i bought my geo 4 right before they announced and released the lv2, i was kinda annoyed cuz i would’ve gotten the lv2, but after shooting my homies lv2 and hearing of these problems… i’m glad i got the geo
I’ve always been hesitant to jump on a newly released marker. I’ve played for 20 plus years and I remember right back to when impulses first came out. The lower serial number ones had more issues than the later ones, they eventually became flawless but not at first. It seems they release guns then work out the bugs lol.
My lv2 destroys paint. It's like I got a soup making machine. Cleaned it over boring it like a monster on the barrel, and she still blowing them apart, swap barrel over and ran my 1.6 didn't break a single ball, through a back of the lv2 every 3rd to 4th ball broke.
Main issue I found is the lpr pressure are set too low from factory. The manual says to do 1/2 turn from fully in, but that gets you around 75psi lpr pressure. I raised mine to 85psi which is around 1 1/4 turns from fully in. Plus reduced the dwell to 8.5ms and solve the issue plus made it feel a quick/reactive cycle. If it keeps up doing it even thou you set the lpr to 85psi and dwell to 8.5ms, then raise toward the + side the back sfr.
@@WillBallForSoup i think they just needed to do more testings with the relation between the main operating pressure vs the lpr pressure. What i can see is this marker operates at 115psi which is a breaking record for a poppet marker. Now with such a low operating pressure(hpr) the lpr suffers because it needs to be refilled fast and low pressure air typically takes more “time” to refill an area compared to high pressure. So I recommend to raise the lpr more pressure so it has plenty stored air to move the bolt back.
I was thinking the same thing about LPR. Most people prefer to not have to do any fine tuning. Same people would have hated an autococker. Had to tune LPR all the time back in the day for DM9 after maintenance. LV2 should still work out of the box though so no excuses from PE quality control
@@jo292454 also I strongly suggest to buy an lpr pressure tester, is not an expensive tool and give you the security of knowing at what exact pressure the lpr is running. I think any modern gun with lpr reg should have one included in the package.
this seems like the most logical explanation. it's tough to get the hose to line up when putting the frame back onto the body, just gotta keep trying and dont force anything.
What's strange is I did not drop the frame or even take off the eye covers. This came brand new off the retail shelf. If this is what's going on it came that way from assembly. I'm definitely hesitant to drop the frame on something I don't own. Still, we're under warranty and sending her back is the safest bet for everyone involved.
Mine came from the factory that way. I sent mine back and lost a week that way. All they did is realign it and send it back. I fixed a guys at the field two weeks later with the same issue. Exact same issue. You can probably see it through the eye cover. My line still has the pinch mark in it. Works fine. But now I'm a little jaded on my 1600$ gun.
Hey WBFS i have a quick question. Do you think it's possible to start you own paintball team when paintball isn't big in the area? I've been so into paintball for the past year and I really haven't been able to do much about it since there is no tournaments here and not a lot of people who play regularly . I saw your how to start a paintball team video and it showed me that it is possible to start from scratch and go big. However, I was wondering if you think it would be possible to start my own team especially in an area where paintball isn't huge and the nearest tournaments being 4-7 hours away.
Really depends on a number of variables bro. Do you have solid industry connections to keep prices down? Are there big programs who absorb a majority of the talent? Have you done this before and have had success? It's much tougher in this era vs the era when I came up but it's not impossible.
I have also received similar reports of this widespread issue, but no real fixes. LPR, board, battery, sfr, tank, ram, bolt all look good. Time to send her 🔙
Probably a lemon man. Traded in one of my TM40s for a LV2 and it shoots flawlessly (was my first PE gun, not trying to be a fanboy lol). Good luck tho, hopefully they get it fixed and sent back quick
