This was such a helpful video! Thanks for sharing all these different scenarios 👌🏽
Thank you! I love to go the extra mile so it covers all bases. Glad you enjoyed it. : )
Great video! I love the nature comparisons✌🏻
Thanks Randall! A lot of effort goes into these videos so I appreciate your feedback. : ) They are really cool accessories.
Thanks for solidifying my choice! I saw another review that was great as well but I love how you did more situations to really show how versatile this filter is. Much love!! I’m going with the 20
Hey. Thanks so much man! Yes the 20% will give you a good strong look for sure. Enjoy!
Huge useful comparison! thanks
Thank you so much! A lot of time went into this video so I appreciate it!
Nicely done! I was wondering what the difference would look like, and you did splendid and differentiating the two.
Thanks so much! This one took a long time to make so I appreciate that. Thanks for watching.
My God this does look beautiful! Thank you for the detailed explanation and demo!
Wow. Thanks! Yes even I was surprised at how these shots came out even on an iphone 8. It's a really fun tool to play with.
@@SmartphoneFilmmaker Definitely stunning! To be honest, I can't wait to see a film by you with the cinebloom!
@@MyalismFilms Totally. Yes I have a few ideas in mind. Just tricky to film with others because of covid. Will have to get extra creative!
@@SmartphoneFilmmaker I know the feeling! Been wandering through ideas and projects by myself lately. I'm sure you'll surprise us with an awesome short though!
@@MyalismFilms haha It's tough for sure. Look forward to seeing what you make next too!
This video is a lifesaver. Respect for your efforts 👏👌
Thanks so much! Yes A LOT of effort went into this so really appreciate it.
NOTHING TO SAY JUST A VERY GOOD VIDEO MY FRIEND KEEP THEM COMING
Thank you so much mate! Glad you enjoyed it! : )
Awesome video... These filters look great. You helped me with the decision to go with the 20%
That's great to hear! Glad it helped. The 20% gives a very cool and stylised look for sure. Enjoy!
Great video! definitely help me with my next purchase
Thanks so much! Glad to have helped. There are links in the description box. : )
I was waiting for a video like this! Great comparison. I noticed in your video that between the 10% and 20%, roughly the same level of detail is kept. I have been shooting with the 20% for about a month now and, to my eyes, so much detail seems to be lost in my shots. The best I can explain it is - it’s as if I went from 1080p to 480p! Stopping down only helps a little bit. I wonder if mine is defective . . .
Thanks so much mate! Yes the detail stays almost the same. The main difference I found is in skin tones. Face markings, spots and scratches are less noticeable in the 20%. If you have gone from 1080p to 480p you will definitely lose quite a bit of detail. Unless it's super necessary I would always shoot at least 1080p. That way you will have plenty of detail and the files sizes won't be to big either. This video was shot in 4k but I definitely could've done it in 1080p.
Nice work, I use the 10 for photography, don't do much video but the 20 seems to work there
Thanks! Yes 10 for photography would be ideal unless you want a more extreme look. The 20 does look good under certain lighting on video for sure.
great video man
But I think you shouldve added a "No Filter" comparison to the side by sides.
@@JoeyTheMonkk Thanks so much! Yes I did wonder about that but I wasn't sure how useful that would be. I will know for any similar videos in the future. Thanks for watching!
I needed the bloom for the night shot that I just uploaded. I need a lot of equipment Rob! 🧐🤔🙋☄️🍻
Either can be pretty awesome for night shots. I know what you mean! Every month I'm like yeah I have everything that i need. Then I notice something else! lol
Good review.
Thanks man! Appreciate it.
Another great video idea for you would be doing a part 2 where you compare WITHOUT the filter, with the 10%, and with the 20%. That way we, the audience, can really see the difference
Hey. Yes that's true. I will have to think how I can make it feel different to my other cinebloom vids but that idea it noted. My 20% only video shows shots without the filter but I don't have that with the 10% yet.
@@SmartphoneFilmmaker Oh okay cool, will check it out. Because in this vid it's hard to see the effect; the 10% looks like there is no filter. And the 20 looks like it would be a 10
@@Leukick Totally. The 10% is pretty subtle. Will keep that in mind in future videos for sure!
great video, i would have loved it more if you added an addition no filter footage and step it up in your examples to really show the difference with and without it
Hey! Yes someone else mentioned this so I will definitely do that in the future. Consider it noted and thanks for watching.
I got the 20% but I think it works best at night time. Tiffen has a lot of different diffusions and for daytime I think I’ll get the Glimmer Glass diffusion.
Yeah I'd agree actually. It can be good for extreme daytime looks but the 20% definitely comes into it's own at night. The Tiffen diffusion filters looks amazing!
Awesome again, Mr. Ron. Do you do one-on-one consultations? I could use some help on a project. Cheers!
Hi Jean. Thank you for watching! I haven't done before but feel free to discuss the idea with me via email. My address is smartphonefilmmakerrob@gmail.com . Cheers!
@@SmartphoneFilmmaker Thanks Rob. Just tried to email at that address and it came back as undeliverable. is there a typo or second address? Cheers, Jean
@@jeanbrass Oh that's really weird! If you could copy and paste this address please and let me know how you get on. I have been receiving emails on that address for a while now. smartphonefilmmakerrob@gmail.com
@@SmartphoneFilmmaker That's what I did and just did it again and it looks like it made it through this time. lmk. Cheers!
@@jeanbrass Awesome! Yes it did. Just replied too.
Yeah totally going for 10
Good choice. Just used that for my latest short and it looks great!
Can I just stack two 10%'s to get 20%? So I can have 10% for everyday use and 10%x2 for stylized shoots?
I would have to guess that you could but I would still get one 10% and on 20% to be safe. There is no difference in price between a 10% and the 20%.
What phone?
Iphone 8.
Do not buy from Moment if you need your gear in a timely manner. I paid for one of these filters on Monday. Well it’s Thursday and the filter still hasn’t even been shipped yet lol. Worse part is I payed for 2 day fedex shipping lol 🤦🏻♂️
Oh that's annoying! Definitely drop them an email about paying for 2 day shipping. The upside is you'll definitely enjoy using them when they arrive! : )
Better to buy a cheaper camera 😉
