Groundation @ Musiques Métisses

A legendary Californian group, Groundation has built over the course of its albums a singular sound, Spiritual Roots Reggae, a subtle blend between roots reggae and jazz. From Bob Marley to Miles Davis, via
Burning Spear and John Coltrane, the group's influences are varied. The committed texts, nourished by Rastafari philosophy and militant pacifism, are carried by the particular voice of the “Professor” Harrison. Their latest album, Building an Ark, released in 2012, has already established itself as one of the group's best. The live ones, real moments of communion, gently bring the audience into the mystical universe of Groundation.
