Come Dine With Me takes people who are experts in the art of giving the perfect dinner party and puts their skills to the test. All are great cooks and excellent hosts - but they're all very different. So, if one person's perfect dinner party is another person's evening from hell, how will our hosts cope with a whole week of each other's hospitality?
Each night for a week, one of our hosts will throw a dinner party for the others. They all have their own unique styles of cooking and entertaining, but they're all determined to impress, because at the end of each evening, the guests will give their host a mark out of ten. The host with the most points at the end of the week wins £1,000 pounds. Come Dine With Me has expanded to a variety of formats including singles, couples and celebrity specials!

When I was vegetarian 30 years ago people, when they found out, because I didn't make it a point, would get almost get violent about it, f**king wierd.
subconsciously projecting their deep down guilt about eating animals. because to eat an animal is to say your life is more important to sustain. so youve got to confront what kind of person you are and that makes most people angry. just my ideas lol

Ensalata Caprese is a famous well liked Italian dish that is a lot like what she got. It's a normal vegetarian starter.

The host took offence to her not liking it and then made a joke about her dietary choices, and then proceeded to be nasty to her for the rest of the evening. If you think his response was in any way justified, quite frankly you need locking up.
@@EdwinschuurCome on he made zero effort even if it is a famous dish, it was a bit of plain lettuce, a beef tomato and some mozzarella slapped on a plate, his intentions were clear, he wanted a reaction from her from that get go.
This reminds me of those people that don't take allergies seriously, and end up putting peanuts in a person's food as a "joke".

I used to be vegetarian back in the days when it wasn’t popular. My ex was a major carnivore. People used to dish up meat dishes all the time. Most of the times I just went without dinner etc I didn’t really mind at the time because I was a minority. These days I see hosts going out their way to serve vegans etc Looking back I can see I was treated with so much disrespect 😢

Had no idea I'd react so intensely, but I couldn't help it. People don't understand that it's a moral, ethical stance. Sure, some poeple simply eat a plant based diet, to them it's about healh or about telling people they're better than other people. I’m a meat eater but I also have friends that have food allergies and intolerances. Anyone that comes invited to my home for a meal I make sure they are welcome! That is also catering to their diet! I love cooking and have learnt fantastic recipes that all my friends enjoy together that caters for everyone!!
