*This makes my old motor look like a toy **enjoyable.fishing** recommend it's well built. I haven't had it on the water yet, but I'm very sure it will perform just fine.*
Just a tip on the foot control after you exit anchor mode. I found that if you just change the speed control knob setting it will then come on without cycling the prop on and off. Let me know if this works for you.
Nice video, I am running the am xi3 24v with a TI 2 on the console on a g3 1710. I have found the using the got to way point useful from the console for brush piles. Just have to get a friend to drop the trolling motor for me first.
Just finished installing this on my 175 TX. Mine also hangs off the side like that. I really couldn't find a position where it wouldn't. I do not like that it hangs off the boat. The hanging off the front of the boat is unavoidable as well. Your video is 2 years old, so perhaps they've made some improvements? I don't have the foot pedal was going to buy one but now I'm hesitant. Did you say that 1 click on the directional pad = 1 foot? So if I wanted to move 5 foot to the left and 5 forward I could just click each button 5 times and I'm good? If thats the case that pretty sic.....
Hey gave you a shout the other day. Was wondering how close the bolt pattern on the XI3 is to the original factory bolt pattern on the MinnKota that came on your TXW? Thanks again Dave
@@clearwaterfishing Thanks Man. I mounted one on my previous bass boat and it wasn't either. Appreciate you taking the time to answer me. Good Fishing and always be safe! Dave
Nice review, but other than your comments about the action of the foot pedal, you should have known what you were getting before you purchased it. Its the low-end version that has anchor mode on it. Trying to compare it to something that costs over twice as much. Its not really comparing apple to apples.
basehorhonda I agree with you. It really isn’t a fair comparison. It would be better to compare the ultrex to the ghost or force. The Xi5 does use the same footpedal and is on the same price range as the ultrex.
curious about the protective nose piece on your tracker. is that a stock item or aftermarket? I have a 2016 175 txw and it doesn't have one. if you added it where could I get one? thanks dave
It doesn't look like they are available yet. I saw the short shaft for $740 and you can buy the pinpoint gps kit for $430 which would make it $1,200. Might be able to find the kit cheaper.
PrestonLoy81 In about 20 mph winds it will keep you in a 5 ft radius. It does really well if the wind is sustained and not gusting. You won’t see me out there too long if it is winder than 20 mph.
Do you like my review? Want to see more? Let me know down here in the comments.

It was ok. Footpedal is trash.

I would try it, but I sold the boat!
No that's a great tip. Thanks Captain Godsey. 👍
Change the foot pedal springs, will help with your steering controls.

I used to use that function, but I have most of my brush piles memorized.
Hey jraigs, did you buy the NMEA 2000 Kit or is it possible to connect this motor to the lowrance units as it comes out of the box?
I love this guy's facial expressions lol you rock buddy. Keep up the great work
Thanks man! I appreciate it.

They may have. I doubt it though. The foot pedal was unbearable. They remote directional pad moves it 5’ per click. Sorry if I said 1 ft.
Just purchased two XI3s. Had to return both. Done with Motor Guide.
Don’t blame you. It’s not very good.
great review! very helpful. thank you!
No problem. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Mine came with an X3 from back in the day. I can tell you they weren’t even close. I don’t think the minn Kota will be close either.

Mine came with it. You may be able to find it from a dealer as a replacement part.

How much are these 55lbs short shaft with just spot lock. No built in sonar etc. Can't find it on the site

Anyone had issue with it completely shutting off after going to full speed (usually within 3-5 seconds) ? I’m
Sounds like too small of wire and it is running high amps.
How well does anchor mode work on high wind days?

The xi5 pedals that you can buy online are compatible with the xi3?
Jose Alvarez Yes sir they are. But none of them work very good. They are either too sensitive or not sensitive enough.
How you change or charge on the xi3 remote battery?
It either uses AAA or AA. It been a year since I changed them. They last a long time. A little Phillips head screw driver is needed.
Hello sir how you turn off the motor just disconnected the battery ?
@@phonduong1836 Yes. I have a plug I just disconnect.
So this operates without fishfinder to anchor
John Boyd Yes, it has the GPS system built in.
Just order me one boss thanks
John Boyd Good luck!
where did you pick up the unit for $950.00?
James Macarelli I got it from Cabelas around Christmas so it may have been a sale.
Sound quality is faint.
Yeah. This was an early video. I have much better sound quality now. Thank you!
work on your audio bud.
Check out a newer video. I think I have fixed it.
Sound really sucks
I have improved my audio since this video. Check out something newer and see if it is better to you.
