- SHOCKING Discovery FOUND BURIED under Overgrown Grass in City Park
I was contacted online due to an overgrown park in the City, folks wanted to know if I could clean it up so the Elders, Kids, and Garden Enthusiasts could use it. I showed up and was shocked to see how Overgrown it was, Grass and weeds up to 15 feet in some spots, edging buried under the grass, playground equipment buried and some invasive plants hanging over the fence, but I was shocked to see all the beautiful secret hidden pathways buried under the grass within this park. I decided to clean this up for free so the Community could come together and enjoy the scenery and play area within the Park.

What a beautiful park! Thank you for not cutting down the autumn sedum in bloom, the hostas, and the hydrangeas. Hopefully a local garden club might adopt that park and maintain it. Wonderful work Erik.
I was sad to see all the ornamental grasses being removed though
I to was disappointed to see you cut down plants with blooms. I think they will grow back, hopefully.

This is such a beautiful park! Never expected that to be hidden under all that overgrowth! You did an amazing job, Erik. I hope the residents appreciate what you did. Now the kids and even adults can enjoy a beautiful, safe place, an oasis in the neighborhood. I pray that they would either hire someone to do maintenance, or have a “Park Day” twice a month. If everyone would grab a weed eater, some sandwiches and drinks, show up and clean up. The residents could get to know their neighbors, keep the park safe and clean, and let the kids get to know each other. Oh, by the way, have you been working out? Looking good there. That’s sad the city cannot upkeep their own park. They need to be fined if they have ever fined anyone for not mowing private landowner grass.
The neighborhood could have stepped up.
What’s good for the Goose isn’t good for the Gander, don’t you know? People have forgotten these city government employees work for us! Not the other way around. Until people are willing to stand up United together and reclaim there local government- no change will occur. Now is a good time to hold your employees accountable. After all it’s your tax dollars which pay them. Way to go Eric! Good man!
From some things that were said at the beginning, I got the impression it was a privately owned park run by an organization. It’s privately owned but open to the neighborhood.

That was intense. I personally thought it would take you 2 days the amount of work you put into it to make it beautiful again. You can tell there was at one time care taken and whoever did was someone who knew how. Love the before and after on this one. Love from Canada.

Never like to see dead clippings on anyone’s lawn, whether paid or free.
I agree a mower with the bagger for the clippings is really a must for areas like this.

I agree that the benches would look better painted but I bought some paint the other day and about fell out when the gentleman behind the counter gave me the price of 800 dollars. Everything has gone up tremendously price wise since Biden was selected president. It's unreal at the price for everything and anything now days.

Lovely park. I don’t think small towns can afford or have the man power to take care of these small parks. So good of you to do this. I always wonder about the flowers that get cut out. Glad you kept these big plants (don’t know the name), but makes the Park taken care of.

Erik I am so jealous of you being able to wear a short sleeve shirt outside without being cold & bundled up & with all of the greenery you have there in Michigan. Right now here in South Dakota, all we have is lots & lots (feet deep) of white landscaping to look at. The last few days, it has melted some, but we still have lots of large mountains of snow laying around. In total we might have melted about a quarter of a inch of snow in the last few days.

There is beautiful elements to that garden. It needs some changes though to make maintenance easier. There are too many rocks out in the middle which makes mowing with a lawn mower almost impossible. You did a great job.
