It's a year ago since you commented, however I would be interested to know what has changed in your perception of the track in 1991, compared to know for you to feel so different about it 30 years later on. Thanks 💫
What a track takes me right back to the 90s I'm nearly 52 and still love listening to old stool rave as well as old skool hip hop better music better times.
How one tune can invoke such happy memories, blissful times, the unity of everyone dancing, letting loose, free spirited, in the moment. The utopia of music. 🩵🙌🏽This is probably my favorite old skool tune. Never gets old. 💃🪩🕺
Looking on UA-cam to find Roobarb and Custard to show my son the cartoon and found this....so I put it on and start dancing the old moves and my boy looks on as if I'd gone mad!!! Ah the beauty of 90's music.....the youngsters these days are deprived to be sure!!!
Me and my sister are planning my late stepdads funeral and this is his song request for when we walk him down on his final journey... I'm worried its gonna turn into a rave walk 😂❤
Slave 2 The Rave Rave To The Grave. 💖🎶🎶🎶🎼🎼🎵🎵 Brightest Blessings and Comfort to you and your family. If your step Dad was a Raver, he must've been a good dude!💖
Would drive all over in my mates Austin Metro, 17 years old with tunes banging from the alpine speakers in the back, probably the speakers were worth more than the car thinking about it, but did that car have story’s to tell oh yeah !!
I haven't heard this for years, what a flash back.I loved the rave an club era as it was amazing and fantastic and it was a Religion to me.Every weekend for years,I wish I had a time machine. Eeeeeeeeeeeee
@@nickxcore74 "Everyone got along" Yes, especially in Northern Ireland where they will still hacking chunks out of each other. Then there was all that poll tax stooshie - yeah, people loved each other, maaan!

The Academy nightclub Friday 20 December 1991 I bumped into the love of my life ❤ never forget that night and the records played including this one. Xx
I'm old school, spiral tribe, free parties and this was wicked in 91 I had just got back from India and the pills were rhubarb and custard and I remember in the morning seeing all these loons dancing up near the decks, 2 actually dressed as rubarb and custard. I think the rave was perception.
i gotta say, i sadly never experienced anything with the 90s and i do wish i have some experience with it.. but i do know the fantastic music from the 90s and damn its so good! i wish 1 day we will have that back
I was listening to all of this music at the time on the radio and TV when I was 12 years old, but I never went to a rave or club. So it was a bit odd hearing the music but not having anything to do with the culture behind it.
When I first heard it, I thought it was insane but weird because I didn’t know the original source material, but still loved it and when I found out it’s a cartoon show, I found it insane even more so and loved it more!. Such a genius track and how sampling should be done.
1991 it came out in December time, but went top 10 the following year, so I’d say you were right on 1992!. Same year I bought it while it was on its way out of the charts.
I very well remember dancing to this song in Equinox nightclub in london's West End in 1992. I was 19. Fantastic starting my clubbing days during the rave era.
Reminds me of being a teenager and having Kiss FM pretty much all day when Gordon Mac ran it. I knew there was no hope of me ever tuning in again the day I heard them playing Britney Spears.
Cheesy yes, but awesome at a RAVE. Trip To Trumpton, Seseme's Treet, Rhubarb & Custard, Ebeneezer Goode etc, were just so funny, especially the latter. I still cannot believe people (the fans) do not 'get it'. Oh well.
WOW the first time i heard this i was 15 roaming the streets at 3 in the morning and all of a sudden i hear the rhubarb baseline coming from a basement party . Omg u could hear it from streets away and i was hooked . The rave scene had taken over my body . Good times !
Actually a decent tune , despite being slated by the purists. Also a reference to Rhubarb & Custard pills that did the rounds in the early 90s. Very potent.

Love the old skool pianos.
It suddenly emerged in 1988/89 and was still being used by Gala in 1997 on Freed From Desire. Then it disappeared.
