I have many of these people in my classes (I’m kind of one myself), but to anyone who relates to the other girl, how do you think the “smart one” got there? Luck? Mostly, NO. People like me, who are considered smart, have to work hard to get there, study, listen, ask questions, don’t fool around. If you waste time, you won’t get anywhere in life, you’ll stay jealous. So, work hard, reach the “smart kid’s” level, surpass it. Then you get to be the one others get jealous of. “To hell with being just average” is what I say, and this is why I work hard, why my parents love my report cards, and why I’m seen as smart.
So true and some teachers actually discourage me to slow down since I'm drawing a lot of "attention" coz I'm sometimes smarter than them ( like is that even possible 🙄 ). Now I don't even like studying, but I will still continue to study coz my new goal is to be smarter than the teachers 😂

But in India, at least confined to the school where i studied, after teaching each topic, students are encouraged to ask questions if almost everybody ask various questions, the topic will be taught again. If some TOPPERS are asking questions their doubts will be solved too. But if there is only one person who is asking questions for so long, then it means others understood but he / she didn't and requires more time to be taught, the teacher would say let me complete the nxt topic , you come to staff room to clarify your doubts. Nobody in my class cares until it's a genuine question. Most of the time they also get the view of different perspective of topper and how the question will be asked, in my opinion we saw it as a mutual benefit. If they asked silly questions and it is time consuming, they are Just an attention seeking personality. It is fine to be that way but not at the cost of others time And ofcourse others would get irritated. Even the teacher would get irritated. At the end of the day they want to complete the designated portion for the week right
