I am bangali but born in NYC. I was a huge fan of Margarita way before I even knew she was half bangali! She makes me so proud. I always thought that she is the perfect rhythmic gymnast, she draws you in with her beautiful artistic energies.
I love both Yana and Mamun but I'm so glad Mamun took the gold here 🥇 love this video!

That's how the gold medal should be won. Without making mistakes. Being perfect in every routine. We didn't see it in Olympics 2020 and it was a shame for the whole gymnastics world.
Blame that to the 2017-2021 Code of Points of RG, it allowed the gymnast to become champion even with mistakes only if she had higher difficulty. That’s how Dina Averina became World Champion in 2018 even tough she dropped her ribbon, and throughout the entire Olympic Cicle she had mistakes in her routines and still got gold. Linoy won the Olympics because of the same thing, her difficulty, and Dina got less difficulty in her routines due to her back injury which cost her some points.
I'm sorry but this format feels a bit annoying to watch. The constant rewinding just when it gets interesting. I get it, building suspense and all...but made me wanna quit the video, just as a feedback, no harm intended :)

I still feel deeply sorry for Yana! Such an incredible athlete that should’ve claimed the gold medal, it was only because Yana made one wrong move that push her down to silver! If Yana Never made that mistake then Yana would’ve been Olympic champion! No doubt!

That day Rita WAS BETTER. And only this counts. Mabye Yana was more succesful, but she probably lost in her head. Kinda like Kabayeva - so shure to win, but something goes wrong.
That means even you are lose so much if you work hard and never give up one you will reach the best and also can beat the best even yana herself said that rita is more hard worker than her and repeat every steps much than her . Secret is believe in yourself and hard work

She contacted Bangladeshi Olympics Association before Rio Olympics to represent Bangladesh But that bloody Association rejected her which have never produce even a single athletes who could qualify for Olympic without wild card entry🙂
I'm not Bangladeshi but had they accepted, Bangladesh would have got a medal be it any colour and she'll probably started her own gymnastics academy coaching many talented boys and girls.

Yana made 1 mistake, and that was it! I wonder why the judges gived the gold to Linoy when she dropped the aparatus too
Because the codes of points are very different
because it is a different code of points. in 2016, a drop was much more fatal because difficulty was limited. in 2020 however, difficulty was open, and all routines were so packed with difficult elements that execution weighted less in the total score. so, winning with a drop in this olympic cycle was not that shocking, it happened plenty of times at world championships too.
If you can’t even open your eyes and see that gymnasts in this code are awarded D-scores which are higher than the TOTAL SCORES (D + E-scores) of the previous code then don’t speak.
Different times different rules get over it.

Честно говоря, это Яна проиграла, а не Рита выиграла. Без травм и ошибок Яна была неприкасаема. С любовью к обим, замечательные спортсменки.

This presentation is so overly dramatic and detracts from Rita's achievement instead of adding to it.
Rita had been the best RGymnast of the world for about one year until Yana came. Yana was that tiny bit more precise, more in control, more deft in handling the apparatus.
Those are things that matter when deciding a score.
Rita and Yana were friends. They were only rivals during competitions. They both knew they were the best in the world.
In Rio, things didn't go well for Yana. She wasn't more precise than Rita, during that competition. Rita, instead, managed to keep her cool and perform as she usually did when in form. Which was more than enough to grant her a deserved gold.

Russian has always been the dominance force in the field of rhythmic gymnastics , yet olympics 2020 was quite surprising, with Averina twins finished with 2nd and 4th , while group all around also lost to Bulgaria. There 5 consecutive Olympics championship was broken in both program ,poor Russian.
