My youngest son (now 15) was about 5 when he came home from school asking what a racist was. He was called a dumb white boy, and a racist, why? Because he is white and the other kids not. Yes, the teacher knew, did she anything about my son being bullied and excluded every day? No, because "Us white people can not be discriminaded on", her jaw dropped when I said I was mixed, which making my son also mixed (not that much but still). Even his best friend (still are) stood up for him, only for him to get backlash for a "dark brother defending a stupid white kid"....🤦♀️ Racism is educated Thank you to all kids shows for brainwashing kids that young to turn out like that.
My mother has a Scottish friend whose grandson is half-Thai. He’s from a very rural part of Thailand, my mum’s friend told her that the local kids (in Thailand) would call him what loosely translates to as “white n-word”.
I literally thought racism was a thing of the past until I was about 20 years old. I put the colour of ones skin at the level of the colour of their hair or eyes. As a result, I never treated anyone differently based on race. The past ten years it's felt like every form of media can't wait to hit you over the head talking about racism if not outright accusing you. The worst racists I've seen are all black, because they've been told "They can't be racist" and actually believe that.
Can't forget the pinnacle of woke, the episode of Law and Order SVU where a lesbian woman was violently raped by a black man and she refused to press charges because that would he racist and she is more privileged than he is and she can just pay for therapy to get over what happened to her. Unbelievable
what is this trying to teach young girls? that they shouldn't speak up about abuse just because of their abuser's ethnicity?? each and every human can be a criminal, no matter their skin color. letting someone like that live freely in society would just result in more people getting traumatised. horrible
Speaking of Lilo & Stitch, I heard they want to make the live action of the movie. Some of the cast has been shown, one of them are a native hawaian actress who play as Nani (Lilo's sister). But some people want to recast her because, on qoute "sHe iSn'T bLaCk eNoUgH." Like really, the actress is literaly a hawaian but the skin isn't dark enough and they think its okay to cast someone who has a skin darker then my future. By this point they don't want "corectness", they want what is in their hallowed head to be the right thing.
Yes! Thank you for this. L&S is my favorite Disney movie and it was an amazing movie about sibling love long before Frozen and people keep sleeping on it.
No. It's because teenagers are impressionable and give in to peer pressure, so these shows are trying to pressure teenagers into accepting the message.
Why would you distract a doctor from saving your life? If I was dying, a doctor could call me anything as long as he was focused on helping me. I feel like the person correcting the doctor about pronouns, whilst the doctor was trying to save their life, really goes to show the narcissism of some of these people. Like you are in danger and you just need to make everyone aware that you are a “they”.
Honeslty im trans and everytime I go I let them know I prefer to be called she but I’m aware of my biology and I know that biologically I am and was born male .. some doctors are really cool about it but like you said to distract a doctor midway with pronouns that’s pretty stupid 😅
I was having a conversation recently and a friend made the statement "in today's society you can no longer love someone without society thinking you want to sleep with them, gone are days of loving a friend, a neighbor or any type of platonic brotherly/sisterly love" and it made me sad thinking about that.
Yes. I honestly believe MANY (maybe not all), people who think they are homosexual as in that IS who they are and not a choice, believe this because of this statement you mentioned. They have a love for someone ofbthe same sex/gender and our society/culture has conditioned them to think "oh, i love a fellow male/fellow female, so that must mean im gay". And then they are confused and that confusion grows when they give in and partake in those wicked actovities, but then realize "i am not fully aure what i am". And dont know what to do. If is very sad indeed.
I wished this comment got pinned. This statement rings so true especially now. For example I've been following the promotions for deadpool and wolverine and the amount of people I've seen sexualizing the relationship between Hugh and Ryan is insane and I'm not talking about their relationship in the movie, I'm talking about their relationship in real life.
One game recently that I respect that refuses to be "tolerant" is Helldiver's 2. People demanded they add LGBT flags as capes to the game and the studio repeatedly stated "we don't want any real world politics involved in our game."
As a straight male, a lot of my favourite and most relatable characters are women. I shouldn't have to be a biological match to somebody to feel inspired by them.
Many of my favorite characters are men. It's almost like my gender doesn't dictate my tastes in fictional characters, unless I like them because they're hot. There's usually more reason than that, though.
I’ve always liked male characters more than female characters. I was also a cosplayer who liked to cosplay more male characters. This made me trans or non binary? No, because I’m me and not the characters I relate to or like to cosplay. Some people have problem understanding that you can relate to someone different from you and this is fine.
I was a 2 year old girl with white blonde hair and blue eyes when the first HTTYD movie came out. Astrid wasn't from the Barbie franchise, she wasn't some sort of princess or anything.. she was just a bada$$ girl. She was able to fight, she had a brain and (unlike the "strong female characters" we have NOW) she had a heart, emotions, AND a story arc. And now, they're taking the actually strong, actually WELL WRITTEN girl I identified with in my younger years and turning her black. If they want black characters, make new black characters. Mile Morales is biracial (black/hispanic) and everyone loves him because he's a well-written, NEW character. There's a reason the country of Egypt sued Netflix for "Queen Cleopatra."
dude i always loved the badass girl characters from my childhood ( like astrid, buttercup, the girl from spy kids, etc) and race never crossed my mind when relating to or wanting to be like these cool characters. i think growing up we actually saw the characters character and not what they are and it sucks how this has changed. when i make my shows this stuff would not happen.
@@cypress05 ..Question. Do you like to read? My dad finds (and loves to share) books about girls who *aren't* just minless, heartless girlbosses, but who are still strong/skilled and have depth. Books are where I've gotten a lot of my entertainment since Hollywood went super woke and decided that Caucasians are all evil and should be erased from history.
Miles morales is a horribly written character who is just a poor imitation of peter parker. People need to stop pretending he's anything more than that.
Good point about Miles Morales, but I have to say it seems like nowadays they really are trying to replace Peter Parker with him. They did it perfectly in the 2018 Spiderman (the game) but there seems to be a serious push now to replace Peter Parker. And every one of these shows with established white characters, you can see them fill the background with tons of diversity hires and it's so obvious they'd love to replace all white characters. All that said, make sure you (anyone reading) get your movies and shows on bluray! Preserve them as they are before someone makes a bunch of "edits" to them on streaming!
I dont think miles morales is as popular as the media tries to portray him as, he is kind of a bland token character. However, you are correct that he is more tolerable because he is actually his own character and not just some race swapped character, which is an awful, rasis practice that needs to end, stat.
They’ve been doing it since the 80s. All those toys. Then when the movie came out in 1986 and they killed off most of the major characters, they conned us into buying new toys with our hard earned lawn mowing money. This evil greedy franchise HAS to be stopped!!!
The thing that annoys me about a lot of this "character retconning" and saying that they're "unrealistic" or whatever... Blonde girls with blue eyes and natural hourglass figures, actually exist!! I am not an unrealistic body standard, and I'm sick of having my favourite characters over-written for the sake of wokeness
@@RaidenShogun.. Sure, and then the rest dogpiling them, calling them homophobic, and making genuine threats till they are forced to either apologize or delete the post/account
That was one of the reasons I left the MHA and Harry Potter fandom. They go feral if you don’t agree with Draco+Harry or Bakugo+Deku. Haven’t gotten into Genshin yet, but I really want to play it.
@@AbnormallyOnlineI don't mind chill people who ship those characters for fun and don't lose their heads when someone disagrees with it. The ones who claim those pairings are healthy, normal dynamics when they're obviously not, harass anyone who disagrees with it or likes straight ships, and obsess over the head canon identities to the point it's nauseating and creepy are the absolute worst. I'm not big on anime or Harry Potter, but I get so agitated when I see these gen-z humor styled video compilations of one or two characters plastered in rainbow flags, titled "So and so being a bi-icon for four minutes and twenty seconds gay!" and has all these gross girls and beta males ogling over who's the top/bottom and making daddy/mommy jokes. I see it a lot when I'm looking up Disney movie characters for drawing references. Poor Wiggins from Pocahontas. 😂
It's an old trick, when you're a really small minority, to try and gain more power you should try to get a larger minority to incorporate you. When you look into the whole "woke" stuff, it's just that repeated multiple times with many groups actually hating the entire thing and not being blind to it. It's a literal shit show. Woke use to have a meaning but now like so many movements, it's just been hijacked by a tiny minority that hates everybody else and wants to control everything.
This is BlackRock, George Soros, the democrat party, and China behind this, and they are trying to force behaviors. If you think this is a bunch of fools behind this then you are gravely mistaken. We will lose because even if you boycott, they own every company out there. "Abandon all hope."
It was inevitable anyway, most of the entertainment industry has been getting replaced by more modern forms of media for decades, and so to save money they fired all the talented people ages ago and instead replace them mostly with the cheapest people they could find. The cheapest people are usually from gender study courses, since their only other career path is burger king or gaming journalist, and the latter is self-deleting too.
I'll never understand the obsession with "top surgery scars". Is this some kind of fetish? Why can't you just make the avatar in game your desired sex, since it's fantasy and you can be whatever you want anyways? These people are incomprehensible....
Short answer yes. Long answer, absolutely without a doubt. Joking, but seriously. Its why "trans nonbinary" is such a common thing. These people, these immature children are so desperate to be anything interesting that they latch on like a parasite to anything that could possibly get them that attention. And being online which tends to be very left leaning, being a victim means being oppressed in some way.
Yeah, I've literally seen a FURSUIT with "top surgery scars" If you want your character to be male, make it an actual male!!! plus, it's an animal... normal animals don't have breasts.
The Owl House is general is pretty woke. There’s a non-binary character and gay couples or whatever. They don’t really push anything except for the ‘coming out’ scene but that’s it. Really the fandom is the worse part where they headcanon 16 year olds being trans and drawing fanart of them with surgery scars. It’s gross
As a straight guy who enjoyed the Owl House the fandom is really bad I was part of a dedicated group where I’d simply posted memes I never entered the headcanon fanart/fanfics or even the posts about members coming out as gay because *I* knew I’d get called every phobe and cist under the Sun, one person even blocked me because I simply corrected him and gave him a piece of trivia that he didn’t ask for on my own post too, aside from that the group was fun I got commissioned to make certain greens screens and improved on my video editing skills until they started bringing JK Rowling into the mix (Hogwarts Legacy was coming out at the time) trashing the HP franchise even though the Owl House takes some inspiration from Harry Potter and after the show ended the group turned into what could’ve happened if season 2 hadn’t been cut short or season 3 getting a full season the fanfics and Art were still there of course but then came the extremely heterophobic posts it started “innocently” with Belos do to him being a Christian and the villain of the series but then came the “mental disabilities” post such as Luz having ADHD, Alador being autistic and Gus’s “disability” was being straight the comments on that post was a complete war zone that the creator of the post had to turn off the comments later deleting it after that more heterophobic post calling straight people evil even having members message other members privately about their sexuality I’ve been messaged by 2 members during that time one of whom ended up blocking me after I told them I was straight the other assumed I was Ace because my relationship status was single even though I told I have a crush on a girl they didn’t believe me and they kept prying asking me if she’s real what’s her name and where does she live what’s her phone number if I have it, I told them to F off because it made me worry what they’d do to her if I gave them that information so I unfollowed the group, 2-3 months later a member that commissioned a green screen messaged me on what happened to the group I asked what they’re talking about which they responded that the group was gone they couldn’t find it anymore on their shortcuts I assumed that the admin deleted the group or someone reported the group and it got deleted I’ll never know and honestly I couldn’t care less, met some people in that group who I thought were cool only for time to show me their true colors
@@roboticturtle8822 JESUS oh my god I remember the headcanons especially. I remember people made willow black and would get genuinely upset if you didn’t draw her a certain way. They made Amity trans and if you said anything about it you would be called a bigot transphobe.. whatever. There was this guy on twitter who i kinda knew because of the fandom, but he made a video giving all the characters headcanons and such. ALL the characters he hated were cis and straight. big surprise there. I feel like if you were cis and straight people would mock you. Cis Het people, especially on my little group were basically villainized, while they made all the other characters gay and trans. It was a common occurrence to see Hunter with top surgery scars despite being only sixteen years old, while also being a clone of a cisgender man in the past. They also make fun of white characters a lot. Amity was mostly the center of this along with hunter. they’d constantly race-swap them to appeal to their headcanon, which is stupid because headcanons are supposed to be like- filling in the blanks for characters. They all have an established race, so what’s the point in changing it? Everyone also claimed that the character was fatphobic and racist because of willow and gus respectively. Since they made Willow more fit at the time jump, and not giving Gus enough attention (they didn’t change his hairstyle until the time skip either and people called that racist as well???). The fandom was horrible, man.
The Umbrella Academy Vanya's "becoming a man" was the following up of the actress, Ellen Paige, declaring she is now a "man" called Eliott. Actors used to go through changes to play a charachter with more fidelity, now it is the charachters who have to change to adapt to the actors, it's entitlement level 1000.
Canned response : "But the writers wanted to do that. They agreed." Truth : "Nah. The producers and executives told them to be okay with it, and to take a knee." Kids these days truly don't understand how vicious that industry is, and how creators are being forced, practically at gunpoint, to pretend they are okay with changes. Notice how Oda demanded reshoots and because he was a co-producer they had to comply, but not before complaining about him on the set of One Piece. If he wasn't a producer, and just licensed the franchise, GUARANTEED they would have changed everything and forced him to say he agrees.
@@valeriavitale1290it was incredible. I was scared before I heard Oda came in ex Machina and stopped them. I remember live action Death Note which was made by Netflix, I thought live action one piece would be like that. why do people expect these fictional princesses and fairies to be realistic to teach children about a realistic body when thats what a parent should be doing??😭😭 like why are you relying on a show to teach your kids this when its a parents job..
Sims wokeness is pretty crazy. Character creation is so obtuse. You can choose whether your character can get pregnant or make others pregnant and whether your sim uses the toilet standing or sitting. Normal people categorize those things as male or female, it's not that hard.
and you have to select pronouns for your sims or they’ll be called “they” automatically. so fucking annoying and often i accidentally click the wrong one and my male sim is now “she/her”.
Yeah, I slowly lost interest in Sims. And it used to be my favorite game too. Instead of improving the gameplay mechanics and putting more fun gameplay options in the game, they seemed way more interested in all the weird inclusivity things a small population of the fan base wanted in CAS. I don't really respect that choice.
I would only like choosing if my Sim can get pregnant if I was making a vampire. I like the idea of vampires having to reproduce the "old fashioned vampire" way--by nibblin them necks. In very rare instances can I believe an undead body either fathering or mothering something, given it's dead. Van Hellsing made that interesting, though, by making them born dead. Lol, what were we talking about?
Lady with vitiligo: Hi EA can you make it so EA: No. Guy in wheelchair: can you make it so a sim can be disa- EA: No! Me: can you make it so sims can have pacemaker surgery sc EA: No! Lady with vitiligo: But we want it so sims can have vitiligo. Because I have it. Guy in wheelchair: And giving sims disabilities like being paralyzed like myself will make the game more realistic. Me: And I have a pacemaker and adding pacemaker scars- EA: *stomping like a toddler throwing a tantrum* NO NO NOOOOOOOOO!!! LGBTQ stuff is more important!! Go away transphobes!!! Me: *sighs* Ugh you used to be such a great company but now Lady with vitiligo: now you’ve gone full woke, and are greedy. Guy in wheelchair: You suck EA!
There was never such thing as black nobility in Europe at the period of time cause there weren’t that many known nobleman and ladies of African descent who live in England, Prussia(Germany), Spain, France
3:06 Divorce Lawyer: So, Mrs. Mouse. If I am to understand you, you want to divorce your husband because he's... extremely silly? Minnie: No! I said he's *fucking* *Goofy* !
It's very apparent in the furry community that people want to be "trans" more than they actually want to be the opposite sex. Hence romanticizing cutting off the chest and displaying the scars wherever they can on the characters, even making **adoptables**. It's insane to me that people consider that makes any female less of one just for butchering what is secondary se* characteristics.
THIS!!! Like cmon can I atleast have a feminine adoptables? nope artists go out of their way and be like 'Look at my top scars guys :3" ugh. its so tiring.
This is like Dylan mulvanie idk how to spell it he just makes fun of woman while cosplaying as them and labels himself as trans when all he does is mock actual woman and enforce stereotypes
This is a good point in regards to the Trans issues at large today. I feel like so many folks caught up in this want to be Trans almost as fashion or a lifestyle.
Ethnically, I’m mixed race, Japanese, white, and black. The Assassin’s Creed one annoys me because the developer, Jonathan Dumont said in an interview “we couldn’t identify with a Japanese character, so we replaced him with a non-Japanese one.” That’s what’s truly racist, not the backlash against it. I think Yasuke should have a game. I don’t think that he should replace a Japanese character in a game set in JAPAN.
Woahhh Japanese, white and black!? That's one cool mix! How'd that happen, if you don't mind telling? I'm Italian, Argentine, Finnish, Danish and with a hint of Swedish which is quite the bizarre mix to say the least
How those actors didn't die of laughter and cringe from that scenw talking about the patients pronouns is beyond me..... Also, totally realistic. Having a medical issue and we take time to sit and talk about the patients preferred pronouns.... Pure narcissist right there. Thats all the nonbinary people are.
Imagine if that patient had been in front of Dr House. "Oh, so you have a preferred pronoun. And tell me: do you have a preference between being dead or alive? Because if you don't let us do our _job,_ you'll end up the former." Then House realizes his threatening tone and rolls his eyes smiling : "it's not a threat, it's an observation."
Ellen Page in Umbrella Academy is a great example that very often these days actors don’t conform to their roles anymore, the characters bend to whoever is playing them. Ellen Page is trans, so now Vanya is trans even though the comic book character isn’t. When what they should have done is cast a new actress who fulfills the criteria for the role
That Genshin Impact one is very similar to my problem with the Undertale fandom. Most of them will get mad at you for not agreeing with their most random headcanons which is one of many reasons why I avoid the Undertale fandom (they’re also just very messed up… ;-;)
misha you probably would enjoy jinkx's work if this channel wasn't your 'work', that quote says it all. what a boring perspective you have on what is and has been good.
Doctor Who is one of the most history rich television shows and the fact it's being treated the way it is today is absolutely disrespectful to not only the legacy of the show, but to the British culture.
Same with lord of the rings. It was a love letter to olde England and now it’s just being treated as shallow representation, it will never be truly ours again
I love doctor who but fuck did I want to throw up every second I had to look at maestro. And I'm ngl the baby episode was kinda wack. Only thing keeping me in is ncuti is a good doctor and the girl with him is straight and hot and boom was good but yeah idk it all sucks now
I started watching Doctor Who in the '70s as a teenager ( American here...the local PBS channel aired the Tom Baker episodes)..the doctor was a quirky adventurer, but he was always a force for good. I didn't watch it for decades until I found some of the David Tennant episodes on DVD in the Walmart clearance pile....those were fun to watch. Haven't seen any of the newer ones yet, so I really can't comment...
10:48 How ironic I actually searched "Grey's Anatomy woke" on UA-cam LAST NIGHT to see if anyone had talked about it. It feels so forced and makes me cringe
There's a quest in the game World of Warcraft that's very forced LGBTQ. I had to do it once in order to level my first character to level 70 but I skip it for every other character.
It's not just forced, it's outright dangerous, some conditions can be related to biological sex and so if there is a time in their lives that they need to get over themselves, it is when they are in front of a doctor. If there is a field to not be pushing this nonsense in, it is literally healthcare.
I’m an almost 45 year old woman, sometimes I look at the world around me and wonder exactly when it went mad. I’ve been watching your channel for months now and you (and my kids, cause I raised them right!) give me hope that all is not lost yet. Bless you for sharing your sensible eloquent , educated and thoughtful comments with the world.

the steven universe scene where the character explaines that social media isn't just about appearances but about identity, is pretty scary to me. Why is social media promoted like that and what for? Social media can be a tool for businesses, but other than that it's simply another addiction. Online identity is superficial and identity is so much more than following trends. I really hope that one day we will wake up from this strange reality we all got sucked into and I wish for a future where children at least have a childhood without it.
I thought I was the only person who noticed this about the corrupted cartoons. In most of those cartoons they don't only promote alphabet, but they also promote crippling device addiction for children. KEEP THE DEVICES AWAY FROM THE CHILDREN!!
What year was the "blacks cant marry whites" cartoon? I remember being in Catholic grade school in like 1991 and a kid talking about the previous episode of the TV show "Roc" where a white guy married a black guy. We normalized ALL this stuff in the 90s. Ellen coming out, Roseanne's lesbian kiss, interracial marriage, etc. 10 years after that we elected the mixed race (de facto black) president. Why do these people insist on living in 1965? Conservatives are always accused of being obsessed with wanting to return to that period of time but it seems like it's the other side that is determined to remain stuck there.
Yeah, I am conservative, but I dont mind lgbtq people and I wouldnt infringe on their rights, but I dont agree with the people who think there are more than 2 genders and think that there is chocolate gender or bee gender or soemthing...
They want a perpetual state of that old-timey hardship/oppression so they can have an excuse to never finish "coming out". They want it to stay as fresh and provocative as possible to ensure they continue receiving special treatment from society at large.
Also, there's a difference between a mixed different-sex couple 👩🏽🤝👨🏻 and any same-sex couple. I don't believe it's fair to make a false equivalence, or to have laws such as the "RFMA" that lump the two together. I also believe that one can be in a mixed couple without being woke and/or a leftist.
Movies and tv shows are no longer seen as "art" or entertainment" but instead are merely vehicles for modern day propaganda, and even sometimes to spite the audience. Best thing to do is watch the classics or just flip the tv off and enjoy the outdoors.
Some the biggest victims of DEI and the culture war... redheads. You can see a whole host of older characters who are redheads and have been raced swapped; MJ Parker (Spider-Man), Ariel (Little Mermaid), Kid Flash (The Flash), Jimmy Olsen (Superman), April O'Neal (Ninja Turtles), Starfire (Teen Titans)... I could go on... JUSTICE FOR GINGERS!
This absolutely. Also fair warning, this is a rumor so don't take it as absolute fact, but i have heard people saying that execs at Disney were serious-joking about this exact phenomenon
I really liked the show Sex Education, it was about British teenagers navigating the drama of school and relationships. Obviously, as the name suggests, it was about 'sex education' and centers Otis giving advice to fellow classmates since his mom is a licensed sex therapist. I liked the first season a lot but the last season it went COMPLETELY off the rails. I mean... take any scene from the last season of Sex Ed and it felt like "how many queer identities can we have on screen at once". The main character, Otis, is a 'white straight male' and the whole plot of the last season really was to make him out to be the villain. New characters literally tell his best friend (who is gay) to second guess why they are friends just because they have different sexual identities. Incredibly disappointed.
I haven’t watched Sex Education since the first series, I couldn’t get past how a show set in Britain that had the aesthetics of an American high school. It was just too weird for me as Brit to watch but to be honest, the storylines were decent 😅
Worst thing was the big pay off was to raise £10K so that the American girl could get her breasts removed. And this was done like it was a good thing. Did they not realise that they were showing the ridiculousness of it all and how corrupt ‘scientific studies’ are leading to corrupt people getting huge payouts for removing healthy body parts
dude the last season of sex ed is actually insane the show was always pretty left leaning but it wasnt in your face that much but the last season went off the rails crazy wokeness
I'm unfamiliar with the show, but I'm disappointed that a Sixpence None The Richer song ("Breathe Your Name") was licensed to the show. That song played on Christian TV!
Well, I live in Asia and nearly fainted when I saw the opening scene. A 16 year old girl stark naked bouncing on a guy. It's funny, at age 12 they won't let that girl take herself to school but somehow by 16 she's already experienced, has all the lingo , and is a sophisticated sexual being. . the implication being that they are having sex much younger than 16. Yet as children, they can't be given the simple responsibilities I had. By age 7, I took my sister to school before myself and collected her later. I had a house key. I was expected to entertain myself and do my own homework and keep my things neat. And have formal manners. I saw a woman saying she sometimes books a night in a Travelodge to get away from constant interruption by the kids. I didn't interrupt my parents as they relaxed. Watching tv meant "be quiet" or you missed it. Or I played by myself. Now children have no identity. There's just is no childhood anymore

Hold up, Alex Hersh wanted to put LGBTQ+ stuff in Gravity Falls? Yeah, now I'm very glad Gravity Falls was made in 2012 and not 2024! Honestly, I never really thought the two cops were gay, they were just two very incompetent theater kids is all.
As a Gravity Falls fan, I find it SUPER annoying how people keep saying that Dipper is "trans" while being a male in SECOND GRADE or Mabel is "bisexual" while she's boy crazy. Like, can't yall just leave these 12-13 yo alone?? I also like The Umbrella Academy, and just to confirm, Vanya is a cis-female in the comics. Last thing I wanna say is about this show called "The Owl House", I personally used to like it at first until the Luz and Amity love relationship thing. It's supposed to be a Disney kids show, with CHILDREN from the age of 7 watching, and then there's just 2 girls kissing each other every like, episode.
This is why I switched to anime/mostly watch older media. You don't have to put up with so much wokeness in your entertainment that way. It also annoys me as a Tolkien fan when others ask me why I haven't seen Rings of Power. I heard the acting/ lore accuracy sucked too so its not just the wokeness.

Then in season 4 the writing really started to change to support the "current times" one character just randomly becomes a lesbian and all the cops in NYC now want to defund themselves and "do the right thing for the community". The episode that lost me was when they had their LT. (Terry Crews) Get stop n frisked in his own neighborhood, by officers from his precinct, because he was black. Like "sorry boss didn't know that was you haha". Netflix recently picked up the show and I found it very funny they only got the first 4 seasons because the last 4 really went off the rails with social justice lol
Not my favorite game Genshin being this w- nah. The community is FILLED with the wifi password people and it’s insane just how much they’ll fight over race and sexuality of, for example, Scaramouche who’s a PUPPET and not a human. It’s insane.
I've had to stop playing trackmania. There is simply no option for the car to have legs like me. Loads of wheels, but no legs. I can't identify with my car anymore.
The Umbrella Academy one is an example on how your real life choices, like Ellen Page transitioning to Elliot Page, can affect your job, and the people around you. "But, ooh, it's just a self-expression" It is not.
I started watching the umbrella academy when it first came out, I LOVED it. When I heard about the transition and how it was gonna affect the character, I quickly stopped watching it. I can’t stand it when I’m watching a show and they push woke shit on me. It’s ok to be trans, but cmon. 🙄 they made the character like it was, if you can’t do your simple job and play the character write from the beginning, you are a terrible actor.
@@ZenMonkeyGodwell, if Elliot feels better as a man, it’s his life. He is an adult who takes his own decisions. I liked him better before the transition but if he feels better right now, who am I to judge another person’s life?

I hate it when people try to say "so you support genocide and murder?" Like of course not but i dont need to publicly state my opinions on politics nor do i need to talk about it.
This is exactly why I love Anime so much. Pretty much all of instances where anime goes woke is when the western localizers add politics into the dub, but you can just watch the sub instead.
I mean fair enough unless you know Japanese just read the subtitles because 90% of anime dubs are horrible even today the only decent ones are from Netflix
Here’s something about that, manga and anime by extension have always been extremely diverse in story telling, you can find common “woke” talking points in manga from 40 - 50 years ago, newhalf/okama/transgender characters have appeared in manga for decades with no issues, boys love and girls love stories have always been and are still some of the post popular genres. Why is that? Because manga isn’t one thing. A lot of people see it as a singular entity that only pumps out the big anime you see like shounen but that’s just the surface. One of the greatest things I ever heard about manga was from a documentary years ago that was about manga and they summed it up as basically; there’s manga out there for everyone, there’s manga about old people romance, about office workers, about construction workers, about gambling, about high school life, about war, etc. for example, if you genuinely want a story talking about transgender characters in a positive light there’s a bunch if you just dig deep enough, either directly focusing on them narratively or having them as characters in the story. But the west doesn’t want to write stories. They want to preach at you to prove how morally good they are. Manga is just a story told by a teller. If it’s good it’s good, if it’s bad it’s bad. The main benefit is having usually around 1 creative working on it, that being the author. One person with an idea and that’s it.
For me, I like watching k-dramas from time to time. I don’t feel like I’m being preached when I’ve watched them but where there is diversity, such as the Korean speaking Indian character in Squid Game, it doesn’t feel forced.
It reminds me of the wonder woman and nebula stuff. Nebula being wonder woman's black sister or something and acts like she's from earth In the early 1600's. 😂
@@shyfoxfeatherhere6446 You really know this stuff XD Wonder Woman is a DC character, and Nebula is a Marvel character, so they are totally different. I think you are referring to Wonder Woman and her ally Nubia who is indeed black. If they are described as sisters, it's not a biological link. Both are Amazons (warrior women from Greek mythology, so before the 1600s), and they aren't blood-related; it's just how the Amazons treated and called each other according to the myths. Nubia has existed as a black character since the 1970s, so her inclusion is not a woke thing. ;)
Really random but I’m excited about the black samurai BECAUSE my boyfriend is black and Japanese, and loves studying/participating in many martial arts. It’s a very small minority of people but it DID happen and sounds cool and I know he’ll be so excited to see that
As a fan of South Park, I find it INSANELY ANNOYING when so many people in the fandom would headcanon Kyle as trans even though he’s literally a 4th grader. (He’s also around 10 years old, the more you know 🌠) And it’s not just Kyle specifically that gets this headcanon, I’ve seen people headcanon Stan to be trans, Kenny, Butters (all because of that one episode he dressed up as a girl named Margarine), Wendy (again, where in one single episode, dressed up as a boy named Wendyl), and I can go on and on about trans headcanons on fictional children with no evidence to back it up as long as I want. But I just find it concerning when people would put these types of headcanons on only the child characters and NONE of the adults.
Also Hogwarts Legacy game. A central place, 3 broomsticks tavern is run by transgender. If you listen carefully the dialogue between main character and this personage, you'll find out, that she was a boy and became a girl. Later in game you will find letters from students that thank her for inspiration. Why we should know this in main plot line...
This is why shows like “The Boys” and “The Bear” are amazing shows that I’m sooo excited for their new seasons this summer. “The Boys” pokes fun at the corporate DEI bs when it comes to their gay characters (Maeve is an awesome character- and when she comes out as bi, people exploit her personal life and try to force her to be an “icon”). And then “The Bear” has a super diverse cast, but without making it the main focus of the show. I hope their new seasons remain consistent with their stories & true character development and that there’s no pandering.
The Boys is _extremely_ woke. They blackwashed a character, they present male fragility seriously, all enemies are racist or litteral Nazis. Just because it makes fun at propaganda doesn't mean that suddenly it's not propaganda.
Also, if they're meeting a real person anyway, they will see realistic body proportions.. If anything, it's an opportunity to demonstrate that. Sh*t makes no sense. It's just meaningless and superficial virtue singling everywhere now. No real logic or anything.
4:42 Genshin Impact player here. Here’s the thing about Beidou and Zhongli-the region they’re from is based off of China. Each of the regions of the game is based off a different real-life area of the world. One is based on medieval Germany (Mondstadt), one is based on China (Liyue), one is based on feudal Japan (Inazuma), one is based on medieval India and Egypt (Sumeru), one is based on steampunk France (Fontaine), one is based off Russia (Snezhnaya) and according to leaks, one is based off of Aztec and South American culture (Natlan). Each region is extremely reminiscent of its inspiration in its geography, its lore, the architecture it has, the characters from that region, and the developers pay so much attention to every little detail. There are also characters who are darker skinned, even if they aren’t black. Xinyan has brown skin, Cyno and Candace are both tanned, Iansan has dark skin. But the characters’ skin tones match with the cultural inspiration. They don’t just make characters black for the heck of it.
How dare you say this!!! Everyone should be black because it's all caused by white supremacy!!! Also, if you disagree, you're super racist and banned from Woke Culture!!! *screams angrily*
Sumeru isn't just India and Egypt. It has a major Persian and Arab inspiration too. But that still means the characters being mostly pale makes sense unlike what Twitter wants
I like books, it's been hard to find high fantasy books that aren't pushing the agenda. If a main character isn't openly gay, then we need a "they/them" to balance things out. At a minimum we apparently need to make commentary such as: "I saw Edwin out with someone, they looked more than friends." "How nice for him." "His friend was also a man." "What's wrong with that?" 🙄 Beating a dead horse.
Worse, most high fantasy novels are written by women (I have no problem with female authors, just the unrealistic romance) Not to mention I agree with the constant gay stuff.
@@markmunroe-hz8rfAaah! Yes! I _detest_ romance. I can handle it as like a minor subplot, but I really just want action, and adventure, in a fantasy world.
@@AdelardRen this is why I prefer Robert E Howard's Conan. It's set in a fictional era called the Hyborean Age, a lost antiquity era. A mix of historical drama, action, fantasy, horror, humor. I think it's funny that they made Stevonni nonbinary. That character is literally a fusion of Steven and Connie that they only do for a few minutes to become stronger. After that, they defuse. They're also love interests so like them being together is non binary?
Thank you for clarifying that. It's been ages since I watched Steven Universe (my adult daughters introduced me to it, when it was still new). I was getting the impression that they turned Steven into a girl/gem. The bizarre thing is that the gems have no gender. They are rocks. They just happen to look a bit like human females. They don't procreate. They grow from gemstones. Now, I never did see how one of them managed to procreate with a human - perhaps that got answered later in the series - but we had a very powerful gem that fell in love with a human male and gave up everything to have a child with him. Then her friends took on the job of rearing her child for her, with the father still very much in the picture. What an amazing, affirming message for motherhood, family and friendship. Oh, and Steven was homeschooled, too, and no one blinked an eye about it. (My daughters were homeschooled) Not once did I see anything where gender was anything other than what people happened to be - and the gems, being aliens and rocks - didn't have gender and procreated completely differently. So... now I don't know if I want to catch up on the series or not.
Ignore all the silly ads that they've made with the characters, and don't let the (slight? 🤔) push for wokeness towards the end of the series dissuade you. It was one of the best shows (animated or otherwise) that I've ever seen. I watched it as a nearly 40 year old guy, and I loved it and teared up, even, several times throughout the show. It's extremely disappointing that they try to retroactively make it more woke and annoying than it was, but for the actual show that it was, it was amazing.
Steven Universe is not that woke and I will die on this hill. It's not too forced as other shows. Yea, I agree it's weird that Stevonnie is NB. But that was never mentioned in the show. It's basically an official headcanon

It's so sad that's now forever embedded in an otherwise awesome show just to enable her insanity. I used to have such a mad crush on her when I was a kid 😅
Misha didn't include my comment on her post about how BFDI and II have become extremely woke, so I'll just summarize it here. Battle for Dream Island and Inanimate Insanity have always been liberal and woke, but in recent years both have become extremely woke! BFDI now has 2 non-binary characters in it's latest season The Power of Two. JacknJellify has been promoting pride month and LGBTQ+ stuff so much in the past few months too, it seriously seems like they're pushing it down our throats. On Easter Sunday, JacknJellify uploaded a post showing that Flower and Firey, two fan favorite characters, were trans all along even though we've never seen any pronoun changes and we all know JacknJellify never intended for Flower and Firey to be trans when the series started back in 2010. The H twins are literally making their characters suddenly aligned with LGBTQ+ and saying they always were that way even though they were never that way. II has had non-binary characters for longer but I'm more focused on what happened to the people who disagreed with AnimationEpic. AnimationEpic said that they're diverse and inclusive of other people's opinions, but when Bow's old voice actor was found to not be woke, she got fired. That is the essence of what happened at least. Oh also, the Bot arc in season 3 was kinda overrated, but mostly because in the direction AnimationEpic took it in. Bot finding out that Bot is not actually Bow but in fact a robot to look like Bow was great at first, but when AnimationEpic turned it into a non-binary acceptance story things started to get out of hand. Of course, Bot was eliminated soon after because Bot being "non-binary" was only a way for Inanimate Insanity to give Bot "character development". Bot supposedly finished character development after becoming "non-binary". Now, obviously robots are not boys nor girls, but using "gender identity" as character development is just lazy and it's not an excuse for humans who do in fact have a gender to be "non-binary". I've watched both BFDI and II since 2012, I grew up with both shows, but now I don't watch both of them as much because now they're so woke and so pushy about LGBTQ+ ideology! D:
I was one of the people who commented about How To Train Your Dragon on your community post, and I can't get over how stupid it all is. Those movies/shows/books are one of the biggest parts of my life and it's sad to see them stoop down to Disney levels of low. Astrid was race swapped, I'm certain Fishlegs was as well, and Ruffnut is being played by an overweight girl who looks NOTHING like the guy playing Tuffnut... Y'know, her *twin* brother. The saddest part is that there's a clip of Dean DeBlois a couple years ago citing live action movies as lazy and the like, but now he's doing the same? I used to look up to him. Hell, I did a presentation on him in 8th grade saying he was my inspiration to become an animator, but then he resorted to this.
Witcher should be 100% Slavic mythology. Look what has become of it. HALO series and the Master Chief are more Slavic with mentioning of Ras Kocka, Visegrad, Veles's Net (Slavic deity)

Great video Misha! Advance warning: there's a whole lot of vitriol coming up here. There's a whole lot of willfully ignorant people who are given all the power in the world because they fit checkboxes and/or say the right things. There's no real intelligence behind their work. There's no real talent behind their work. There's not the slightest bit of thought behind their work. The modern business practice for so many industries that are supposed to be for fun and relaxation involves putting people in charge who know nothing about the products they are making, encouraging if not outright requiring them to learn nothing about the Intellectual Properties they're working with, and then telling them, "The fans of these IPs are morons, the IP is stupid stuff for morons, and it is beneath any of us to learn anything about this IP. Just make whatever you want, we'll shoehorn it into this IP, because these morons will shovel money at us for any product that has their favorite logo on it, no matter what it is." This is the only thing that explains choices made with legendary entertainment franchises like Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, and others, as well as legendary game franchises like Tomb Raider, Dungeons and Dragons, and Warhammer 40k among others. It is absolute crap with willful ignorance making the most ignorant decisions and hiring the most incompetent people and hemorrhaging money going broke and effectively robbing their investors. And they are too certain that they are right in spite of masses of evidence proving otherwise to realistically examine the situation and determine what the REAL problem is, and instead they blame the 'morons' who they expect to shovel money at them just because they put a loved on an awful . So they make it worse by insulting, demeaning, chastising, and berating the fans, expecting that to make them change their behavior. Look, *expletives deleted*, we're not your spouse who has been so horribly abused that we'll do whatever you say just so you won't hit us again (though that is absolutely how you are treating us, all the while calling US toxic? Please. Your gaslighting gets you nowhere anymore). Instead we are people who choose for ourselves what to spend our money on, and if you're not giving us the fun and relaxation we're asking for, we're not giving you our time or money. And yes, I am old and very much still of the punk mindset I developed as a teen in the 1980s. It has done me good service throughout my life, and it can always help me identify self-serving bullcrap almost immediately. These holier than thou "progressive" morons are putting on morality plays focused on what they consider moral and trying to prevent anyone with a differing opinion from being able to speak, just like it was the effing dark ages again. Screw you. I didn't fight against the "Moral Majority" in the 80s to surrender to you useless twatwaffle jackwagons and your unholy crusade now. Y'all can burn in your own fat.
The How to train your dragon franchise is an absolute masterpiece for all ages. It's already one best franchises out there in terms of being "accepting" and "inclusionary" in the more traditional and healthy sense (not pronouns or stupid stuff like it) , but they do it in an actually nice way, where you don't really think about it, and it's never shoved in anyone's face. The main focus is on amazing storytelling. It's so sad that they're redoing such an incredible series. It could never be as good in live action to begin with, and definitely not when they're focusing in on the DEI stuff.
Exactly. It makes me happy seeing vikings get accurate representation within the media, and it sucks they’re making astrid black and probably going to make Hiccup a non binary gay drag queen and Toothless a trans dragon. Ridiculous.
In a way, "fixing" the Genshin characters is similar to blackface... ALSO! Rick Riordan is a great example of wokeness in literature. In Percy Jackson, it was perfectly fine. Heroes of Olympus featured a variety of different races, but that was fine. One character came out as gay and that was also fine. But I drew the line when I read Magnus Chase. There was a "genderfluid" character named Alex Fierro (who got kicked out of her house, naturally) and of course she had to date the main character, who's confused is sexuality now that he's dating a "genderfluid" person. Keep in mind that all these book are catered to MIDDLE GRADE.
God, I remember reading Magnus Chase because I loved Percy Jackson in, like, seventh or eighth grade. Part one was alright but Alex confused me so much that I had to put the book down. Never picked it up again. I’ll just stick with PJ and HoO.
"Transgenders don't want to erase your sexuality". Meanwhile they write stories where main characters are confused because, OF COURSE the notion that gender is fluid erases sexuality. If you can become the opposite gender just by deciding so, OF COURSE your loved one has its sexuality changed! I had the case in my family. A cousin of mine suddenly started saying she's a guy. She was dating a guy. So that guy became homosexual. Without his consent, obviously.

I wish I could have grown up back then instead of in this clown world. A lot of the tv shows I watch are actually from decades ago. But it would have been awesome to see them as their aired and never have any of this trash to think about
The Ring of Power makers probably saw and read Token instead of Tolkien and said, "Let's do that!!!" And we saw what happened, with season 1... to know a season 2 is coming... SMH.
The character I relate to the most in all the fiction I’ve ever consumed (which is a LOT, mind you) is an 800 year old gay Chinese man. I am a 29 year old straight white woman. It has nothing to do with his sexuality, appearance, or ANYTHING that superficial. It’s who he is as a PERSON. I think character matters more than anything in storytelling, and what they’re doing is completely removing CHARACTER and replacing it with superficial stereotype. No one can relate to that because no real human actually lives as a stereotype.
Gravity Falls actually handled any sort of LGBT stuff they did have in it very well. They just treated the characters like normal people instead of drawing all this attention to it. For example, I’m pretty sure that Sheriff Blubs and Deputy Durland are gay for each other. But the way it’s portrayed is so cute and so funny and it doesn’t take away from the show’s immersion or anything like that. It also did a great job with the feminism and the masculinity stuff. Such a great show.
Mabel's _clearly male_ "girl" friend was really cringe though. To think he had sleepovers with girls is just unacceptable to me. But it's the one thing I disapproved in Gravity Falls.

I'm a cis girl and I've related to both male and female characters because we share personality traits, conflicts, etc. So I agree with that.

Joking, but seriously. Its why "trans nonbinary" is such a common thing. These people, these immature children are so desperate to be anything interesting that they latch on like a parasite to anything that could possibly get them that attention.

He was spared seppuku on account of being a foreigner though
Now let me ask if his master aswell as his masters household all died
Who sold him

Brooklyn 99 was one of my absolute favorite shows. Honestly I don’t even watch some of the newer tv series now lol
anime and old tv shows and that’s it.
Wow, I didn't know that! That sounds so forced!
“Fixing” those Genshin impact character is saying it’s wrong to be White and Asian… insane

And then “The Bear” has a super diverse cast, but without making it the main focus of the show. I hope their new seasons remain consistent with their stories & true character development and that there’s no pandering.

I like books, it's been hard to find high fantasy books that aren't pushing the agenda.
If a main character isn't openly gay, then we need a "they/them" to balance things out.
At a minimum we apparently need to make commentary such as:

"How nice for him."
"His friend was also a man."
"What's wrong with that?"

I think it's funny that they made Stevonni nonbinary. That character is literally a fusion of Steven and Connie that they only do for a few minutes to become stronger. After that, they defuse. They're also love interests so like them being together is non binary?
I genuinely don’t understand how STEVONNIE IS NB ?? the design psychology is just “steven but big girl”
(My daughters were homeschooled)
Not once did I see anything where gender was anything other than what people happened to be - and the gems, being aliens and rocks - didn't have gender and procreated completely differently.
So... now I don't know if I want to catch up on the series or not.

Any time someone changes the race of a character they are announcing that they are racist.
I don't care if people are gay, but if someone mentions anything about pronouns, it immediately makes me not want to deal with them.
I care, if they ram the fact they are gay, or anything to do with their sexuality, down my throat.
