midi in port on the KO and midi out on the keystep. I did exactly what Cuckoo said and showed in his video. I even have the same keyboard but it's not responding. People reported the same issue and then got it solved with the last update but that didn't work for me. I'm bummed out about it now.
Have you seen my video about conntecting the keystep and tried that? Do you have the right type of midi adapter? ua-cam.com/video/omMbi9zzwTU/v-deo.html
A broken fader... send it back. If you're going to take it apart, you better make that money back by making a million view video.
Thanks for the fader stl! Just subbed up ;)
Thanks for the sub!!!
Um. Wow. Even if TE gets their act together, I'm not sure I'd still want one.
Side question: will we see Roberto cook again?
😉
Ive got one with one of the buttons not going fully back upwards after pressing it. Is this something that restores itselfafter the button being pressed multiple times? Or should I return it?
Is there have been a single public TE communication so far ?
I’m sure it would work if they charged $1000 for it, though.
Wow... I've thought that it will be only faders... How weird is this... From the company which sells pretty expensive OP-1 and etc. "toys".
I had Fadergate and sent it back. Got the replacement a few days ago. Still sitting in the box. First time in my life I have apprehension about opening a piece of gear. If this one is a dud ,for any reason, I'll just get a refund this time and wait for the MKII SMH. Damn shame.
Schrödinger's fader- OPEN IT
@@DECIMA1 I did! Al is well. No fader, speaker, or button issues. No crackling tested yet. Just happy to get this far without issues. 😅😅Bought a 3rd party fader knob that slid on perfectly. Was not willing to trust the TE fader button. No wiping or strange restarts. I updated to 1.12 before I did anything. Hopefully, no further unpleasant surprises. Midi connections next for testing.
this is a really weird QC issue, like.... wtf are they doing in sweden? im from south america btw and my unit arrived without any issue (at least I haven`t found any so far)
to not just shit on TE, my KO-II (ordered from TE directly day after launch) came with "Keys" button instead of "Sound", otherwise seems to work "fine" (the midi glitches aside) - they responded on my request within a day, and after few weeks today they sent me replacement button. Not to downplay the issues, but I'd say they try.... and also I'm pretty sure this is their last sub $1k product (or one assembled in Spain) :)
TE should concentrate on design and delegate the manufacturing to experts.
Maybe thats the problem? I guess they manufacture in Asia and they dont have a proper pipeline setup for QA.
@@paulb4334 place of manufacturing doesn't matter if QA sucks shit
@@Agoraphobia2day333 production does not happen in a vacuum. Having good QA is already a giant task without taking care of production yourself. From the look of it they should seek out a company to partner that can handle the whole manufacturing process. Shipping,QA, certification etc.
Damn I’m so lucky I got mine from guitar center and I’ve had it crash once and wiped itself but it never happened again after the update when I went to reload the samples from yur save
I bought a Chase Bliss pedal with a broken switch. I bought a Behringer Pro-800 that played wrong notes. In both cases I sent them back and got replacements. Inconvenient but otherwise not my problem. My KO II is working great, but if it goes south, it's going back. Simple. If it doesn't hold up over time, that is a different issue. This isn't miltary grade electronics, expect shit to happen.
Its about how widespread the quality issues are, not about your personal experience.
There's A TON of people having issues with their KO II and it's all due to: cheap components, terrible assembly, piss poor boxing, lack of respect for customers, coupled with a complete lack of customer service. People have even sent their units back and have heard nothing from the company. This isn't "expect shit to happen" this is "expect to get a 100% working item that I paid for." And as far as "this isn't miltary grade electronics" goes ... that is the most boomer shit I've heard in years. Even a plebe knows that "miltary grade electronics" is bottom of the barrel bullshit, i.e. cheap components, shit labor, shit product.
@@deadredeyes It's a question of percentage. I have 7 Chase Bliss pedals and had a problem with one; that would make for a 14% defect ratio, which is not acceptable. But this isn't how one goes about calculating a defective rate. A larger sample size is needed. Without knowledge of how many defective units they sold per the total sold, we can't make that determination. So any amount of guess work is just conjecture.
On your immaturity: Only a childish asshat would jump headlong into calling names instead of thinking rationally and opening up a sensible debate. There may indeed be a QC issue; I'm open to that debate, but anecdotal information is just that; use the facts. Get hold of your emotions or go argue with your mom, little boy. But leave me the f#ck alone. I have better things to do than argue with immature gutter snipes.
@@andrzejkucharzyk9970 I'd agree with that, but likewise unless you know exactly how many they've sold, you can't make a determination in terms of a ratio. What we do know is that they will replace the defective merchandise and that is always central to the question of backing up their QC. And what you're not considering is that fundamentally selling defective product harms the company both in terms of their brand and in dollar; they have to take back the defective products, pay for shipping, etc.
Not true.@@deadredeyes
