I actually have a completely different idea as to what the infinite death loop is. Think back to the fight between Gold experience and Sticky fingers, upon being punched by GE, Bruno was filled with life energy more than his body could handle or process, and his consciousness left his body, an out of body experience. So give that ability a requiem upgrade… I believe the IDL is simply the requiem version of his life giving ability and upon dying (or perhaps even one punch would have been good enough, which would end up making GERs punch a one shot now that I think about it!) you are put into the ultimate out of body experience, that you’d experience infinitely, and as to where Diavolo is… he went into the river and then we don’t know what happens next, yes in his first of infinite deaths we see him grab onto a ledge the river lead to, or into a hospital that found the body… or was that simply his consciousness which experienced it. His body may very well have never been found and all his death is simply a product of his mind being filled with an unquantifiable amount of life energy as he died, a fading consciousness, being refilled with life only to fade again only to be met with more life, over and over and over and over and etc. On top of all of this, you could endlessly dilate the experience of and event over time to smaller and smaller degrees and eventually you could contain infinity in any parameter of time or space taken, in other words… all of his infinite deaths may very well have happened before he even hit the water…
Let's be honest, Golden Experience ability to separate consciousness from someone's body was just an Araki's fuck up that he had to write out of story, because GE had 3 different abilities (also damage reflection)
@@JanTft Nah he still has them, and if you’re referring to when Diavolo steps on the scorpion, you’ll be surprised to know that’s an anime only mistake, so that’s actually a David forgot
I believe stands are connected to how people live their life, and how they die their death. It's not jsut a power, it's like a third eye, vajna chakra, and alters their perception. This is WHY they go on into the afterlife, because the stand exists when your earthly senses have dacyaed. But that is also true for lesser spiritual powers. And for that reason Diavolo should only BE in the death loop because his stand(s) can "see" it. Only due to the nature of King Crimson, can he infinitely predict a tangible, and realized, future that goes against everything he did in life to protect himself. This is like reverse of waiting and simply to stop thinking. In death, Diavolo has this special purgatory, an obstacle, before he CAN be reborn and simply stop thinking, to find peace. His ambition is the camel passing through the eye of a needle. His paranoia is his sin, not worldly judgment like the crimes he committed but the guilty mind that lead to it. To be set free, he will have to forget his demons, the outsider murderers and accidents he was so afraid of that he became the worst of them. Doing that he became the opposite of Dio's justice, who GAVE UP everything he had in humanity with no guarantee of safety in his new powers. That is what men also do when they do good with no guarantee of returns, or go onto disster sites where they might save nobody but die themselves. AMBITION, is not a pathway OUT of that risk like Diavolo hoped for, but guarantees it. The mind swapping life energy is an allusion to all humankind being fundamentally the same, so they could kinda be reborn THEMSELVES as the other person they swapped into. It's a localized superform of empathy, where they forgot their own sins and gained knowledge of each others'.

Actually, Anasui is 25 in Part 6 and Diavolo would've been 43, that means he got Anasui when he was 18, Anasui could be Trish's twin brother, the same thing (spoiler) Weather Report and Pucci have
I never thought it necessary to drive into the lore or rather the mysticism of the Jojo universe to explain what Giorno achieve As of this arc, it marks one of the first instances where the threat and those who abide in it happen completely human. No ghouls or demi gods. No ghost entities or alternate dimensions. Even baby face was generated using genes. The requiem ability is probably the closest you get to otherworldly entities However, what we can see from SCR was that the flow of space and time went out of phase, causing souls to switch and abominations to be created from the misdirection Looking at Diavalo, his time erasure ability functioned to rob people of their inherent sensibility toward the passage of time. We describe Deja vu as being the registration of events happening in a different order within the brain. And we know that the mind sort of functions as a update to the codec. The hardware just becomes more acutely aware of stigma as it is introduced Jojo part 5 as ballistic as it was, took the boldest step in attempting to reconcile general relativity and the effect of solipsism. Put plainly GER robbed Diavalo of his main character syndrome. The reason why I find this approach bold is because we have to reconcile more elements to the plot than just moxie or determination. Something the main characters called resolve Diavalo couldn't simply skip past the flow of a river or whether a bee has its sting. He simply had the measure to register its effects in order to avoid them. Ipso facto, just because he felt strongly about his own resolve for evil, it doesn't compensate for the damage he takes from a full powered GER flurry. And with no investment in durability, his body succumbed to the damage one would take from such an assault. Much in the same way Kira's "carefree" life made him soft in Josuke's eyes This is a decent segway to my own interpretation of hell with regards to religious theming. Man being made from the dust and adopting physical properties within the domain. Which involve things like sheer force, regeneration, decay and so forth, the events that weigh on the body and soul are subject to the natural laws. Like gravity Then there are supernatural events that occur beyond our understanding of the domain, such as what makes entropy work or what kind of seismic forces cause an eruption. These are things that hold sway over the body, despite whether or not the events are remote. Your body adopts many of the same features as the earth below your feet. Without water you shrivel up, people accumulate boils and cists which can 'erupt', plate tectonics which give the same striations as stretch marks Why am I saying all this. Well if we are to assume that the world was brought into motion by these incredible forces, I am led to assume that human beings (as well as creatures and foliage) are the result of the ripple effect from those events. We are the dust of the earth reallocated to serve a purpose within a different period of time. Death, or at least your awareness of it, is the mind recapitulating those events as they have been displaced within your psyche Paradise lost and other tales which attempt to recapture what hell is touch on this. Who you were when you committed sin is literally etched into the atmosphere, being a weighted measure keeping your identity locked into the earth. And time, as it bowls over the environment, doesn't care whether at this moment, you live in a rent controlled air conditioned apartment. 600 thousand years from now, where you reside could be a desert or submerged 10 leagues below sea level What that means is that the conscience which is stuck here decimates the soul into various strands of being. And you have no agency, so you are in constant torment with no relief. And if what we are to understand about time is that it resets between universes, you will relive the trauma with no reference point to when anything was or what direction things will lead Trying this into what's going on with Diavolo. His psyche is hyper involved with sin, being the only one conscious of the domain as he manipulates it. That means that for every instance of displaced time, he spends a portion of it as an avatar being reintroduced to the effects of his misdeeds. It's kind of like hitting all the extremes of a roller coaster with no build up and forgetting the name of the ride immediately after. GER smacked up his body so thoroughly, that his body is coerced. Ali and Frazier, it was said that they took several weeks in hospital leading up to their recovery. If trained athletes take time to recooperate, imagine what it does to the mind to be hit by a staccato of GE's ability? It's not that Diavalo was sent to a fun house in the sky, his mind was lost to time whereby the religious addage goes "it would be better for that man to have a millstone tied around his neck and that he be cast into the sea" He would have been better off drowning. But not before he has to relive the horrors of bounce and crunch
I don't think infinite deaths happened here. If that were the case, Giorno would be the villain in this part, no matter how evil Diavolo was. My theory. When Diavolo attacked Giorno in the end, he saw the end result of killing Giorno. As long as he has this malicious intent, he remains in the loop where he experiences death over and over again. But if his intentions change, learning the suffering caused by death, his goal will not be to kill (Giorno). Without the killer intent to be nullified, the loop breaks and Diavolo ceases to exist/goes to Jojo Valhalla, whatever. I think GER used the concept of purgatory, not hell. Harsh lessons can be associated with a shonen hero, infinite punishment not so much.
If Diavolo stays in the loop, then after giorno's death, giorno will go to hell for worse than the loop of death, which giorno does to Diavolo, and most likely, not only with him, makes him the worst villain in jojo
it is actually astonishing how quickly lost me. It literally took one word where you to mention the backrooms, for me to decide 'actually im not watching this anymore'
i love these theory videos bc it makes my brain run to think of other ways to make a solution work a lot of them assume that the backrooms _has_ an exit in it. hermit purple & bastet might not even connect with anything, since there might not be an exit in the first place. harvest, beachboy, doctor wu, & wonder of u having incredible scanning range wouldn't help find a nonexistent exit. heyya's advice would be good for avoiding creatures, but not escaping, & king nothing might've met their match with a maze that has no exit strength, cream, & za hando could make a hole in the walls to travel through & oasis and diver down can go dive through the floor, but nobody knows where that'll lead, maybe you'll just end up in the backrooms of the backrooms. burning down the house & sticky fingers are useful for making little hiding spots, but when you leave them, you just appear somewhere else in the area instead of escaping the whole place of all them, i think tusk 3 with its spacial ability, and D4C's ability to literally just go somewhere else have a great chance of escaping the closed-off backrooms. but this is assuming this backrooms has no natural exits, but if it does, then yea all of them have a good chance to find it and get through it
@the man Then why didn't Bruno just teleport through a zipper, straight to the dog mosaic in Pompeii to get Coco Jumbo's key instantly? why go through all the trouble of sending Giorno, Abbacchio, & Fugo the long way? It's a pocket dimension that can be opened on any surface, and can be reopened from the inside on a nearby surface. It's not a hub that Bruno can just use to teleport to anywhere in the world, or to any dimension. The whole thing about the backrooms is that it's a weird sub-dimension. Obviously if you no-clip through the ground, you'll just be underground, no-clipping. But instead you're transported to this weird, musty dimension that there's no escape from.
The Backrooms has an escape called The Exit but no one knows how to access it and it can randomly appear to any Backrooms wanderer but it has so far only appeared to a grand total of absolutely no one. Also, finding out which jojo characters could survive Run For Your Life would would entertaining.
@@LordZombo BTD explodes the target, then rewinds time, wiping everyone's memory, including the user. Stone Free could help you escape the backrooms. And you don't even need the bs mobius strip stuff. Just stay in one spot, send a piece of string out always following the wall, and if it comes back to you, you know you're not at the outer wall. Pick a different wall and repeat till you get out.
That wouldn't work unless you were close enough to an exit. You basically ARE the string and the string is you so you only have a limited amount of the resource before it runs out. Granted you have a whole lot of that resource but it still isn't infinite.

Ghiaccio can probably just skate out of the backrooms. White Album is highly durable against monsters and the outsides of them are harsh in cold and White Album’s also keeping Ghiaccio protected from its own extreme cold.

There isn't just an escape. The Backrooms has to present The Exit to you. So far though its shown itself to no one. In the lore of the Backrooms, only Valentine has a guaranteed escape tool.
I would like to add an honorary mention for the stands that might be able to get out of the backrooms. High Way Star, same consept as harvest just with less numbers since it can separate into feet and go pretty far with it's speed and with the added (yet nerfed) ability of king nothing to smell really well
Late to the party, but that's not really how infinity works. Even when the stand's effect would end, that doesn't impact infinity - it DOESN'T end. Long before Giorno's death, an infinite amount of time would've already passed and would continue to pass. Hell, pretty much the MOMENT after Diavolo got thrown in the death loop, an infinite amount of time already passed. That's the thing. If infinity starts to exist once, that immediately implies it can never end, because if it can end, then it wouldn'tve existed in the first place.
@@holyroman6541 infinity isn't endless, it's more complicated than that. It's just basically time so long we literally can't calculate it anymore, maths answer to "how high can we go?" There is eventually an end to infinity, but it's an incalculable distance. That's why in powerscaling you can actually go faster than infinity speed, that being immeasurable. Or so fast time literally holds no relevance to you anymore, and once you to past that. Infinity doesn't mean anything as you've exited the flow of time in of itself
@@chimp1561 The type of infinity our minds can comprehend can be defined and is a specific number/group of numbers, and that/those are finite however the concept of infinity is in-fact an infinite amount of phenomenons.

It's a neat game, I don't know if there is a translation but you can use any stand & characters from all parts act as enemies and NCPs. Neat Game!
Diavolo isn't in a infinite death loop, I'm surprised no one caught such an obvious detail. After sleeping slaves arc you can see giorno giving the arrow to polnareff so he keeps it safe. Just like polnareff took arrow from Chariot Requiem making it Silver Chariot again, Giorno undid Gold Experience Requiem which in result put Diavolos death in stone stopping the infinite death loop. !!Stone Ocean spoilers below!! This also explains how part 6 ending happened and GER did not react because in my opinion even though not direct it still would've considered it as an attack on Giorno. Remeber what GER said "regardless of the ability"
Forgot early pasily Park giving you directions and thoth telling you where to go Soft machine deflating the entire backrooms Soft an wet stealing friction and turning yourself into a bullet going around at top speed
So no one is going to talk about the fact that D4C was not on the list of stands that could escape the backrooms ? Just kill a big enemy and teleport yourself using the space between you and the big guy you killed, and you leave the backrooms. It's just as simple as that 😂😂
One stand I think can escape is the world over heaven. He can overwrite reality so he can make it so he never was in the backrooms (I think that’s how TWOH works)
Interesting! I played a JoJo's TTRPG campaign where the main JoJo's stand, Nirvana, had a coffin that basically trapped people in the backrooms dimension.
WRONG. You out of all people should know that JOJO is all about DESTINY, not backrooms lol. That's why Rolling Stone was somehow shown in the final episode because it explains the core idea of Part 5 and how GER works. So, how? Let me explain. First, we need to understand the physics of Jojo's universe. In this universe, destiny cannot be changed. If you're destined to die tomorrow at 5.00 pm, doesn't matter what you do, you will die at that exact time. This can be proven by the power of epitaph (Doppio) and Tohth (Boingo) where the predicted future WILL happen no matter their actions. Second, we need to understand how King Crimson works. KC actual power is destiny manipulation. He can create a 10 second pocket dimension where he can move freely and not be bounded by destiny while everybody else within the range moves automatically according to their destiny. So, to those other people in that pocket dimension, it seems like the time was skipped. Once that 10 second period was over, the course of destiny shall continue and whatever KC did during that 10 second period does not change the future course of destiny. Now we can understand how GER works. GER is a requiem stand, meaning that his power is specifically designed to beat his opponent's stand power. In this case, he needs a power that can beat destiny manipulation. Obviously, the best power to counter that is the ability that can not just manipulate, but also change destiny. So, THAT is GER's actual ability. In the context of JOJO's universe which relies a lot on destiny, this ability is extremely broken. Now that we understand how GER works, we are ready to answer the question of what really happened to Diavolo. After GER negates KC's ability (since GER can also manipulate destiny), epitaph predicted that the future remains the same, where Giorno shall die. At this moment, GER said that he shall never reach that course of destiny and then he punches Diavolo and then killed by knife. Through that action, GER changed Diavolo's destiny to die instead. However, it conflicted with the original destiny (where Giorno was supposed to die instead) which then cause the death loop.
The World over Heaven countered Golden Experience Requiem perfectly in Eyes of Heaven. As Giorno prevents one to arrive to the truth while over heaven helps Dio arrive to the reality they want. As the Father gave the Son life he can also take it back. I take this game as a reliable source since Araki supervised the game’s story.
He's probably getting killed across a theoretically infinite number of parallel universes. Since you can really only be killed once and stay dead, Diavolo is most likely being transferred (or at least his soul is, since soul manipulation is a common trait between all Requiem Stands) to another universe every time he dies. So, theoretically, he could eventually reach the SBRverse by randomly dying enough times ( **cough** spoilers for Part 9 **cough** ). And this is a weird, anime-exclusive detail, but in the Stand card for GER, the fucking Golden Ratio can be seen in the background. So maybe GER is just using some weird never-before-seen form of Spin, or reverse-Spin. This makes some degree of sense since Tusk Act 4's Spin harnesses the power of infinity, and GER uses the power of zero, which could be considered the opposite of infinity. It's obviously not canon, but it's just a strange detail added by DP for seemingly no reason that has some interesting implications if you try reading into it.
how I and a friend have always put it is that diavolo has already died in that alley, but what's going on is that he is experiencing this 'infinite death loop' from an evolved form of the life energy berserk effect that we saw with Bruno. His brain is hyped up on so much life energy, he is experiencing all these deaths and 'never reach the truth' as his brain will never arrive at his actual death, he is experiencing all these deaths so fast, but to him its eternity.
I can see diavolo ending up in an alternate Italy and he's actually fighting along side the good guys against the new boss of that Alt time line And you can't kill the devil.....he exists in all religions and cultures
I hope you know that you cant escape the backrooms cause by no clipping into the backrooms or dying inside them in a certain way will just transfer you to other levels and since there are more levels than diavolos death count till this point kf time its good to assume that its almost impossible to escape so i think its the worst fate for diavolo, what he can do is go and stay to safe levels and use king crimson to kill entities that are escapable or try to find the mythical exit level.Stands that will make you really escape the backrooms are (golden experience Requiem, wonder of U, d4c , tusk act 4, sticky fingers, cream , made in heaven ,c moon and overall 4th dimensional stands that can wrap and change reality it self.Overall your video and theory was pretty good and i enjoyed the video, have a great rest of the day

Might've missed it since I was doing stuff while listening but I'm surprised Killer Queen BTD wasn't mentioned. Literally rewind time to before you entered.

Don’t forget dragons dream, although it was only shown in a combat aspect, the concept for the feng shui fortune pathing could let you find perfect pathings for all of the back rooms whether it be avoiding enemies or “luckily” finding the exit for EVERY BACKROOM until you find a way to escape
Well some rooms have no exit and also The Exit had appeared to no one yet so even if you thought of a way out, it's up to the Backrooms itself to appear to you.
@@kilzfordays well that was just an example of dragon dream's possible use in the backrooms, inevitably no matter what you will benefit from using dragon's dream so long as u follow it's directions, more examples could be, escaping enemies, finding useful items like almond milk, etc. Also to your point that the backrooms will only appear itself to you, dragon's dream can still manipulate that although not directly like how in the fight against foo fighters of course they didn't want to be in the electric chair but the user simply standing in the right place made the perfect scenario.

Heaven's door
"I will be knok to the exit of the backroom and i will be completely invisible and inhearable to all eintety"
I watched like five minutes of this before only to realize it's not actually a theory but a Jojo/Backrooms fanfic
I never thought it necessary to drive into the lore or rather the mysticism of the Jojo universe to explain what Giorno achieve
As of this arc, it marks one of the first instances where the threat and those who abide in it happen completely human. No ghouls or demi gods. No ghost entities or alternate dimensions. Even baby face was generated using genes. The requiem ability is probably the closest you get to otherworldly entities
However, what we can see from SCR was that the flow of space and time went out of phase, causing souls to switch and abominations to be created from the misdirection
Looking at Diavalo, his time erasure ability functioned to rob people of their inherent sensibility toward the passage of time. We describe Deja vu as being the registration of events happening in a different order within the brain. And we know that the mind sort of functions as a update to the codec. The hardware just becomes more acutely aware of stigma as it is introduced
Jojo part 5 as ballistic as it was, took the boldest step in attempting to reconcile general relativity and the effect of solipsism. Put plainly GER robbed Diavalo of his main character syndrome. The reason why I find this approach bold is because we have to reconcile more elements to the plot than just moxie or determination. Something the main characters called resolve
Diavalo couldn't simply skip past the flow of a river or whether a bee has its sting. Much in the same way Kira's "carefree" life made him soft in Josuke's eyes
This is a decent segway to my own interpretation of hell with regards to religious theming. Man being made from the dust and adopting physical properties within the domain. Which involve things like sheer force, regeneration, decay and so forth, the events that weigh on the body and soul are subject to the natural laws. Like gravity
Then there are supernatural events that occur beyond our understanding of the domain, such as what makes entropy work or what kind of seismic forces cause an eruption. These are things that hold sway over the body, despite whether or not the events are remote. Your body adopts many of the same features as the earth below your feet. Without water you shrivel up, people accumulate boils and cists which can 'erupt', plate tectonics which give the same striations as stretch marks
Why am I saying all this. Well if we are to assume that the world was brought into motion by these incredible forces, I am led to assume that human beings (as well as creatures and foliage) are the result of the ripple effect from those events. We are the dust of the earth reallocated to serve a purpose within a different period of time. Death, or at least your awareness of it, is the mind recapitulating those events as they have been displaced within your psyche
Paradise lost and other tales which attempt to recapture what hell is touch on this. Who you were when you committed sin is literally etched into the atmosphere, being a weighted measure keeping your identity locked into the earth. And time, as it bowls over the environment, doesn't care whether at this moment, you live in a rent controlled air conditioned apartment. 600 thousand years from now, where you reside could be a desert or submerged 10 leagues below sea level
What that means is that the conscience which is stuck here decimates the soul into various strands of being. And you have no agency, so you are in constant torment with no relief. And if what we are to understand about time is that it resets between universes, you will relive the trauma with no reference point to when anything was or what direction things will lead
Trying this into what's going on with Diavolo.
It's not that Diavalo was sent to a fun house in the sky, his mind was lost to time whereby the religious addage goes "it would be better for that man to have a millstone tied around his neck and that he be cast into the sea"
He would have been better off drowning. But not before he has to relive the horrors of bounce and crunch

Exactly bruh i was so confused and thought i was watching the wrong video
Very similar to the truth, if not, giorno is rightfully considered the antagonist of the 5th part
@@hello-mt7ci how

If Diavolo stays in the loop, then after giorno's death, giorno will go to hell for worse than the loop of death, which giorno does to Diavolo, and most likely, not only with him, makes him the worst villain in jojo

i love these theory videos bc it makes my brain run to think of other ways to make a solution work
a lot of them assume that the backrooms _has_ an exit in it. hermit purple & bastet might not even connect with anything, since there might not be an exit in the first place. harvest, beachboy, doctor wu, & wonder of u having incredible scanning range wouldn't help find a nonexistent exit. heyya's advice would be good for avoiding creatures, but not escaping, & king nothing might've met their match with a maze that has no exit
strength, cream, & za hando could make a hole in the walls to travel through & oasis and diver down can go dive through the floor, but nobody knows where that'll lead, maybe you'll just end up in the backrooms of the backrooms. burning down the house & sticky fingers are useful for making little hiding spots, but when you leave them, you just appear somewhere else in the area instead of escaping the whole place
of all them, i think tusk 3 with its spacial ability, and D4C's ability to literally just go somewhere else have a great chance of escaping the closed-off backrooms. but this is assuming this backrooms has no natural exits, but if it does, then yea all of them have a good chance to find it and get through it
@the man Then why didn't Bruno just teleport through a zipper, straight to the dog mosaic in Pompeii to get Coco Jumbo's key instantly? why go through all the trouble of sending Giorno, Abbacchio, & Fugo the long way?

Jokes aside, the death loop would likely be as limited as Giorno's life span, as the stand effect would end.
It's just basically time so long we literally can't calculate it anymore, maths answer to "how high can we go?" "Where go. Did he?"
Maybe his last death was in part 6 and "dying" through another stand stopped his infinite death loop
Interesting! I played a JoJo's TTRPG campaign where the main JoJo's stand, Nirvana, had a coffin that basically trapped people in the backrooms dimension.
Question : does the death loop update ?

Your idea of the backrooms, while probably the scariest, has become not what is happening in there anymore
His final destination is where the stuff the hand erases goes to
how did this go from a jojo theory to a backrooms theory
Pretty sure I subscribed to you on accident, anyway. Nice video im keeping the subscription as it is.

how I and a friend have always put it is that diavolo has already died in that alley, but what's going on is that he is experiencing this 'infinite death loop' from an evolved form of the life energy berserk effect that we saw with Bruno. His brain is hyped up on so much life energy, he is experiencing all these deaths and 'never reach the truth' as his brain will never arrive at his actual death, he is experiencing all these deaths so fast, but to him its eternity.
