Is this what compassion has come to? A poor, confused woman mocked for her love and devotion-would they have acted differently if they knew who her son was?
This older, yet wise lady taught her son well. It would be easy to sue and have our tax dollars foot the bill for the ignorance of these officers. But instead they were given an opportunity to reshape their mindset during their reassignment duties. It’s so much bigger than this beautiful older lady’s story. It’s the realization that people can CHOOSE to do better and spread love rather than hate if they really want to. This may not work for everyone, but little by little we can break down those hateful barriers and make love & compassion the forefront of our society, leaving HATE to be the outcast. We have a very long way to go…but I, like many, many others have hope.💙🕊️💙
