Wow. Amazed by your wisdom and explanation skills. Truly an incredible video, I enjoyed it and learned from it a lot. Thank you so much and keep up the good work sir❤
Bassist here. Beautifully done - makes me want to write lyrics for it. Love the over-the-shoulder camera angle - like playing in a dive bar with the band on top of each other. A great, but little-mentioned, skill thereby: "reading" the pianist's fingers. Honestly haven't gotten past the first chorus, up to c. 8:05 - the Love Supreme quote and those Ab - A7 whatsis chords @ 7: 43 . . . with a looping app on my side, I'm stealin' all of it!
Thanks! That's exactly what I'm going for, with the camera angle. I remember standing next to the piano, watching over Billy Taylor's shoulder as he played. The oral tradition!
@@rondrotoskeyboardimprov9453 great to hear! Jazz is sometimes described as elitist, inaccessible, or monotonous, channels like yours show this couldnt be further from the truth 😊!
Thanks Ron Great lesson! I've sort of been incasipated with health Issues but back into it now thanks to the almighty above...
Best of luck with your health issues, Randy, :)

Love this tune. Beautiful rendition Ron!
Thanks Shane! Give it a try :)
loved your solo...such great lines and ideas.
Thanks - it's fun to play modally like this.
I like Joe Lovano's mid-up-tempo version - live at the Village Vanguard, now on YT.
So pretty
Much appreciated!!!
