- I was gonna include some lofi tracks over it, but my computer would not export the video, so it's just some gameplay. I played this on Medium difficulty on Xbox One.

The overwhelming nostalgia I received JUST from the loading screens.
For some reason my favorite part of this game was zooming into the planet while it was loading... crazy nostalgia

If it really is coming back I hope the only big change is updated graphics and fixed hit boxes so head shots are actually head shots.

Nice one. Actually I think if the unit count for an army drops below around the 25 mark, the Jedi hero becomes vulnerable. So you can execute Order 66 on them at that point, which is actually rather satisfying (especially if they've been mowing you down for the battle).

34:30 from this point forward it’s like a creepy scary movie. You’re all by yourself in a creepy rainforest against 6 mechanical abominations trying to kill you, and it’s dead quiet
honestly preferred bf1 over bf2 despite the sequel fleshing out 1's flaws - although I don't miss being sniped by the scouts hiding in glitched spots or being detpacked half way across the map
Yeah I also wished the second one let you use air vehicles while in a ground battle like many of the maps let you do in this first one

Luckily there are bf1 maps for bf2
I also liked BF1 over BF2. It felt more immersive plus you could fly gunships/fighters in battles and the AI was more sophisticated in the first game.

@@littlebooy I know right! Epic! I remember if a Jedi is on your side, it's cool since you can advance with troops behind them (like they're a Jedi General). Also if they fall, then it creates pressure. The other way round, it was terrifying to hear a Droideka unfurl behind you, or similarly to see the Jedi hero advancing up the walkway toward you! What a game.

This unlocked memories for me. I'd be so excited to log in hella hours playing this. I even got my brother hooked on it. I miss playing this.
Here after the Classic Collection was announced for XBOX X/S,PS5 and Switch! So far 2024 has been a good year for gaming!
I distictly remember coming home from the store with this game, absolutely chomping at the bit to play it, and having to assure my daughter who was in kindergarten at the time, that I was only going to play for a minute or two just to get the feel of it 😂 I did, but made up for it over the next several years 😂 What a game! 🎮

Is it just me or were rebels vs empire battles way more fun?
I do find some of the maps more enjoyable when it's RvE, especially when they include flying vehicles!
Little did we know at the time how much both Star Wars & graphics would change. Memorable game. Something I would want my kids to play to get a taste of my childhood.

Used to play this in split screen with my dad on PS2. Never had BF2 unfortunately, but I did get to play it later on. Still puzzles me why BF2 got rid of going prone
Rebel Pilots don't deserve to live. Easily killed me with their one-shot shotguns. Glad they were nerfed in the sequel.
They really were OP, especially at higher difficulties. 🥴

I remember one of the maps(I don't remember the name of the map) that the Republics had an advantage over the droids. The droids would spawn on the small land and had to run through the water to get to the beach but the droidekas would automatically die in a few seconds being in the water because they apparently drowned when rolling in the water. Also love that when you use explosives in the water, you see dead fishes float.
@@ismaelvalle4372 You're right! I remember the droidekas would immediately start losing health when rolling around in the water. And if I remember correctly I think the map is Kashyyyk: Docks

Battlefront 1 and 2 remaster coming this March LETSSSSS GOOOOOOO
This was back when it was player vs player. No mods or unlocked weapons. Pick the soldier and you got the blaster rifle, pistol and a grenade, nothing else. Wanna pick the guy with the rocket launcher? Cool you also get a pistol and a grenade.
No special powers you can choose from that get better with a killstreak. Or weapons you have to pay for.
It was a level playing field that only cared about skill and smart tactics.
I remember when the beta version of this game came out. We could only play the Endor map again and again until we fell asleep. Life was simplier then. I'm happy to get a glimpse of it
I loved this map, especially that first corridor you went down. I was bummed it didn't come back in BF2.

Every time I zoom in on Google maps the loading screen plays in the back of my head.
I miss this game. I had it on PS2 years ago. Elite difficulty was so much fun. I also think the drodika were a lot harder to kill which made it more fun. The heroes/villians only being killed by landing a ship on them or running them over with a speeder was epic.
I used to loved playing Empire on this.

I love this game. The one thing I couldn’t stand however was how slow the blaster bolts traveled. If you ever played Endor in story mode, you’d understand.
I know what you mean! Although I guess they made in such a way for the player to be able to avoid getting shot, but yeah.
Is it just me or does the 3rd person camera on Xbox seem so much more zoomed in than the PS2 and PC versions
It does I remember playing this on ps2 and the Xbox version FOV seems to be way closer sadly also the hero’s don’t block like on ps2

@@davidtrooper1517 Unfortunately, not to my knowledge. Xbox had done it with making original Xbox games backwards compatible with the newer consoles. I don't believe the PS4 implemented the same with some of their older games.

Well they're the same thing really. The game will say "Separatist forces have captured a Comand Post," etc. You'd call someone a Separatist if they're involved with the CIS. CIS is just the name of their government.

The 2005 sequel was way better than this game ever was.
This was the second game I ever played, first one being lego star wars the video game. Battlefront 2004 will forever have a place in my heart. I'm getting a gaming pc this Christmas, and this will be the first game I play on it, the nostalgia will hit me like a bus. Hearing the sounds, seeing the visuals, it's going to be a very very good time. Also, this looks like the PC version, and from what I've heard there's no aim assist, but it looks like you have sub assist, is that an option in game?
Edit: I'm not sure why I thought it was the PC version, I can see the xbox layout... Ignore my ignorance!
