I think they are victims here because they are way too nice. Anger and politeness, everything has a limit. If you get too angry, they brand you as hotheaded fool or anger management case. If you are too polite, people will see it as a weakness and bully you. There can be people who will deny, but this is what I learnt from the world and I did rather be called hotheaded than getting bullied for being too polite.

I was trying so hard to understand her interest in petting leeches, but I still do not get it. I would not pet a dog if I knew my family would not like it. The house belongs to a family and we are not the only one living there. She needs to learn how to consider and care for her family more. And I would never give away my blood to a leech. Who would know if it's clean or would not cause infection. I rather donate my blood for the good of other human being than leeches. I could not imagine having them on the table while eating my meal. Poor little Jaehyo was terrified when they mentioned making it suck him. Also a little analogy. In our family my siblings and I, we all want to raise a pet, preferably a puppy or a cat but we really just want a pet. I am an adult (although they aren't) and so technically we could bring one into our house if we wanted. But because we live in a family, its something that has to be discussed with them and they refused for many reasons. My dad works night shifts and has to sleep during the day. Imagine if we had a puppy that's barking away while he's trying to sleep, just because it's our interest and our parents "should be understanding of us". She's doing just that. I was trying to look at things from her perspective but once they relayed everything the physician told them I made a firm stance against her. Not only is she making her family uncomfortable but also putting them in harms way for her "babies".
I bet she needs medical treatment right away. Gosh I have high respect for her family to pull through with her such a long time. If she happened to be from my family, next day I would simply left a lion, tiger and cheetah in their room - saying I love them you should also start loving them. I was trying so hard to understand her interest in petting leeches, but I still do not get it. I would not pet a dog if I knew my family would not like it. The house belongs to a family and we are not the only one living there. She needs to learn how to consider and care for her family more. And I would never give away my blood to a leech. Also a little analogy. In our family my siblings and I, we all want to raise a pet, preferably a puppy or a cat but we really just want a pet. I am an adult (although they aren't) and so technically we could bring one into our house if we wanted. But because we live in a family, its something that has to be discussed with them and they refused for many reasons. My dad works night shifts and has to sleep during the day. Imagine if we had a puppy that's barking away while he's trying to sleep, just because it's our interest and our parents "should be understanding of us". She's doing just that. I was trying to look at things from her perspective but once they relayed everything the physician told them I made a firm stance against her. Not only is she making her family uncomfortable but also putting them in harms way for her "babies".
I bet she needs medical treatment right away. Gosh I have high respect for her family to pull through with her such a long time.
If she happened to be from my family, next day I would simply left a lion, tiger and cheetah in their room - saying I love them you should also start loving them.

She only cares for her own logics but disregard other common facts while comparing leeches to other type of pets. There are reason that other animals are the preferred choice of pet, and the fact that other people are disgusted by the leeches are perfectly normal and logical and valid, just as much as her right to love leeches.
