Fishing in Coral Island is different. It goes off 3 different factors.
1) Location - Where you fish
2) Time - When you fish
3) Zone - how far you cast, or the numbers you charge into your rod (1,2,3,4)
Unlike Stardew Valley, the farther you cast does NOT effect your quality, but does effect what you catch. Since you were fishing at the same place, within the proper time frame, in zone 4, you kept getting barracuda. If you'd have cast in zones 3,2, or 1, you might have gotten different fish.
The whole distance thing must have changed i nthe update? because i played like 2 months ago and no matter whether you casted 1 or 3 you caught the same fish. however the areas and time and sometimes season too
From the brief scroll you did I saw that the game will detect when controllers are connected!! This is so awesome. I have a disability that makes keyboard and mouse use difficult, so controllers are usually easier. I'm excited to get back into the game with this feature
You've missed your cut scene with Ling, you needed to meet up with her the day you got the letter. You should be able to find her in the lab now. If you look her up in the friendship tab, you can hit 'find' and it will show you where she currently is.
Raj's pronouns were changed to 'they/them' in the update.
Right now the flyers are just trash. They will be used in crafting in an upcoming update.
You're only casting out to level 4, use the other levels for other fish. It's the same idea as some of the Harvest Moon games.
You will be able to make Whole Coconut Drinks from any season's coconuts once you have your kitchen.
Clearing the ocean floor is satisfying. It truely is.
im pretty sure the number that you throw the fishing pole changes what you get so if you keep doing it on number 4 it will keep getting the same thing.

Go to the library donate the book. You need to put it in the book shell to make a collection in the library.
This video convinced me to finally start playing Coral Island and I love it so much!! (Also Raj's pronouns are they/them as far as I know)

Controller support is amazing. The other changes are suggestions from the community and players, which means they are mostly "cheat" types of changes, like being able to craft from anywhere, and finding anyone on the map at any time etc.
I get the vibe of Lilo and Stitch with the way the art is drawn..
Always love your vids, and you catch games I eye up, and am like hmm. I'll definitely give it a go, but should I wait a bit longer, or just grab it now? Thoughts?
usually with early access games are cheaper since it's still in development. when the full game releases they increase the price. i suggest buy it now if you don't mind a few bugs in the game!
@@signofthecrimes1534 Mmm just in Steam I have around 600 games. It has not been my experience where prices go up. Well, with any noticeable amount. If at all it is a 10% savings, which isn't enough of a savings it will swap me, especially since sales occur regularly and tend to be more then that initial savings.
@@clairruckman7674 understandable! from my experience I haven't gotten any bugs yet, but it crashed a few times. it's a really fun game though :)
@@signofthecrimes1534 Truly, TY though. You ended up giving me the info I desired. Apparently, on Microsoft Xbox you can try it out. I normally don't keep that on my PC and more steam shopper, but well fate is on my side apparently. I used to be pro give games in early access a go, but well burnt just enough :*( But, TY Im going to try basically the demo, but if it didn't exist I'd of opted to just buy given you and sharky stamp of approval. :D
Its totally worth the price it is now.
XD I know lots of people have said this, but the fishing numbers are zones. And i think that they aren't quite randomized right yet. 🤔 it's still a slosh buggy. I just played again for the first time since the update but I started a new file instead of continuing the old one. XD is fun to listen to you as I fiddle on my new farm
Thanks for the update, @SharkyGames! I've been interested in buying and playing this game. I will likely have to wait until WoW Dragonflight comes into a lull so that I have the time to give that this game deserves.

The j in Joko is pronounced like you say joy. I think it's supposed to be a reference to Indonesia's current president Jokowi, as many of the aspects in this game is based on Indonesian culture.

You can place an anchor any where to save your place underwater. And fishing is one of my favorite things in farming games. This was a bit disappointing.
somehow i still can't fix my keybinding.. i want my E key to open inventory but it's not working for me.

Im waiting on kids to be put in the game and that they grow up thats when ill buy the game
Please HELP. I cant catch bugs, they literally stay still, simply dont run when I come close. I tried every single way to capture them, by every angle, waited for the net to turn green, but It wont work. Does anyone knows How to solve this error?
