Exploring Chorao Island | Local Food, Bird-watching, Feni Tasting, Hidden Spots | Solo Girl in Goa

- I spent almost a month in Goa in January 2021 (way before the second wave). Goa is famous for its beaches, but its beauty lies beyond just that. There's a treasure trove of history, culture, food, nature and LOTS more, and on this visit, I got to discover some of it!
I went to Chorao Island and spent three INCREDIBLE hours there. I went birdwatching, ate delicious local food, saw a quaint church and even tried different types of feni!
This tour was curated by Soul Travelling, and I had a great time. Hope you enjoy the video!

I simultaneously feel excited and get scared when someone reveals the road less travelled. Because then it will not be the same as now people know about it. There is no escape from the city when you are surrounded by a lot of city dwellers.
Your videos are a treat of our eyes and I am sewing My Goa with new eyes
Thanks for projecting our beautiful Peace-loving GOA ..
Very informative and awesome narration..no boredom, kept me intact to my seat..Good one and thank you...
Thanks for sharing the sources. Like the travel group. I am fed up of going thru so many UA-camrs making good travel vid but forgetting to mention any of the details or tour guide sources. For someone planning a trip this info goes a long way. This make your vid stand out. ❤
Very good narratation with facts. Very clear and proper English. Videography is excellent. Better then any BBC documentary. Keep it up. U r great explorer.
Goa is beautiful and the less traveled places are indeed beautiful, so is life.
The less traveled, the unknown is indeed fearful and yet beautiful....
.
Wow,!being a Goan, never been here.will definitely visit .thanks for the video.
Thanks beautiful lady for sharing my village..god bless..
Keep up the great work.......
Nice narration.. expecting more videos of different places. Keep it up...👍👍👍
Thank you!!
That’s a amazing video. 🙏 thanks you.
Goa with a charming preeti.... What more could one ask for... 👌
What a beautiful place almost unspoilt. How long it will remain so God alone knows. However a bit of modernization without spoiling the natural beauty of the place will surely attract tourists.
Excellent place 😀
Putting a bookmark on this video. I knew I wanted to visit Chorao after watching Tollfree Traveller and Nomadographer document it, but I now I just want to book tickets and go right away. People have already been commending your style of narration and I don't think I have more to add. I'll definitely look Mayuresh up if I'm there.
Nice vlog priti, n also tasting n exploring the goan popular drinks, like urak n feni.
Good content and presentation...your channel deserves more subscribers...good luck 👍
I accidentally chanced upon tour vlog one day. Found it very interesting, a Goan looking at Goa through the eyes of a non Goan. This the Goa that resonates with my soul, peaceful, tranquil and beautiful.
Makes me get up take my jeep n just drive around, which I will do because you have excited my travelling spirit which had hibernated during Covid years.
Just love your aura too, i guess you give added appeal to the sights and your splendid narration keeps us wanting for more.
Well done dear, you have the Goan spirit(not the urack n feni).
Thankz for displaying Goa as a home to native Goans n not just a party place.❤🤗
Beautiful vlog preeti.. your narration added soo much more to it :-)
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it 😃

Hi ..I stay in Chorao...Codhan as it is called in Konkani.
It is such a surreal place hidden in nature and such fresh air to breathe. Life should be like this.
The only negative part is it is so beautiful that you don't want to go to vacations anywhere else. 😂
Thanks for the video.
Hope the people inspired to visit this little jewel will respect it and take their garbage with them. All it takes is a garbage bag pack you waste and take it back with you please 🙏. Would be nice if you make that bit of advise a part of your video. Its clean pls keep it that way if you ever visit it
Nice vid !

@@PeppyTravelGirl Ok Ma'am
Nice videos on Goa. Mostly everyone does just the camera Goa video. Hope videos are done on overcrowded local buses which govt of the day does not do anything to give new good buses. The filthy public loos & fish markets etc. , the garbage points everywhere. The expensive taxis. These should also be highlighted. There are plenty & plenty of difficulties also when holidaying in Goa. These were just a few. Making Goa a good tourist destination is a must to the govt. And rules made in place for everyone to follow, especially tourists. Thanks for your video but high light the otherside of Goa too.
Which editing software and camera you use?
♥️
I am big fan of u..
@12:38 hahaha put the local daru in a JW Blue Label bottle nice now it's blue label feni?
Only in Goa u will c Matured Drunk Folks enjoying
The flavored fenny is far better than raw fenny
But ur smiled killed it all
Mam apart from churches their are some beautiful heritage hindu temples pl explore them as well.
Ha...Ha...gud blog
How long was the bird ride? And what were the charges? Who can we contact to have boat ride?
SUperb ,,come to महाराष्ट्र and explore ,,ur welcome always💐☺️💐☺️💐
Nice to see a non-hidden side of Goa. So sad your camera doesn't have a zoom.
There were a few disturbances in the audio like the mic scratching the tripod/monopod. But is way beyond beaches!!
I'm Goan and Portuguese too.. I can truly say that the average Indian traveller to Goa does not experience the authentic Goa. For that u need live in her villages. The churches in Goa are all built by the Portuguese so they have that very unique European flavour similar to those in 🇵🇹.
We are in goa
Great I loved Aldona where I was born and grew up and married to a boy from Chorao. I killed two birds with one stone. Thank you just great. Now I live in Trinidad and Tobago. Far far from my country Goa. God bless Goa.
Atta Girl keep it up 😍
Thank youuu! ♥️♥️♥️

For me for my distanation is still my love Sohra(cherrapunji) I can't exploring till now.
Support in objecting 3 linear projects which will make Goa a coal hub....which it doesnt require it....
No no This is not even 30% of chorao....and its pronounced as Chodna by locals. ITS MY HOME TOWN...❤️ PROUD TO BE chodankar.....
How did you manage safer places to eat local food during covid?
At the time, I preferred visiting places that had fewer crowds. Going early helps, usually :) Plus, I kept a spray sanitiser and sanitised every surface before I touched it. Masks were on almost throughout except while shooting/eating.
Nc
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW CUTE FACE / HEROIN LOOKS
Mayuresh there are no temples in Chorao. No Holi maand no zatra festivals no palkhis of God goddess nothing sort of these things only shutdown seminary ,church, and uraak feni to drink?????
Did not visit any temple?chorao (Chodan ) had 24 temples which were destroyed by Portuguese.
Why no subtitle
I'm sure the last thing the people of Divar and Chorao want is their islands flooded with tourists seeking the 'other' Goa.
True . Ha ha . First comes the tourist then come the garbage .
Your voice on Mic is Different But your voice with your Picture is different.
Are you a solo traveler
Hi beautiful
I would like to travel with you mam. Will you take me as your friend
What is ur name
You are o pretty. Are you from Mumbai? 😛
The information about typical Goan breakfast is not true.
Please cut out the music and let's appreciate the quietness of the place
Enjoy your travels and keep great memories, but refrain from online marketing for the sake of the places you visit. Sharing your experiences with a few close ones is great, but this kind of online display is for your own glory, isn't it? It ultimately ruins the place.
Please give Uday contact
For me for my distanation is still my love Sohra(cherrapunji) I can't exploring till now.
