Really like the lyrics Vesper. Very cool progression how your Original builds and builds throughput from the start of those wonderful percussions. Enjoying my listen and super cool video too. Black and White adds so much.
Thanks so much, Darren, for your insightful comment! This one is very different from anything I've written before and it kinda took me for surprise at where it wanted to go. Glad you enjoyed it!
I LOVE THIS! the title, lyrics, video, music and special appearance by Sharkey the cat. I love the creativity coming out of you, stepping outside your comfort zone and taking that leap of faith. I was wondering how your recording was going since we didn't see any new posts, especially after the flurry of Drums First creations. After the black and white, mysterious mood of the video, it was good to see a smiling face at the end. :) Welcome home!
Thanks so much, Richard.....So happy you like it and appreciate your thoughtful comments. Yeah, it took me a bit of time to get back into the swing of things after my long European adventure but I did have a plan for a song based on Venice all along and even filmed the footage there with my future song in mind, even though at that point I didn't know what it would sound like. Next I am moving on to a cover of Zep's When the Levee Breaks with some friends but I will also be writing more original songs too. Stay tuned! 🙂
@@Vesper_Songs I really like how you were able to use your own video footage, and using black&white is perfect. I like the drum kit you used on this as well. You seem to be getting more comfortable using the Model 12, which allows you to focus more on recording than learning as you go. I had that experience recently using my Tascam DP24SD when I took a break from the computer. If you have any free time and a pair of headphones, I'd be honored if you check out my newest song "Listen". No pressure or anything like that, only if you have time, if not no worries. Your new collaboration doing the Levee Breaks songs sound like fun, as well as ambitious. I'm sure the break from working solo will be both rewarding and fun. I would love to visit Italy some day. I spent a lot of time in Asia during my military days, but nothing in Europe.
