All is true- ice/cold bath is discomforting, give sudden shock, makes short of breath. i don't think it's for everyone. And it's not advisable, it's very discomforting, why to give body stress daily. Top level athletic like him have a different body conditioning, cardiovascular to immune system, which they have built form several years of fitness journey. Football may be game of 90 minutes, but its very brutal a person required a very good stamina to survive in the field for 90 minutes.

This is deadly, a person from my colony died while bathing like this in winters due to blood clot in head, first feet should be wet not head.

Don't put cold water directly on the head if you are bathing. Chances are you will get dizzy due to blood rushing to the brain.
Take it slowly.
I swear by cold water bath.. do it 365 days!!

@ yes.. round the year.. even in cold winters of North India.. it’s the most refreshing thing and it doesn’t make you feel cold the entire day..
