For getting high speed in indian Train,We need a huge investment for 1.New Rail Lines and Existing Track upgradation 2. Advance signaling system upgradation 3. Kawach installation throughout rail lines 4.Light weight Almunium upgraded train sets with high safety standards. 5.Four Dedicate fraight coridor operational system Without these five works progress ,Rail Traffic can't decrease. It is very difficult to increase speed and also risky to operate Train @200 KMPH speed. Because the driver can't operate on such high speed without advance safety and security standards.
Gadkari sir is great but there is a world of difference between upgrading roads and railways. Roads are relatively simpler technology which can be upgraded quicker by the use of even mostly low skilled labour. Railways on the other hand, are extremely complicated technology compared to roads. They will take much longer to be upgraded.
Mumbai locals need a full overhaul. It's unfortunate that people are traveling ticketless for whatever reasons and ac locals which could've changed the face of locals are not accepted widely by the people. It's the mindset which needs to be changed towards the public property. IR needs funds to upgrade the network but still running in losses even with serving the huge population of Mumbai.

It is the tracks. They are low cost and ancient. But the grades and curves/alignments were designed for ancient slow trains. So unless the ugnments, grades, and tracks are not changed to accommodate high speeds, Indian trains will reflect a third world country while China's regulat trains easily do 180 kmph and bullet trains are running at close to 400 kmph.
To enhance the rail infrastructure and to maintain it, essential thing is sufficient manpower. But IR is going for short sighted cost cutting measures in even safety category like loco pilots and track maintainers. According to Railway Board instructions, Loco pilots are to work for a max of 9 hrs, but here in south Central railways, LPs are made to work for 14hrs daily and they get 8hrs rest at outstation and again work for 14 hrs. And there are so many things happening internally in safety category which one can hardly perceive.

Considering the economic diversity Indian railways needs to run different kinds of trains ( sleeper / general only/ full ac / vande Bharat) on multiple routes. For eg there can not be only two main routes between Delhi and Mumbai. Construction of new lines is very slow. For eg the ongoing track construction between Indore and Khandwa which can be a shorter alternative between North and South India. Thereby reducing congestion on Bhopal Nagpur route. But politicians only care about their benefit. The private bus lobby is not letting it complete for almost 15 years now.
The Railways system in Northeast needs an overhaul and should be connected to the rest of the country with High Fast Train so that the unemployed youth can travel for work across the country. At the moment only flights offer time saving travel experiences but the cost for flight is so high that it can't be afford by many people. The railway minister should come up with two railway tracks running parallel to one another dedicated for local and inter state trains or goods trains. If Highways and flyovers can be introduced for rails like road vehicles it can cut down the train traffic and open up spaces for faster moving of the trains.

The title of the video should be why slow railways defeated India till now as this is going since independence! I’m stunned that the speaker on this video didn’t talk much about the efforts current govt putting in to improve railways.
Previous governments had totally ignored track repair and renovation which had now piled up. Certainly this has now become an Herculean task. It also appears that steel grade of tracks is also not equal to such as Japanese grade tracks therefore Japan is laying Japanese tracks for Indian bullet train. India must focus to upgrade for strong superior track manufacturing and track laying should more strong and durable. Another problem is manual permission to enter station platforms and trains had to wait on outer although platforms are not occupied by any other train. Signalling should be made 100% automated.

Tracks are overburdened by trains because train routes are politically motivated. There are shorter routes between two cities but still trains travel longer which increases fare and time also. Alternate routes are not being given attention. For eg if you have to travel from North to South there are only two main routes which are heavily conjusted ie via Konkan or via Bhopal Nagpur.
Munirabad to maheboob nagar new railway line which reduces distance between Hyderabad to Goa is sanctioned in 1997 , work started in 2011. still the work is going on. I think it will complete in 2050.

I have done internships in Northern Railways
Railway employees are the most inefficient employees I have seen they are not innovative their attitude is very poor they are not passionate towards their work
they are same people with government employees attitude many selected via reservation
And they have some Trade Unions of employees which doesn't allow them to work
Railway can only be modified with privatisation including new High speed railway line Rapid Rail etc
current railway infrastructure cannot be upgraded above a certain level
That's the reason why Government wants to privatize railways (except operations)

The title of the video should be why slow railways defeated India till now as this is going since independence! I’m stunned that the speaker on this video didn’t talk much about the efforts current govt putting in to improve railways.
Previous governments had totally ignored track repair and renovation which had now piled up. Certainly this has now become an Herculean task. It also appears that steel grade of tracks is also not equal to such as Japanese grade tracks therefore Japan is laying Japanese tracks for Indian bullet train. India must focus to upgrade for strong superior track manufacturing and track laying should more strong and durable. Another problem is manual permission to enter station platforms and trains had to wait on outer although platforms are not occupied by any other train. Signalling should be made 100% automated.
Previous govt did broad gauge upgradation. Electric upgradation. New tracks Laid. Now they only focusing on introducing new trains.

Tracks are overburdened by trains because train routes are politically motivated. There are shorter routes between two cities but still trains travel longer which increases fare and time also. Alternate routes are not being given attention. For eg if you have to travel from North to South there are only two main routes which are heavily conjusted ie via Konkan or via Bhopal Nagpur.

Munirabad to maheboob nagar new railway line which reduces distance between Hyderabad to Goa is sanctioned in 1997 , work started in 2011. still the work is going on. I think it will complete in 2050.

This design is only useful when train is moving at a considerable high speed. Average Fright train speed in India is 25km/hr. So this design will only create a burden on Manufacturing & maintanence
@@animadas2306 we are improving tracks and making separate tracks for freight trains so goods can travel fast as this video explains. The point is if we are making fast tracks why not include trains with a design that can make them fast instead of a box
