As someone who hasn’t liked much of Disney Star Wars outside of Rogue One and Andor, I don’t blame most of the actors at all. The sequel trilogy had a lot of potential and I remember watching episode seven in theaters and being excited since it was the first Star Wars movie I watched in theaters. However they clearly had no plan which is why it’s barely a coherent storyline. John Boyega and Adam Driver were completely wasted which is really sad since their characters had potential. The way John was treated was unacceptable and extremely hypocritical for a company that supposedly cares about diversity (they don’t unless it makes them money) and all just to appeal to Chinese censors. Don’t even get me started on Mark, Carrie and Harrison never reuniting, which you would think would be an obvious slam dunk. With most of the Disney plus shows, they’re mainly just rushed and often filler content. Kenobi and BoBF are actual travesties for how wasted their titular characters are. They managed to bore me with shows about two of my favorite characters. The Acolyte is the one case where there was just way too much going against it even if I think a similar story could have been good. Preachy and cringe agenda pushing, an unlikeable main actress and some of the worst care for established lore I’ve ever seen. It’s the only show I couldn’t even spare the hour or so each week to keep up with because I felt like it just didn’t respect me as a viewer or fan of Star Wars. All of this to say that Disney has absolutely had an overwhelmingly negative impact on the brand and I don’t know if I see it recovering fully and I think the fanbase has accepted that Disney Star Wars is what it is but that the old stories we grew up will always be there for us to revisit. If anyone read all of this I’d like to hear what other people think even if you disagree! :)
I feel bad for literally all the cast members and JJ himself. Imagine if he actually had control over the sequels. They probably wouldn’t be flawless, but at least everything will come together better than what we got. Plus, everyone the cast did their hardest in their roles, but Disney fucked them all. But out of all the cast members, Daisy actually has been fucked the most. It seems like Disney has destroyed her career. If I can do the business, I need to participate in something that I can get her in that will actually get her the respect and praise she needs. She can be one of those actors who makes a comeback with one role. Hayden and Brendan were able to do so, so why can’t she?
The way Disney ruined this Franchise NEEDS to be studied so it never happens again; talking about Star Wars nowadays is either rage inducing or just plain depressing 🤦🏾♂️
No empathy, she did a job, and got paid. It isnt her fault that Disney destroyed Star Wars but she played the game and toed the line. She has been silent on the impact of her character on the Skywalker legacy and the Star Wars universe as whole. That comes at a price as well.

With a new leader replacing the woke disney, I was hoping that Daisy would finally get her flowers and that Rey could be redeemed.
I always felt that they should have used most the Extended universe as the source material starting with Jacen Solo’s(who Ben Solo’s based upon to an extent) emergence as Darth Cadeus, instead of just using minimal aspect of that universe.

I agree 100% with you. No name actors, weak CGI, bad casting, and I personally think James Gunn is overrated and only got the job because he'll do anything the studios tell him to do.
