I can't believe that I never noticed this sooner. Okay, so the lily of the valley is a very poisonous plant, right? Now, why does Susan Ashworth hate flowers? There's the connection. This song is referencing Zoe and her demise.
I think this plays as Susan realizes she has to play along with Queen of Maggots' revenge on the Parasites. Haven't played it in a while, might be a different instance when it plays.
@@emapelikanova478 and the room shown during that scene is a dreamlike reconstruction of Zoe's room. I recall this song playing in at least one other section of the game, though I'm not sure which.
This and Two Stone Rings were my favorite themes when I played the game a long, long time ago. I don't remember in what context this song plays, but for me, I think of persistance. The way the piano "persists" through the song gives me this impression. And since I'm in a moment of life where I will need absolute persistance to go through a lot of challenges, I'm back to listening to this song and about to replay this masterpiece.
oh man i remember when i heard this for the first time and just lost my shit because of the weird yet cathartic way it made me felt. i may have my problems with this game but the soundtrack is goddamn flawless
Makes me think of Death coming right towards me in a straight line, inexorably, slowly. I can only look at her, sitting on the floor, back to the wall, eyes open, focusing on the figure walking towards me with nothing around. I can't do anything about it. It's just how it is. I'm not even scared. My expression is empty, so is her gaze. She's just here to take my life, she doesn't want to hurt me.
Most likely unpopular opinion, but I didn't really dig the OST in this game. BUT, when this track started playing... it hit somewhere deep, waaay deep in there. That place of the mind where you find some comfort and peace in sadness. The melacholic feel with mix of safety and nostalgia. I absolutely adore this track.
"The parasites are coming, whether you wants it or not!"
How an OST can make the game... This track is a big example of it.
I want to give the pained and confused soul that wrote this music a hug... This song is amazing

@@TheHappyMadman Whoa, I hadn't noticed that before! Excellent catch.
oh shit guys I watched season 4 of breaking bad for the first time today
Might be the best track in the game. Feels like remembering a traumatic event.
thats a great way to describe it
I absolutely love this track. Found this game because of Cry's videos.
There's something really heavy yet hopeful about this track. My mind is instantly transported to Susan's apartment when I hear this.
"I have to deal with this problem head-on"
That's how I felt when listening to this the first time around

this feels like the face track of the game, the one i recognize the best.
This track and “Devil came through here” instantly come to mind for me when I think of this game.
I like it cause it's the song when the maggot lady introduces parasites and what she must do x love the games vibes

My second favorite OST in this game. Hearing it the first time literally caught my breathing and gave me so much chils.
What is the first ?
Whats the first one ?
What's the first one ?

This song is sad but powefull too. Beautiful,. Perfectly fits this game., thanks for posting!

just what I need to sleep
Best song of the soundtrack
Love that music!
omg, I realized today this song and the whole last chapter is heavily inspired by the season 4 finale of Breaking Bad
I started watching that show a couple weeks ago wtf but yeah I had to put my shirt back on when I heard this in Breaking Bad
I'll do it by my way
The only thing that's missing from this is where to go to download this music
Google UA-cam to MP3, drop in the link to this video, and proceed to download. Easy peasy.
+The Happy Madman Thanks :D Bubby
very late, but if you want to support the artist, you can also buy the ost on spotify and on other places

Too bad that the OST you can buy on steam doesn't include half the tracks.
@markymint My Apologies. I just looked on the Store Page, not in the folders.
