You asked and Jeff Fischer responds. Jeff explores the inner workings of the Riot as part of the all-new @ArcticCatSnowmobiles Catalyst platform. More info: arcticcat.txts...
All the catalysts on the snow are test mules and pre pre production units. Watch the snow west video. It’s about a hour long. They say in there about how much stuff is still going to change before release.
And Where do you put stuff for a high mileage guy?? Like a 160 mile plus ride.. Things like bringing your own oil for Like Extra Oil? Tools, Safety gear if your alone in the woods? These New Sleds are so small they give up the ability to carry stuff and go the distance.
Yeah all new sleds have 2’ of tunnel with multiple companies making stage items for that space. So actually they end up with more storage then the old sleds.
2 stroke trail sleds are currently being dominated by Ski doo. Only one that makes a proprietary trail engine made to run at those speeds, temp and powder access.
Not too happy with cat. Blew my primary clutch my brother is blowing belts left and right and my dad has to order new clutch and they only offer the adapt for his 2016 high country at 750 for the bare clutch. Put some money into the clutching with what these things cost these days.
I think all brands are having quality control issues. Polaris clutches are also garbage, the new sleds are doing good to get 500 miles out of them if doing any spirited riding. Skidoo also has their own problems. Check out Muskoka Freerider here on UA-cam. They have towed or flown out a dozen new sleds this season. He owns a new Skidoo and a new Polaris and they're both broken down currently.
How about you fill the rest of us in on your hilarious joke we are all missing? Its a genius location for it and a necessity for those of us who actually put a ton of miles on a sled.
Was hoping to demo a new cat this year but ole ma nature is making near impossible. Not sure I will be a fan of the spare belt location, seems like alot of stuff to do just to change a belt, have all the plastics laying in the trail, lol. Hope it turns out to be a huge hit for cat!
When you brag about rubber of springs and removing 100ft of wire you do NOT have a technical innovation. The arctic marketing team must be dying trying to make these “innovations” something to motivate buyers to a dying manufacturer. Bringing a 600 only in their “new” platform LOL
That muffler looks like it weighs a ton
Bigger cans are cool
This thing is JUNK!
Muffler weighs in at about 87 lbs...
That wiring harness to panel looks as bad as a Chinese atv....

They have a new Atach system for storage. All the room you'll need.

Why does the belt drive look like a chain case without the cover?
It is the chaincase. But a belt.
Rogers like ok where’s my skidoo
Lots of room for a turbo….that should already be there.
See oil filling dripping oil all over belt drive
On a cogged belt a little bit of oil does nothing.
I am very excited for the new chassis
What's under this hood ???
Open hood .....realize it's only a 600 lol close hood .... do it right go buy a doo or a poo .....
I'm a fan of Arctic Cat 4 strokes....Catalyst won't be for me...😡 At best an 850 would do. I'll have to look elsewhere.
Lol. This guy talking about the spare belt location.... Wow

With new belts costing upwards of $200 (or more) I kinda like that location.
