They told this story at the start of one of their Crown performances. It's about a boy who one day woke up to find that he had horns on his head. He was afraid of what people would say and afraid of being judge. The society thought he was weird and didn't understand why he was like that so he ran away from that place, but the comments and dark thoughts kept on following him which made him want to rip the horns off. But then he met the boy with wings and he said that his horns were beautiful. He also found other "creatures" (the other members) and together they made the star shine again which (in my interpretation) means that they now have some light on their lives because their together (notice in the beginning that the light went off because the little creatures followed different paths).
This story made me so emotional its extremely beautiful, not only the story itself but also the song and all the MV production, I felt like I was watching a real fantasy movie and that itself made me really emotional

Ok TXT, I see you. Scarred me for life with this one. What a concept. I love it.
I loved how they produced this MV. So for the korean text that shows up in the MV, it helps telling the story like old movies did. In Chapter 1, the text says something about the 5 boys who befriended a star and all 6 of them made a promisse to meet again even if they went their separate ways. But as time went by, the star went to sleep, people stoped dreaming and the promisse was forgotten.
A few years passed and on Chapter 2 Yeonjun woke up with horns in his head (from the story of the Crown MV). Afraid of been considered a monster, he flees to the woods. In Chapter 3 we see that each of the other boys also had acquired strange features: Soobin with giant ears, but using instruments to help him listen, Taehyun with that "star gaze", Beomgyu with thorns in his shoulder and finally Huening Kai with the wings (the boy with wings, who was also mentioned in the Crown storyline).
In Chapter 4 the text reads that the boys got reunited and woke up the star hinting a happy ending. Now I'm excited to see how the future songs of the "TXT Universe" are going to be and wich role the other boys will have on them. I like that their universe looks like a fairy tale and this MV fits so well with this concept!

i also have a theory. The korean meaning of "crown" is "crown of thorns" so maybe thats what his thorns meant
@@hyuckeez1770 your probably right! Have you watch the animation of Crown they released? I think it´s funny that the english title of the song is just "Crown" but it's korean name means "One day my horns grew in my head" (so big xD).

I think its bcuz its self mutilating that made it graphic. It just hit different. Seeing tae kill his abusive father i understood it and how it was bound to happen but seeing how 1st that cut on yeonjun neck appeared then him ripping off his antlers left me feeling anguished.

I cried. It really hurts my heart to know that there are ppl in this world who will put their self through physical, emotional, & mental pain to be "normal" or to "fit in". 🥺 I've always, somewhat, fit in to society, but if I were ever at that point or feeling that way, like I didn't "fit it" I'd walk away thinking "their lose".
Fans are so quick! They already linked this MV with TXT first promo photos (those with the flowers). If you compare, the place where the boys were holding their flowers is where their "oddities" are located or there are some relashionship with the MV: Soobin in his ear, Beomgyu in his shoulder and Taehyun in his left eye. Huening Kai flower was in front of his heart and he is seeing holding his hands in front of his heart in the MV. And Yeonjun flower was in front of his neck, wich gets a cut in the MV. It makes me wonder: does BigHit really has everything planned down to the smallest detail? (of course it does xD)
also in the bedroom of yeonjun the flashing lights was a Morse code for "help". His animal is a moose which is kinda of a protector animal...

I didn't like TXT at first, but their songs are slowly growing on me. When watched this this morning I was so amazed. This was beautiful and the song was very calm which is refreshing.

Bighit has been planning out txt's concept for 6 years so im not really surprise how good the story is and how good mv came out. Yeonjun and the rest of the boys did incredible in this mv. i can't wait for more TU stuff/ MV because this story is so good and unquie. and also my recommend for the next reaction is 'dont need your love' by NCT DREAM X HRVY

I feel like him breaking his antlers is symbolic to him growing up but not wanting to and rejecting adulthood (because we see he just wakes up one day, after the storm, playing with his friends under the star and they're all happy). After he's up and walking alone, life became a scary forest where he felt alone and preyed on by this dark creature (possibly the hardships of life itself) and broke his antlers in hopes of returning to his previous childlike state where none of those things were present but then the other members appear and comfort him, reassuring him that even though he might feel alone in his new state, he isn't. I feel like the star was what connected them at the beginning and continues to throughout their friendship even though they were all on their own at some point in the video.

I loved the whole thing, the style of video kinda reminds me of The Smashing Pumpkins or Radiohead but plot wise I felt like at the beginning they’re children & they have comfort & support with each other & that’s what the star symbolizes (the star could also symbolize home) but when the star broke they went down different paths & when one of them started going threw a really dark time it brought them back together to help him out & support him which is why the star started working again... that just my interpretation of it. 🤷🏾♀️🙌🏾❤️

You can't just find music videos like this. KPOP or not people don't do this sort of stuff anymore. This might just be the best video BigHit is putting this year. I hope we see more dark sweet concepts like this through TXT. I was mind blown when I first saw the video and still am. That's the thing, to make a good music video you don't have to have a dope choreography. All you need is something that will stick with the viewers.

I’m pretty sure the antlers are supposed to represent his differences. Yknow, the things that make him different from everyone else, the things that he might perceive as flaws and make him feel like an outsider.
I think it was explained that its about growing up and not accepting it (but also about being different I'm not sure)
This video depicts like when we were kids who have friendships and big dreams then comes the teenage life, thought we are already adult that we can survive but so many circumstances and becomes rebellious as depicted with the horns growing as seeking for independence but as a teenager we really cant.
The video will be like the story of TXT itself from becoming a Rookie then what follows is that we dont know.
Its a beginning of a more interesting story, the ending actually kept me hanging as to make sure the viewers well be hooked up and then kept asking on what's next.
But WE KNOW ITS MORE BIGGER.

I really love how the whole mv and lyrics represents the youth of today's generation. 'Cause we tend to deny ourselves when we are diff from others or from the trend without realizing that it is actually a gift. Bighit really stand by their reputation of "artists and music for the healing".

BigHit and TXT bringing back the true essence of Fairytales...
"nap of a star" was my fav after the title track bc the style was so unexpected. it sounds closer to indie than ballad to me, maybe bc of the guitar strumming? but this mv just takes it to another lvl whuuuut. the storytelling theme is so awesome bc it brings expectations of a soothing lullaby like Bris mentions with the bedtime feel but the visual cues are anything but relaxing. graphic even. and then the ending leaves you with a question mark and an expectation for magic with the last line of text (the lead in to their second release ig?). i'm impressed all over again that txt is able to do this kind of mv which requires a lot of acting and in return, emotional engagement from the viewer in their *rookie year* before (one might argue) their fandom has really grown and solidified 🤯😱😳 i can't help admire their goal to engage with ppl in an emotional way instead of just going for polished looks & dance (which they also have in spades but don't rest on those laurels) like most rookie grps tend to do. they've set their own bar so high for themselves, gotta applaud that type of fearlessness 👍👏👏👏

have you notice that at start of the MV, they're all wearing mask maybe trying not to reveal something, but despite of that, the star shines brightly because they are TOGETHER, but when they decided to be a apart,.. the star also die.. and then at the end, when they're back together, (no mask this time) showing their flaws and weaknesses, and they trying to hold on for each other and giving each other strength, the star shines brightly again. sorry for my english.. I was just so fascinated by this MV... truly emotional. Maybe even the world see them as a monster, they can stand still because they have each other,.. #TomorrowXTogether
