    I don't want to be hogging the space here but I do want to say this is a good start on what needs to become a much more sustained and snappier social media campaign. This one is like saying; "Hi. Look! We are still here you know, even though the mainstream media is ignoring us."
    It would be great to see you make some quick 'shorts' to drop on here and other platforms, responding to hot issues.
    The 'Party of Government' (Labour in name only) has now confirmed that economic growth eclipses net zero.
    There is an honest battle to be had, on that very ground.
    That puerile slap down about pylons that Starmer uses, every time a Green MP speaks in Parliament needs, to be challenged.
    They won't give you a chance to develop the case in Parliament. The online forum is the place to come and make a noise.
    The problem is finding the time and the resources to do it.

      and the tragedy is, after all they've thrown under the bus for economic growth
      It looks like they won't even get any noticable economic growth. What a mess 🙁

      I wholeheartedly agree, I am absolutely eager to learn more about the Green Party’s response to many issues and it’s a shame that the only way I can learn about that a lot at the moment is through the press releases from their website

    I really felt something with the clips at the end of you guys working with communities - if you pushed how much you work with different groups, like how you're on picket lines or the gaza protests or just working locally, it shows and proves how much you care, unlike reform who claim they care about ordinary people

    Thank you for launching this, I really would like to hear more about Green Party views on current issues, especially in regards to nature which is so ignored in the political sphere. I absolutely look forward to the 2nd Reading of the CAN bill tomorrow, if anything just to try and have a vital scientifically led civil discussion on climate and nature issues that politically has not been achieved thus far I feel.

    This is a good start. We need short videos of Carler Denyer like this going viral on every social media platform. The left wing populist rhetoric needs to be stronger though if we want to defeat Reform.

    Good to see - we need something different. Bit surprised that only Adrian Ramsay's info is on the screen and Carla Denyer's is not. Also the statements pasted are taken down too quickly for many people to read. But I am a Green and happy to see this. 🌱

    Please could you offer the younger generations hope with policies like:
    rent controls (caps set by local councils)
    land value tax (say over start at 500 acres and bracket it upwards so small farmers dont get angry)
    Nationalise water companies
    carbon tax on datacentres
    devolution of levying taxation to regional / unitary authorities
    Progressive wealth taxation
    Council tax burden placed on property owner (per bedroom) joined with rent controls rather than on occupier
    Establish local branches of BOE insured municipal Banks (so can offer equity release payments for properties that want to insulate / retrofit their homes) to invest in SMEs
    End austerity by reintroducing local council grant funding
    Please and Thank you xoxo

    I hope someone from the party reads this- you have my full support but your coms/promotion is absolutely terrible. You need to be doing much more of this content and on more platforms with more humor. Reform is getting literally millions of views on TikTok and twitter and you haven't got a thousand on this video- you need a more aggressive promotion strategy.

    Please reconsider your stance on nuclear. Net zero is basically unachievable without it. I've voted green multiple times especially in local elections but the anti-nuclear stance makes no sense

    • @pm84798
      @pm84798 17 годин тому +2

      Bro it's more expensive (2-4x) than renewables, when it goes wrong it's a calamity and it's much much harder to have a community owned power station than wind/solar installation 💚

    • @originalflimflam
      @originalflimflam 13 годин тому

      @@pm84798everything you've said is true but we do already have the infrastructure to generate lots of nuclear power- also it's a sticking point stopping lots of people from voting green so should be addressed.

    • @Kelebora
      @Kelebora 10 годин тому

      @@pm84798 You can't say its "2-4x more expensive than renewables", when renewables is such a broad term. Its more expensive than onshore wind, but cheaper than offshore wind, and it will get much cheaper if there are more reactors, you just need to look at energy costs in France to see that. As for its safety, even including the deaths from Chernobyl and Fukushima, wind still kills more people pet terawatt hour of energy generated than nuclear does.

    • @pm84798
      @pm84798 9 годин тому +1

      @originalflimflam how about neutral? No opposition to nuclear the concept? Just if asked, why is a specific project a good use of taxes (I actually think vibes just needs to be cooler and more fun, have you read road to Wigan pier? Even though greens are the only ones who want to help we don't have a populist enough image)

    We need policies that support a declining population. I'm fed up of politicians chasing endless growth and population increase.
    Reducing populations reduce energy and food demand and thus reduce carbon emissions.

    I love the Green Party but I really think you need to hire a better PR team. This video was sloppy and boring. Get some shorts or tiktoks going, fight the culture war on the front lines. Hearts and minds are being won by the likes of Trump and Musk because they play the games that the left doesn't want to.

    Carla I really do hope you listened back to your recent video on Politics Joe and realised how out of step you are as a party. To say you’ve made one video this week like it’s an achievement was pretty embarrassing. Ed Campbell was trying to get it through to you how and why Reform are killing you at the moment. Please consider why. Try and be as visible as they are. I don’t want to hear an excuse that traditional media won’t give you the air time. Everyone has platforms to get their messages across now, please utilise them. We need you to guys to make the effort to be heard!
    I hope some of this is taken on board. Wishing you the best of luck.

    • @nkonig1

      87 views in 42 mins at the time of posting my comment. That really says it all doesn’t it. The party of change and a better alternative could really utilise new media to it’s advantage. Please do so otherwise you’ll continue to be irrelevant. Sorry if that sounds harsh but I feel it’s so important right now that this country needs a strong progressive party.

    • @markwelch3564
      @markwelch3564 День тому +7

      While I fully agree the message needs to be stronger, you do have to acknowledge that there's no billionaire buying the Greens aclient newspaper, TV channel or social media platform. It's not a level field
      So we're going to have to get stuck in and spread the word ourselves!

    • @flunkyminion
      @flunkyminion 22 години тому +5

      Fair points. Greens lack the sort of funding available to Reform.
      The main stream media platforms do not afford us the same level of exposure that they freely give to Reform.
      Lastly, the four MPs and the majority of the Green councillors take their constituency work seriously and work hard attending to their local issues.
      They devote a lot of time and energy to serving those obligations.

    • @nkonig1
      @nkonig1 20 годин тому +3

      @ that’s not going to win votes. Farage is never in Clacton and won. When the rules of the game are this bad you need to play better to get ahead. I’m not saying break the rules and lose your morals, I’m simply saying play smarter as the world isn’t just. Be creative in getting your message out there, spin baby spin! No one is going to buy your product if they don’t know what you’re selling.

      100% if we're going to end up with a populist in 4 years anyway I think we as the left need to start building a left wing populist to counter- even if we don't all ideologically agree with populism. I think you should start promoting Carla a lot more.
