Pilipinas instead of Perfida I think she could have been in the top five finalists that time and would be a worthy opponent of Portntip of Thailand who won the title. She was so queenly and had regal bearing just like Chat Silayan. I really don't until now why the judges that time missed the opportunity of winning her instead.
Daniel Odono I agree with you. Most of the time the judges in the bb pilipinas were so stupid in their decision. For instance also in 1986, they were so stupid in choosing Violeta Naluz instead of the beautiful Alice Dixon for bb pilipinas universe. Same thing too in 1993, instead of choosing Ruffa Gutierrez, they choose Dindi Gallardo to compete in the miss universe.

Also, the contest is called Miss Asia Pacific, meaning it includes countries in Asia plus the pacific rim. If you know your geography, Canada has a Pacific coast.
