- In this video I discuss my self made bee vacuum. This style allows you to place the hive body full of now framed comb from a removal after the job is complete to allow the bees to travel back up to those frames of comb.

Thanks for watching!
hi, am on the process of building one atm, we have designed my bottom to have a inclined board to let the bees crawl up easy...
Yes not a bad idea. Just be careful of how close the ramp is to the inlet. You don't want the incoming bees to smack into the ramp on their way in.
Hello I subscribed cheers
Thank you!
Kyle, great job my friend! I really don't care for the bucket concept, it's definitely lighter. I think it's so much easier on the bees when you have the frames for them and all you have to do is add a box when you're done. I like how you seal it too. I was thinking about going with a suction reduction hole, now I'm glad to see that I don't need to. Do you have a link for the hose? Thank you sir!
Thanks Dan! Yeah it is my favorite design as well. Though I will likely get the "Everything Bee Vac" in the future for those odd jobs. As far as the hose, I will take a look and send it to you in a message. Though I doubt they have it on their website. It was one of those that you can purchase by the foot.
Why didn't you make just a bigger hose to the top instead of having the vacuum screw and glue. All you need is a good vacuum unit attached to a desired hive thru a nice exhaust hose. Simple and keep using the screen setup, lighter and easy to produce multiple hive at once without waiting a day.
My original design was like that. However, I find this setup easier as there are less pieces to it therefore less to carry to the truck, less to leak air from and more compact for tight places or when it needs to be hoisted to the eve of a 2 story home.
Also I can still do multiple hives per day with this setup. The vac portion comes off but leaves the screened top on the box. Normally once the removal is complete I take the vac portion off and place the box with framed comb above with the screen partially open. By the time I get home most of the bees have migrated upwards to the framed comb.
