But then I started watching your tutorials (which are very well explained by the way) and I have started doing new loops, adding strings, trying to figure out good ways to end my bracelets and participating in your challenges. have you ever tried making an alpha/normal bracelet? i made one myself because i wasn't quite comfortable with alphas yet. you knot the string like in alphas (i did fifteen in a row for each string), but then you switch them like normal patterns.
@@avamuffoletto9338 you start by doing a normal section if the pattern of your Choice, then you use the string as base string for your alphas and knot with another leading string.

Hey Masha Question: When you are doing a string change and you switch/clip the string. In the future have you ever had a bracelet unravel itself or have you ever tried to tie the old string into the new one or the new one into the old one before you bring a string out and before you cut it? I’ve tried to grab the old string and putting it with the string next to it that I am about to do a knot on and usually knot it with my new string before I cut the old string out but then it becomes all bubbly and the bracelet doesn’t look right. What would you recommend I have this problem a lot in regular patterns and not super often in alphas because your videos on alphas usually help with what my problem is.

Making one now for the challenge and it works super well and is really easy to do the switch! Could you use this technique for alphas? i've only made two alphas so far and I used your flat alpha technique...just wondering why this one wouldn't work or not be as good compared to the flat technique? You're so awesome and I'm so happy I discovered your channel!
I filmed a video on my alpha progress that's gonna be posted sometime next week where I go in detail about this but basically in alphas you need to connect the base strings together and just switching out the strings like this doesn't achieve that

In the original pattern there are 18 of them, but in the video the straight edges technique was used, so that makes 20.

May I ask something unrelated? 😂 How do you read the alpha patterns in pixels in which the direction of knots are not given?
You just figure out what direction you need to go based on which side your leading string is on
