- Annyeong! Another interesting video with my Korean family. I am going to share the day that we made kimchi (김치). Gimjang (김장), is the traditional process of preparation and preservation of kimchi, the spicy Korean fermented vegetable dish, in the wintertime. We do this every 10th month of the lunar calendar.
You will learn the proper way of making and fermenting kimchi with my Korean family.

When aunt says that it was okay that kimchi was salty at first.. I can relate haha.. When I first tried to make a kimchi it was too salty I almost throw it lol.. but then we just stored in the ref... we didn't mind it till I think almost 2mos. And we were shock that it got better, less salty.. (but it was still salty) lol but not like when we first made it. So this is the explaination lol.. I only learn making kimchi on maangchi vlog.. but I was always wondering how do koreans make kimchi in real life cause I fill like there is something speacial how they do it.. so now I know.. you have to mix chilli powder gradually... and mix radish and chilli powder first then add fish sauce for the chemical process 😄 thank you for showing this... very informative I don't like buying kimchi on store cause it taste commercialized.. bettee do it at home 😊
Well Maangashi do it really good too, and I think is almost similar but she add also rice flour and I have seen another Korean Ladies doing it too. But anyway it was lovely to see the the aunt and uncle! she deserves recognition and respect 👏👏
Sobrang nkakatipid tlga ung may farm kya kht andto na ako sa Manila since may backyard kmi nagtatnim tlga ako ng gulay like okra,kamote ,sili kalabasa ,alugbati luya ,malunggay ,kalamansi ung iba nlalagay ko sa bote ng mineral yan pinagkakaabalahan ko during quarantine now na nagmhal lht ang gulay no need na bmili npapkinabangan na nxt ko itanim ung chinese cabbage try ko sna mbuhay ....bgo lng ako dto at nkakatuwa ang buong family ng husband mo
I bought it in a can. I thought "how good can a bit of cabbage be?" But it was lovely! The sauce made it so good.
