Im not sure if they are still in the island but they were the first people who organised awareness for the local people and teaching them to be whale spotters/guide intead of hunting them. I was there a few time between 1998-2003 and looking at the your videos the island is still pristine and same the last time i was there. Btw i worked for a local travel operator so i was able to see pamilacan and balicasag.

yeah i just realized from another video that they're staying longer than 30 days so i assume they got a visa. if i get a visa do i still need to have a outbound ticket purchased ahead of time? i heard the philippines can be pretty strict about that

you dont need visa but there is a no. of days stay that you need to get to the Bureau of Immigration, check blogger Christian Leblank's post im sure he mentioned it in his post, (i think it was) how to travel the philippines, Leblank knows regarding the visa issue and

It's recommended that you have an onward ticket. Immigration officers may or may not check upon entry to the Philippines. The airlines are actually more strict. Airlines may not allow you to check in to your flight to Manila at your port of origin if you don't have an onward ticket. Airlines are apparently penalized if they are found to allow passengers to board without an onward ticket. Onward ticket doesn't necessarily mean a return ticket to where you originally came from. Most visitors without a definite departure date just try to get the cheapest ticket to any nearby destination i.e. Hong Kong, Kota Kinabalu, etc. If you're definite with your dates and will be staying beyond 30 days, it's advisable to obtain an extended visa prior to departing .
