We Took The Ladies Bass Fishing At Roodekoppies Dam (Couples Fishing Challenge)

- This challenge is a heater due to our competitive nature needing to win. This challenge is the first one I have ever had on my channel.
This challenge was held at roodekoppies dam during the December period where it is uncomfortably hot and the summer bass fishing is extremally difficult to catch. Even though the hot summer conditions or standing our way for the four of us we still managed to catch bass. We started the challenge at 7 in the morning and we gave ourselves till 3pm to catch bass and hopefully those big bass.
James and Chrismari where on one bass boat and Nicola and Myself where on my bass boat. After blast off we went our separate ways to try and catch bass. The wind was blowing in the morning made it difficult for myself on the trolling motor but we landed five bass in the first hour of this couples challenge. The second spot didn't produce any bass. Third spot held many bass but no big bass where caught. Nicola and myself fished hard to try and catch that big bass. After hours of fishing and moving around roodekoppies dam, the day was done and it was weigh in.
We weighed our fish and nicola and myself weighed 1,99Kg and james and chrismari weighed 3,1Kg. This was a tough day for the both of us. We never got those big bass to bite.
Other then that we had a blast at roodekoppies dam. It is always fun catch bass even tho no big bass bit.

Lekker video, I would like to hear what is you top lure you throw to search for fish? I guess I'm asking what is that first lure you tie on. Enjoy bro😁
Thanks for watching man, I really appreciate it. So the lure I throw first is depending on location. For example when I fish witbank dam I use a lipless crankbait first just to get a bite. Then at roodekoppies I will use a jerkbait or a swim jig. Ummm Rust De Winter I'll throw multiple different lures. GNU valley and African Blessing i will start with a frog to see if I cant get that thrill of getting a blow out. If I could recommend one lure......For me has to be the stick bait. So it can be fished weightless, and you can let it sink and dead stick it or you could let it sink for a second or two in between twitches, another way you can us it is as a jerkbait, let it sink for a couple of seconds and just jerk it all the way back. A texas rig is super simple just drag it on the bottom, or you can flip it around cover like trees, grass or even reeds. The last way I would fish it is as a wacky rig, super easy. Just let it sink to the depth thats necessary and just twitch it back with two to three second pauses in between twitches. Sometimes these lures don't always work and I'll need to change things up. So the conclusion is to just know the venue your fishing at.
