This is exactly why Widow have to be nerf on OW2 with only 1 tank??? One shot from Mars when its almost impossible to counter her... Its nothing about skill here even you are really good ! Just the mechanics from the game is to overpowered for hanzo/widow..

@@DanKenyaGreene Widow got returned to 200hp in OW2. Shortly after they nerfed dive and put one less tank to shield against her. Half the tanks don't even have shields anymore. About 3/4 of the maps have Sniper's Nests or long, open passageways (think, push maps). Honestly Widow's character doesn't fit well with OW and never has. The focus of the game should be fast paced, brawly combat. Not sneaking around on stealth missions so you don't get your head popped by her. Playing against widow nowadays gives me CSGO awp vibes. You can miss 70% of your Widow shots, hit one and suddenly you're winning the fight. And I respect the amount of aim good players have with her, like Kenzo. But I'd be lying if I said that it was fair, or fun to play against.

Overwatch is extremely diverse in it's mechanics and it will always be the game that tries to be 20 games in one. Widow has always been on the extreme end of a spectrum (when Roadhog punishes you for getting in range, Widow punishes you for getting in LOS while you're NOT in range). Doesn't mean that she doesn't belong though, it would be like saying Reinhardt doesn't belong for being a melee character or Mercy doesn't belong because she doesn't have to aim. IMO there is exactly one moment when widow is unfair, and that is the brief moment at the start of a round when the selected heroes are hidden in the tab menu and she can catch you off guard coming out of spawn. After that it's up to you and your team to locate her and if you die after letting her be on your screen for too long that's on you.
@@albingrahn5576 "Just position better lol" Again, half the maps have nests for her to sit in. For example, Busan has a nest on either side and a vast swath of no mans land in between. So you can huddle around the edge to point, but now you're automatically in disadvantage because you have to push out of a chokepoint. She can see all of the routes to point, and she can see half of point itself. Scenarios like this happen a lot when widow is picked: the opposing team now has to play in a way that puts them at a direct disadvantage. Characters that instant kill you for playing the game kill the fun of the game. If you want to play angles and all that, go play Valorant, CSGO, Siege, or any of the other games designed to function in that manner. But OW will function best when it's evenly about the abilities and the shooting, if anything it should trend more towards abilities. Widow has never really sat well with the style of the game, but in the current meta widow is god tier unless you have a widow to outsnipe them. For the positioning part, Widow could literally be on the other side of the map and still kill half your team, play Junkertown on Offense if you don't believe me. Or that one push map with a massive open tunnel. You can't position around that.

Ok...I just had the weirdest experience...I played a comp game on tank queue...and acutally it was like no limits. You could pick every character and no role cap...and I asked around and NO ONE was wondering whats going on. They told me to shut up. And I got credits for competitive after....WTF
you went into competitive open queue on accident it seems. you can choose any character and can have two tanks one healer if you'd like! you must not have realized you were queuing into open

that team was just bad, they did not prioritize at the beginning of the match and they chose characters that would match against their enemy. You just got one of the luckiest matchmaking in OW.
