Former KwaZulu-Natal police commissioner released on bail

Former KwaZulu-Natal police commissioner Mmamonnye Ngobeni and former police captain Ashwin Narainpershad have been released on bail in the Durban Magistrate's court. The pair face fraud and corruption charges, related to police accommodation during the 2010 Soccer World Cup. On Friday, Durban businessman Thoshan Panday and former police Colonel Navin Madhoe appeared in court for the same matter.
