Hi Chris. Thanks for the great info on the live stream. Great suggestion on Earn and Burn your miles. I thought I had enough to use my miles for business class and found out they raised the amount of miles needed to redeem. Next trip I will burn those miles on my next trip. Thanks again for sharing and take care.
Yes…A Marriott brand rewards would be helpful too!. I’m continually confused about when and where I can use points. Particularly there’s a feature called “INSTANT REDEMPTION” where you can use points towards things like on site valet parking, SPA, food/drinks at the hotel bar, BASICALLY ANYTHING YOU CAN CHARGE TO YOUR ROOM. But the fine print says only at participating locations 😕 …I was told those are usually “less desirable” locations …go figure. Thanks for all your content!
Thanks Chris for the video I used my SWA points only paid $22.40 for a round-trip for 2 tickets from Houston to Omaha to visit family and friends this was the first time I redeemed my points have a stash of miles for United hoping to use them for a flight to Scotland.
AVIOS BA MILES WARNING: We opened 2 computers (one was a Kindle) and ticked AVIOS on one for the same flight, our trip was from Gatwick to Cyprus, my friend's quote using AVIOS points was £250 more for the same flight! It feels a scam in by BA. I believe miles is run properly in the US just not in the UK.

I don't have any miles or hotel credit cards. My wife keeps telling me to get the Marriott one, but I don't want to pay the annual fee. I may get it? I'm thinking of buying gold in Asia (best prices). Builds points. Then selling it back at another shop around the block. I guess I lose a little. Downside is they buy it back in cash so you'll have to carry a few thousand around.
NO MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS unless you want tons of junk mail. They sell your info. I prefer to let miles expire.😂 Tip: if you call a new airlines and tell them you are say gold on UA, they will match it for the year. I did this with AA. Told them I would fly them more often if they matched my Gold level on UA. They did. Unfortunately AA is not convenient from SFO so I didn't fly enough to keep AA gold status. I used to vacation in Singapore almost every year, enroute to other locations. I love Singapore air. 6 trips later I found it doesn't count on UA lifetime miles.☹️
Sorry Chris, it's my fault that UA now includes spend. I had a territory of Western US/Canada. I spent $10K a year on last minute (i.e. expensive) flights to short distances up/down coast. It took me 60 flights to reach gold because of short flight distances. My product managers flew to Japan 4 to 5 times a year planned months earlier and spent less than $5K and would hit gold. I wrote to the President of UA and suggested they include spending so I wouldn't have to do 60 trips. I guess they listened. But it's so complicated now I don't bother to track my miles/spend. I just look at my miles, and if I have enough, I use them, but I don't play the miles/spend game. But like you, I'm Gold for life, so I don't care...😁

I have flown but account shows zero points !!
Can I let someone use my miles number so I can rack up points?
Not really... name is generally tied to your account.. so they can't really fly using your number
