Barot is a very beautiful place in District Mandi of Himachal Pradesh state in India . It is still one of unexplored valley in Himachal pradesh . It lies in mid Himalayan range of Chauhar Valley better known as Barot valley .Barot valley is blessed with thick cedar forest , two beautiful rivers and extreme natural beauty. Barot valley rivers are famous for trout fishing and is a paradise for angling lovers. Barot valley offers great enjoyment for trekking , fishing , nature and peace lovers. Also you will enjoy visiting reservoirs and British time old haulage trolley and machines in Barot which was build in 1926 - 1932 for Shanan hydel project .

Barot valley is about 155 KM from Manali and very beautiful place like Manali and Shimla . While coming from Patankot to Manali , Barot valley can be your destination between the journey to Manali .
Barot valley is more about nature rather than big malls and shops like Manali , Shimla and big hill stations .Barot valley is best for nature lovers and trekkers .
How to reach Barot valley in Himachal Pradesh :
1. By road: Route from Delhi will be Delhi - Chandigarh - Bilaspur - Mandi -Ghatasni - Barot (About 500 km)
From Pathankot, the route will be Pathankot - Palampur - Jogindernagar - -Ghatasni - Barot (about 206 km)
2.By Train : Delhi - Pathankot and then narrow gauge track from Pathankot -Kangra Jogindernag then by road to Barot via Ghatasani .
3.By air : Barot is 127 km from Bhuntar airport near Kullu. You can also reach Barot from Gaggal airport near Kangra, approximate distance is 97 km
Ghatasni is place where road to Barot branches off from NH 20 ( on Jogindernager to Mandi highway )
Barot is about 66km from Mandi and 40 km from Jogindernagar.
Public transport buses available from Mandi and Jogindernagar. Barot valley is one of most beautiful unexplored place in India .

I love Himachal .mai Barot vally 1985 me aya thaa. us waqt mai 13 saal ka thaa.Himachal waisey to bahut baar guma hu lakin Barot janey ka kabi dobara moka nahi mila.ap sub bhai logo ki video dekhker apney Bachpan ki yaad taza ker leta hu.
