I know everyone is saying Tamika Scott played Milay better, but I actually really love Trina Braxton's version of her character in this version, because she acted like herself (in real life) and delivered the characters portrayal in her own unique way. It may be an unpopular opinion, but I think Trina Braxton's version of Milay was equally as good as Tamika Scott's.
I don’t think Di’ta Monique who plays Sarah was in full voice this performance. She can really sang. She can hold a note as long as D’atra Hicks and can hit super high and low notes. She’s been doing gospel plays a long time. If you youtube the play Momma I’m Sorry song I can’t take no more ,that showcases her vocal ability a lot better.

Im curious - what does everyone think about Will and Sarah’s songs? I usually like most of Tyler Perry’s songs because they have meaning and good lyrics but both of their songs seem very rushed and boring.. definitely nothing I’d wanna watch twice.
For Sarah's song, I think her interpretation of the song was different than Joyce Williams. To me, her performance was more of a prayer than a song. And in that regard, I think she lost an opportunity to showcase the vocals she her. I don't think it was terrible, but it wasn't great either. Since watching these clips, I'm not to keen on her portrayal of Sarah.

OK so after watching Joyce’s performance. I feel like the young woman that did it in this Version was dealing with the track and couldn’t do as much but I think she also was making it more theatrical than a ministerial moment. I think Joyce took the opportunity to make it a minister moment not only for the play but for herself I think that she took on the song as it was her personal testimony. When the other young lady took it on is the characters testimony when you’re playing a character you sometimes go over what you’re supposed to
Why did they change the characters . I seen another version on bet plus and that cast was so much better . Tamika Scott killed it as Malay and the duet she did with that dude was amazing . Tracy should have stayed the side chick
