Agree on all points. As I think maybe Captain Slug once said, in nerfing you get to think like an engineer and play like a kid.

I've always loved the "get out and play" aspect of this hobby. I think that's something that big companies, small companies, and individuals can all agree on.

I would also like to point out that humans have a natural instinct for combat, regardless of ability. I remember watching a quadriplegic person playing Mass Effect 3 multiplayer solo with a stick in his teeth and doing remarkably well. We like to fight, we like to dominate, and we like the feeling of winning. Being able to do this without hurting anyone gives a healthy outlet for those aggressive qualities. Through foam projectile sports, even if you can't run, are a poor shot, and have no combat potential, you can still do battle and have fun. Not everyone is a born warrior, but when you've got a blaster in your hand, you can be one.
I'm impressed with how you've taken a proactive role in improving the hobby. With many of the architects of the hobby leaving, there's a gap in leadership of the entire community. To see people like you step up and not just lead, but mentor others, is something our society is severely lacking. You bring a maturity and enthusiasm that will bring others into a healthy and entertaining outlet for all the negativity we experience every day.
    Well done, NNN.😎👍

Foam flinging also changed my life. New friends. Staring a new playing field. Meeting new people. Having a blast with my children. The nerf community is incredible with a lot of friendly people. ❤ From Denmark!

I've brought my college and gaming buddies into the hobby, along with several friends from work and their families. I only discovered it myself two years ago, and wondered where it had been all my life. I'm in my fifties now, and blasting like a fool.

Thank you sir for this video. I'm 62 years old and disabled. I got into Nerf about a year ago. I never had many toys as a child as we were poor. I now have almost 100 blasters. I mod them to give them more power and range just for myself. Springers and full size darts are my favorite but I also mod flywheels. It's just something I love to do and hang up on the walls in my shop. Again thank you for your channel and God Bless.

Nerf modding in particular has been a blessing in my life, it gave me an outlet for creativity and taught me many useful technical skills I would not have had otherwise.
Glad you found this hobby as amazing as I have 😄

yeah during lockdown actually I decided to collect and mod nerf blasters. recently I dragged my dad to a war and he's the "I'll sit this one out" guy. but I convinced him to play and he enjoyed it so much he ended up buying a bunch of stuff.... we now attend the wars monthly and I've been teaching him about the hobby. Nerf helped actually rekindle my relationship with my father properly. Just wish that "it's a hobby for kids" stigma would go away so more people can try and enjoy it.

I couldn't agree more with what you say in the video. As I told you, I played (and hope to play again) airsoft for a long time and it was for the same reasons you mentioned because you didn't start me in this hobby. For reasons but ale sy of country I haven't played for a while and it's in the blaster universe where I found again the same reasons why I played airsoft. Camaraderie, physical training, relaxation, meeting new people, etc...

Another point i like to bring up is that its the most legal projectile based sport in terms of ownership. I live in government quarters (aka the barracks) where rules are not controlled by me. Most places that i've been to do not allow legal ownership and storage of airsoft or paintball at these places. Otherwise, they have to be stored in an arms room. Its a pain in the backside to go through coordination with an armorer just to pull your own airsoft or painball guns. With nerf, these rules do not apply. Weather its HPA, CO2, flywheeler or a monster springier blaster, its all good. Even for the public, in some cases countries are way more restrictive on airsoft or paintball in comparison to nerf.

    Agree completely.
I used to play (and referee) Airsoft, and we had a wide range of player ages. (The youngest I remember for sure was 12 (with parental permission, of course), and the oldest was (I think) in their 50s or 60s.
We also had a player who had an artificial leg. He did just fine.
Nerf takes all that even further.

My journey from nerf started in 2001. Played for 3 years but at that time The Blasters that we have today didn't exist so we didn't have much as far as anything hitting Beyond 150 FPS that didn't cost you $300.
So I got into paintball which is a little more hardcore ,did that for maybe 2 years but having limited Fielding and the cost to play on a field wasn't worth it that much anymore.
2009-2016 started playing Airsoft for the first time I liked the feel and the realism of the AEGs Airsoft had to offer plus here in California it was booming at the time so there were plenty of fields to go to plus a lot of hidden areas you can play out of the public view. When that new law SB 190 or whatever dropped about replica Firearms back in 2013 it kind of ruined the hobby for all of us. I stretched it out another 3 years and finally called Airsoft quits
During the start of covid it was hard being locked down especially on the weekends not having much to do, went through the storage busted out with my old Nerf guns from the early 2000s. Start researching online and whoa Came Upon the dart Zone MK 1.1 which was my first new competition foam flinger. The half length Dart era started for me right there and ever since then now I have a game face trion, strife x, mk3, Dart Zone Outlaw MK2 omnia, Nerf perses and I'm waiting on the new Nexus Pro X.
