Yeah, he was hugging that rake - pretending it was you! Quite the performance and at first I glanced and said what the h is he doing, now! But hey, he was happy since that was a LOT of dirt to move (and alone too) but he got her done! This is what all those pieces of equipment mean. QUESTION Mrs. B, can he move out on the dance floor like on that dirt floor? Take care! Sonny (CT)
I just want to say thank you so much for your videos. I retired out of the Navy a couple of years ago and bought our first tri axle dump truck and have been running it. But was alway afraid to get into the dirt work. So this is our 4 th season and this year we are starting. You videos are truly inspiring and very knowledgeable about what you do. Thank young for that. By watching your videos it’s helped my wife and I make this decision. I’ve been around the equipment in the navy seebees for my career just was not sure what to do when I got out of the service. Keep up the great work sir.
I’ve played Air Guitar, Air House Broom and Air Shovel. Shoot, I even dated an Airhead once. But, I’m gonna have to add Air Garden Rake to my repertoire. You’ve given me a whole new inspiration!!! The job was nicely done form start to finish. Love your humor and most excellent videography!
Great video as always! That sand is nice stuff. Easy digging and back filling on this job! You still have it like a 20 year old with the leap and rake guitar!
Hey, 'show off'! You got those machines down to a science and very well trained. Nice work, alone, lots of soil, angles, grades and just the right amount of product. Seems like you've done this before! Thanks BG-DB! Sonny (CT)
Amazing that in your area you seem to have lots of almost play sand to dig in while others on here seem to have clay every where. Here at my house the baseball/softball sized stones count almost as many as the grains of course sand in between them.
Yeah it's crazy how the soil content changes from town to town in our region.. I do like that though because it changes it up and makes different resources
I want some tickets for the next 🎸🎸🎸⚡⚡⚡🎸🎸🎸concert, maybe you could show Dirt Perfect so moves from The Dirt Boss , awesome work some beautiful country man mother nature doing her best with the fall colors, thanks for sharing my friend take care stay safe god bless.
Dirt Boss Masonry & Excavating , wow , I had no idea that it could take that amount of time . I thank you most sincerely for all that time and effort .
Omg to think I always put a bucket lightly on each connection point on our drainage so it doesn't get pulled apart back filling. Why don't I run it on the opposite side of the berm outside the trench. Idk I never thought of it.
Can you tell me how you bid these jobs and what all goes into it? I just got some subcontractor opportunities with backfilling and grading and I only have a skid steer. Can you give me some advice on how to price these jobs and to efficiently do them well with my piece of equipment?
I always wonder how the guys that spray the tat anticipate what the ultimate grade is going to be. Also, is it not necessary to compact the backfill around the foundation?
I usually tell the tar guy where to put it I leave a mark on the wall.. No you never compact against the wall just let it naturally settle It won't settle much being sand.. You don't really want to put too much pressure on it if not necessary
Omg!! If anyone missed it go back to 17:12! He is My Rockstar!! 😁
LOL I knew you would like that ! 🎸
@@DIRT-BOSS You guys are so cute!
Yes, indeed. Reminded me of Mr. BoJangles in the "The Flim Flam Man" with George C. Scott when he was kickin' those heels so high!
Reminded me of The Matrix

Well I'm glad I could help Charles !
Sweet job. I wish our dirt was that fine down here in the Texas Gulf. We got Mud!😵
Yeah it's not like that around here in every town we got all types of dirt
Hello Albany from Plymouth MN
Hello And thanks for watching!
You got it going on there dirt boss you must be a spring chicken to jump that high and play your guitar on the way down..good job.
LOL No no that's just a character DIRTBOSS !
I`m putting in my two weeks to come work for ya!
Let's go where you live? Haha
Why is all the ground black around where the well was drilled?
That is the slurry and bedrock
@@DIRT-BOSS Interesting, thanks!
they are putting the house on foundation before pouring concrete in basement?????
Yes normally we never do that but this is a penalized home and it's scheduled to be set that Monday
Great videos. In one of your other videos. You said your trailers registration is in Maine. Just wondering why. I live in Maine.
A tenth of the cost.

Dirt Boss Masonry & Excavating do you ever wait until the joists are on so it has some support when you’re backfilling?
@@omgitzzyou1 Yes usually I'd like to wait till the beams are in.. but usually we bought a floors before the deck is on.
Do a video on all your equipment
I have one hang on a second
ua-cam.com/video/g1zcWUr_JbY/v-deo.html
Did this building pad pass the compaction test first time around before we dug the footing?
Yes sir
Dirt Boss Masonry & Excavating....that ground packs way better than I thought it did. Thanks for the reply.
Is that a tilt blade attachment for your bucket on the skiddy? If so how do you like it, we have a kubota svl95
I like it a lot it's a game changer for the skid steer
@@DIRT-BOSS Awesome to hear, i figured it would be!
What brand is it?
@@Hondacr250kid It is a FFC Paladin
The bends on the pipe are leaving the pipe stressed. It will crack. Its just a matter of when.
Don't know what you're talking about the Bends.. That pipe is very flexible it's not glued pipe
Wish I was doing this to bad for being retired
Yeah i hear ya... Thanks for watching
👏👏
thanks
Looking good. Would you buy another Kobelco excavator and if not, what brand would you buy?
Yes I would buy another Kobelco possibly Komatsu
I would have made under the grage a nother room.
Got to stay in budget All that stuff cost extra money big money
Was the site sandy or did you bring it in specifically to backfill with it?
No the whole site was sand
@@DIRT-BOSS Gotta love those days. Easy on the operator and the equipment
@@dowjones9663 yeah everything runs at an idle super smooth
Tribute to EVH
Hell yeah!!
been there done that...your compactor is way to light for the job and the lifts are way to big as well...Remember you asked...
Thanks for your thought.. I beg to differ I get compaction tests all the time.. this is sand !
Mike looks great but who can afford 3 pieces of equipment mobilized for a backfill/grade? Building contractors here wont pay for it....
I hear yeah I bid my projects on lump sum so everything's always included in my package makes my job faster and more efficient.
